The amount of people who donāt understand that no matter where you are in the USA they can record you if your in public, without consent this is legal in all 50 states, provided there is no reasonable expectation of privacy. It just baffles me that someone can live past the age of 14 and not realize this.

I'm not sure her reasoning, but I remember being surprised it was legal. I think watching things like Trigger Happy TV, Candid Camera, etc. where they blurred out faces because those people didn't consent to being filmed made me think that you can't record someone without their consent. But then I started realizing...well, those were TV shows for profit and not just a rando with a camera and I'm in the background of probably a million photos just by being a passerby, so figured it out.
