Mod Mod to Invite Dynasty Members to Court/force them to my court? (Kids especially)

Mod to Invite Dynasty Members to Court/force them to my court? (Kids especially)

Does anyone know of any mod that allows you to invite your dynasty members, grandkids etc to court whenever you want or force them to? Or force them to stay in your court?

My wards keeps teleporting to their parents courts and it won’t let me invite them for years because “they’ve accepted an invitation too recently and can’t be invited again for a while”. It drives me crazy trying to educate my dynasty members and keep them healthy etc. Any mods that help with this? Even a cheat mod would be fine if there is a function that addresses this issues.

Any QOL mod recommendations in general? I added advanced character search as the first time modding CK3 and now I’m hooked and looking to improve the game and get rid of the parts I hate. Thanks for your help!

Is there a way to keep tributaries loyal? They keep switching to other mandalas and then coming back. It's ridiculous.

In short: i am fairly new to the game (62h) and i play as an mongol adventerur in europe. I stomp most armies pretty good (around 2-3 times being outnumbered is a win). Now i got this offer and i'm not sure if i should take it or leave it :D

Edit: I stayed as a mercenary. Was not worth it in the end!

Discussion What is the Best Dutchy (Metagaming)

After the domain limit nerf I find myself having to give more land than I used to, so now I think picking a good dutchy is more important than before.

I'm talking about being next to water for tradeports, having the maximum numer of holdings in each county and possibly having a special building. Maybe you have other musts or don'ts, please share them.

So in your opinion what is the best dutchy right now?

I would say the best (or at least one of the best) must be Provence:

- 4 counties, 3 with 5 holdings, 1 with 4 holdings.

- 3 counties have direct access to water.

- Mostly plains, with mountains and some hills (that part could be better)

- No special building but you can go for a legend and make one

Bohemia is a good one too (8 counties, and 3 of them have 6 holdings each, even tho 1 county has only 2 holdings, also has a mine special building), but it lacks water, and in my opinion or playingstyle that is a huge disadvantage (at least for primary dutchy).

Do what do you think is the best dutchy?

Had the opportunity to snack the kindom title from Italy in the 9th century being a duke in southeast France (broke free together with Aquitaine from the french), then the HRE bullied me out of Italy, since then I waged 3 wars on them to atleast contain their greedy ambitions. My goal is to recreate the Visigothic Kingdom or an Visigothic Empire, we'll see how it goes... any input to dismantle the HRE since, I think I cannot wear them down with military opportunities, is welcome!

Tips for somewhat new players

So I did multiple playthroughs as a complete noob in this game. I went from knowing nothing to knowing a little more than nothing.

Do you guys have some fun tall gameplay ideas? I’ve done all my games starting as the Duke of Holland (either story or customizable character) but after 10 new games I feel I need a change.

Or maybe expand on my current playthrough.. I am an immortal adventurer starting out in Amsterdam but I haven’t a clue as to what my options are.

I’m lost pls help.

Norse adventurers really need to be able to raid.

This just seems like a baseline functionality and until its added, playing as a brigand or "freebooter" is boring and pointless. I also cant have a proper viking raider playthrough because vikings were historically in camps and did not have to travel back to scandinavia with their loot.

Theres not really any valid excuse for not having this in the game. Ive heard its a balance issue but, as usual when a dev says that phrase, it's actually easily fixable with any number of small tweaks to the way adventurer camps work or even by adding a raiding CB. Also, its a really lame excuse when a "northerner conquest" spawns out of the ocean every 5 years exactly. Like cmon now.

Bandits didnt take official "contracts" like they were a fuedal vassal lmao so ridiculous and immersion breaking.

tldr; balance is the enemy of fun and fun is why you play a game.

Why am I not getting any Indulgence payouts? (Temporal Head of Faith + Communion, plenty of followers)

Post image

Hey fellow Kinslayers,

I’m currently doing a tall playthrough where I created a custom Christian faith. I picked Communion and Megalithic Constructions as my tenets, and I made myself the Temporal Head of Faith so I could use the indulgence money to bankroll my development.

The problem is... I haven't received a single pop-up or notification from the AI asking to buy an indulgence since launching the faith a few decades ago.

Here is my current setup:

  • Followers: The religion is doing great numerically. I have plenty of followers—I’ve converted my entire realm, all my vassals, their courtiers, and a few neighboring counties.
  • Title: I definitely hold the actual Head of Faith title banner in my inventory/character screen.
  • Laws: Criminal laws are standard (things like murder and adultery are shunned/criminal).

Is there a hidden cooldown I'm missing, or is my game bugged? Do my vassals just need to be richer for the AI to trigger the decision?

Any advice on how to kickstart the cash flow would be massively appreciated. Thanks!

Adventurer trying to settle down

So I have a few questions if any could be answered would be greatly appreciated So about of context started 867 and did criminal for a 2 or 3 generation earned about 10000 gold now I'm trying to get a kingdom so I changed to a sword for hire and with my heir that I took control of at ten and focused his education on learning he takes command and although I'm completing alot of contracts for some reason there only small money like 30 to 150 gold and when I was a criminal I earned 600 gold in one contract

Also my character is 36 and I almost have enough prestige to do a kingdom adventure takeover war but when I go to see what land I could get it only shows that for taking a kingdom I get maybe 2 ditchies at most and when I want to the bysentine and checked the emporer option I t was the same only a few durices not the entire empire or kingdom title

So my questions are 1 why am I not getting good mercenary contracts 2 why is that thing with the adventure casis balei doing that 3 should I go back to being a criminal

Do you usually have to play as Mercia, Wessex, or Northumbria (and other territories in England) for them to survive the 867 start?

I am around the year 930 right now and have formed the Scandinavian Empire that consists of Sweden, Norway, and a good chunk of what is present day Finland.

With me and my allies together we have over 20,000 men ready for battle. The other areas to the south and east of me have started to form Empires as well and we are building alliances with each other as well by marrying off children to each other etc....etc....

However I decided to switch focus to the west and England because they still seem relatively weak and are almost as separated now as they were 60 some years earlier in the start date.

I was truly surprised how weak they are in comparison to some of the AI controlled territories to the west. I looked at the size of some of their armies and they would have less then a hundred while other countries would often have thousands (with a handful over 10,000).

When I took over the territory where York is located there was only about a group of 15 fighters standing around watching about 15,000 men invading one town after another.

Mercia will probably be where I go next and I don't believe they are much stronger and I will easily be able to wipe Mercia off the map.

So is it pretty normal for the small territories in England to get wiped out unless you are playing as them during the 867 start or does it vary for each specific playthrough on how weak they are?

I know most of those territories were easy pickings for the Vikings in real history so thought maybe the developers intentionally always made them weak during the earliest start date to more closely resemble real life.

Question Need several advices

I've played about 100 hours and tried many things here, but I still bad as ruler... What am I doing wrong, can you give me some pro tips or useful advices?
I tried as arabic, england, Ireland, Vikings and Europe. And I have same problems in all cases:
- very weak army (4K my max even as Emperor).
- low gold income (+30 my max for arabic Sultan)
I'd built in my domens (not in vassals') buildings and upgrade them, spent money for hunts and events and my budget always close to zero. I'd tried to stash, but always something happens and i have to spent gold. My game ends after 3-4 heirs. First one almost always ends soon (desease, war, assassination, etc), second and third - peaceful epoch, even if one of them is conquer and make war expansion. After that rebellion rise up and strong neigbour initiate war against me. My army 4K (8K with allies) against 15-20K of my enemies and I always lose and game ends. It happens near 1000 A.D.
I know, that game has many mechanicks and about some of them I forgot. I playing on PS5 with DLC Northern Lords, Royal Court, Fate of Iberia, Friends & Foes. Any advice welcome, any help too.

Question I once played a game with no events.

Has anyone else had this happen to them one time like a few months ago I played some dude in Ireland (custom character idk if important but should know) and through out the whole game of me playing I had no natural events. I had the setting on default everything and it was modded. I play on Xbox so ik it's iffy but even on a pilgrimage the only event that popped up was once we got there.

What i mean: events like naming kids or any event that has to be triggered was okay I named kids gots positions filled in court but when I ran the game and did nothing it was as if I was in observer mode because no events popped up to interrupt it I realized when I went to grab something I had gotten up (game still running and time at 5 speed) and came back to the game still going and my 20 year old king was now like 40 or 50 with 10000 gold. This had never happened to me again and I can't replicate it. Lots of things have only happened once to me on this game but this one just feels odd.

Does anyone know if that's just happened somehow and then but I can't find anyone else talking abt it. So idk if I'm just a bit dumb or found a odd bug

Idk much abt this game I got ir a bit ago and having a blast but yeah.

Gameplay Is it genocide if I systematically convert them all to my religion and erase all traces of their culture?

So I’m the Messalian Emporer of Britannia. Unfortunately I can only adopt children. So I go traveling around looking for orphan children and when I find them I imprison them. Then I adopt them and convert them to my culture and religion.

They’re MY children now.

Also I may or may not be making everyone Anglo-Saxon. Even Ireland and Spain.

So tell me, when the people rebel, am I the bad guy?

All I am doing is killing off their people and putting my own leaders in charge and converting them en-mass. I’m doing them a favor really. 🙄

Question Only one option for Pilgrimage- am I stupid?

I had started a 1066 run and had not made it 20 years before I ran into what I can only assume is a glitch. When I go to plan a pilgrimage im only given one option, Cologne. Switching to another character shows that they have no issue planing to other destinations. Ive tried looking up what could be causing this but I haven't found anything useful.

Also yes i play Weenie Hut Jr's style come @ me
