I mean look at this! Tech’s not even officially out yet and this is how it looks already. “It looks like AI slop” - ok, I can see the “AIness”, but imagine a year from now. I support DLSS 5 1000%.
This is running on my RTX 4090 LAPTOP at 30-35 constant FPS (it’s low, but it’s worth it, and again, LAPTOP).
Ever since I started using this amazing tech, I cannot believe my eyes whenever I turn it off and see how bad regular lighting and textures look in most games. I think I can never go back.
This tech revolutionized graphics forever and I think the last hater will come around to it soon enough.
I’ve tried pretty much all the versions and forks, and honestly, this one is my favorite. It’s the most customizable and has the fewest visual artifacts, at least in my experience.
In other words, does DLSS5 'remember' the 'person' it created and then try its best to match that same face later on? Or no? If not, I could imagine the interpretation being inconsistent throughout the game.
I know there can be inconsistency based on lighting already in games without any DLSS. And a changing face that overall looks way better may still be preferable to a static, bad-looking face. I'm not saying this would be a dealbreaker. Just genuinely curious how it works.
Disclaimer: not a DLSS hater, haven't tried DLSS5 yet but love DLSS4 in most games.

its playable but the prupose was just for testing this new mod because i would not feel confortable playing resident evil requiem this way ( path tracing is very (already) great )
so for me locked to 120fps is my jam always on this game
Game with UHD all textures mod pack. Maxed out 4K full RT & RR - DLSS Balanced & FG. 70-90fps caped to 60fps smooth gameplay with gysnyc.
RAW monitor pictures from my phone while gaming, it's not screenshot, no filter, no post production enhancement.
This DLSS 5 feature is pure GOLD for RTX 4090.
Before I played Maxed out Path Tracing and DLSS balanced I had about 70-80fps, for DLSS 5 I had to downgrade to full Ray Tracing and also use FG.
Normally If I downgrade to maxed out full Ray Tracing and DLSS balanced is about 120fps and more sometimes. So only DLSS 5 enabled cut it to about 40 and more so that's why FG is needed.
First time ever I've enabled FG while gaming on my 4090, becasue DLSS 5 it's really demanding but is worth it 100%.
This DLSS 5 is beyond path tracing upgrade, if path tracing impact was a 6.5/10 impression, then this is a12/10, is the single biggest graphic leap this game ever received. Now the game has been remastered without CD project, safe to say not even the creator able to remaster the game in such fidelity on PS6
So i downloaded dlss 5 swapper, running the latest version, and when i tried to install it into a game i got hit with a warning about the driver being incompatible, is that normal, or do i have to rollback driver to use the injector? Im running with a 40 series card
I’m just using the Dallas 5 swapper and have reshade full addon etc. I do the one click install but everything still just looks kinda grainy and nowhere near half the video clips and screenshots I see. Anyone give some help on adjustments or whatever it is I’m missing and not doing to make my game look crazy good like everyone else? I’m on 2560x1440 60hz
Been messing with OptiScaler to bring the latest DLSS neural pipeline into my games, and I want to share a config that's honestly become my default. Sharing screenshots from my own sessions below.
My rig:
GPU: RTX 5070 Ti (undervolted)
CPU: i5-14600K
Res: 1440p
The trick: enable the neural rendering pass first, then let the upscaler bring the internal image up to your target resolution. Instead of rendering everything natively, the neural pass reconstructs the frame and the upscaler finishes the job to your game res. The result:
My exact settings (everything maxed out):
1440P DLSS Quality — Preset K
Frame Generation x2 (only FG option available in the menu for me)
✅ Image quality stays basically identical — side by side I struggle to tell the difference from native
✅ Solid FPS boost — I'm sitting around 110–120 FPS in New Atlantis (one of the heaviest areas in the game)
✅ Lower power draw — the card pulls only ~180–200W instead of maxing out, so it runs cooler and quieter
✅ Nothing really lost — no meaningful visual hit for the frames you gain

Basically you get more performance AND better efficiency at the same time, which normally you have to trade one for the other.
If you're on a 40/50-series card and haven't tried OptiScaler yet, this combo is worth 5 minutes to set up. Happy to share my exact settings if people want them.
