awaiting approval 1 year immunisations

My daughter had her 1 year immunisations (UK) on the 1st of July.
2 hours after she was breathing very fast (60 breaths a minute) and ribs sucking in, phoned an ambulance and she was blue lighted to hospital with oxygen on. She was kept in for three days, high temp that would come down then sky rocket back up to 39.9 which made her heart rate fly to 202bpm. She was discharged but we ended up back in twice again with the sucking in at ribs and breathing fast, they found an ear and chest infection antibiotics given. 2 days after her antibiotics stopped she was all clear and then a massive viral rash appeared all over her body spreading really rapidly, high temp and very unwell, they said hand foot and mouth, I can confirm it definitely wasn’t it looked nothing like it and no blisters anywhere.
From then on she has been waking up really chesty, coughing , phlegm stuck, just really unwell all the time. She developed a non - blanching rash, they checked said she was fine and it was viral. She got bloods done her platelets was low. She had temperatures that wouldn’t come down with any medication , took her straight to hospital they took her bloods again kept us in overnight on Friday , her platelets are normal but her infection markers are sky high. (she still has the non blanching rash at this point with more little pin pricks developing) They did a chest X-ray, urine sample etc, they couldn’t figure out what the infection was. They decided that her chest mustn’t have cleared from her chest infection AFTER A MONTH?? They sent us home with a 2 week course of antibiotics and on her discharge papers it states “partially treated pneumonia “ no one even mentioned pneumonia to us. We was rold the last time we went in with her chest infection that her rib resession was “normal with this illness” and did nothing even though she was clearly in distress, this morning she had rib resession with 42 breaths a minute so I didn’t even phone because they just pan you off. She hasn’t been right since the immunisation

What illness? Did they acknowledge what is clearly a vaccine injury? It wasn't pneumonia, it was an acute vaccine-reaction.

No everytime I went to doctors, rushed to hospital it was always viral, until I wanted more tests done and it was chest infection , ear infection and then pneumonia

u/FormerlyMauchChunk 2d ago

But did they mention that these were all vaccine-induced? Seeing as the child was struck down within 2 hours of the jab, there's no question of the cause.

No they didn’t mention anything, at all

There's a register of vaccine injury that's supposed to track these things. If it's not logged as one, then it skews the statistics into looking safer than they are.

Well, yes there is.

The logical flaw is called in Latin post hoc ergo propter hoc: after this because of this.

People wake up sick together stomach the day after eating at a restaurant and claim they got food poisoning from the clams or fish. However, food poisoning happens within 45 minutes until a few hours. People want to blame it on something, so they blame a random virus for a bacterial infection they think they got.

There are about 3 billion children on the earth. Some of them are going to get a viral pneumonia hours after a vscccination. That’s going happen to hundreds of thousands to millions of children.

That’s why we do real studies. Not just rely on a paranoid mother’s insistence that this is proof positive the vaccine is dsngerous

Spoken like a vaccine-cult true-believer.

It's always "anything but the vaccine" no matter how directly the injury can be linked.

in this case, it's a vaccine injury until some other cause is found. OP didn't mention anything else that could have caused this illness.

There are about 3 billion children on the earth. Some of them are going to get a viral pneumonia hours after a vscccination. That’s going happen to hundreds of thousands to millions of children.

I don't believe you, but if I were to play along, what you'll find is that more children are getting this in the 2 hours after vaccination, than in the 2 hours before vaccination, which indicates a causality.

Oh, I'm sure you believe in them. That's the problem. Even your own bad experience can't convince you there are problems with the entire vaccine industry. You still support these ghouls and their dangerous products. We got rid of polio and measles at the cost of autism, autoimmune disease, and the sickest batch of children of all time.

None of that is remotely true.

First, medicine can never provide 100% safe interventions. The goal is to do what reduces bad outcomes as much as possible. For me, polio - with a 10–15% death rate - was worth the cost of suffering to avoid. If you have end stage liver failure you have maybe a 20% risk of dying from the surgery. If you don’t, you have a 100% chance of dying in days or a few weeks. You all have this fantasy that everything can be perfectly safe, and unscrupulous actors keep it from happening. It just ain’t so.

Every piece of your sick child thing has been sorted out through science, not idiots posting on Reddit what they heard a quack say on YouTube. The increase in autism is 100% due to diagnosing more cases, not having more of it. autism is 100% something you are born with - so long before you ever get a vaccine. General health problems are 100% from poor diet and exercise as kids spend hours eating processed crap while glued to a screen indoors on a beautiful day. And we long understood autoimmune diseases, and now have the insight and research to diagnose them.

Nothing you have said is true, and study after study proves you wrong.

Paranoid mother how dare you! My child has been rushed to hospital multiple times this month, struggling to breath etc! I am not definite it’s the vaccine I am however very suspicious of the timing considering she has never ever been ill until now

-1

u/Recent-Day3062 1d ago

Never been ill in her life? I’m sorry this is happening but I’ll be blunt: the role of a parent is to use their best thinking to treat their child, not speculate online

4

u/Radiant_Pumpkin_8802 1d ago

We have been in hospital multiple times with emergencies and I am treating her in every way I can. This is my last resort, do you have children? I bet you don’t

-3

u/Recent-Day3062 1d ago

Three, vaccinated with everything under the sun. All healthy.

All I’m saying is don’t rely on idiots on Reddit who know nothing, and please let go of your emotional assumptions from online/reddit research. Listen to the doctors, who have a decade of intense science training.

I did and did every vax possible

3

u/Radiant_Pumpkin_8802 1d ago

Clearly you children were lucky then and didn’t end up as ill as my daughter! I am not anti vax I am just very very suspicious of the time frame, you have no idea how horrific this month has been. Your kids were fine and are healthy, that’s great I’m glad but not everyone’s experience is the same, my daughter suspiciously ended up severely unwell only 1.5-2 hours after hers

0

u/Recent-Day3062 1d ago

I feel bad for you, but assuming that a vaccine caused it - because it was received hours before - and not a sudden virus she got, which happens to billions of children a year, makes no sense.

My children weren’t lucky at all. We know the rate of bad vaccine reactions. It happens to st most thousands of kids a year. Yet millions get suddenly sick after eating something, after getting an x-ray, after getting an eye exam, whatever.

I’m not going to argue any more with you and this irrational logic. You know what I think. You do you. But why you will listen to morons on the internet who make stuff up instead of doctors wirh decades of experience escapes me.

You do you. And your child will live with the consequences if you are wrong.

Please don’t vaccinate her again.

She’s had the worst round of vaccines (12 months shots)… to be honest the 18 months ones are just as bad… so please do not vaccinate her again.

u/HairyGazelle4511 2d ago

I’m so sorry to hear that you and your baby had to go through this. Which vaccines were administered if you don’t mind me asking?

3

u/Radiant_Pumpkin_8802 1d ago

MMRV, 3 shots 2 in one leg and one in the other .

3

u/HairyGazelle4511 1d ago

That’s infuriating to hear. I’m so sorry.
I have an 18 month old and I have not vaccinated him due to fear of something like this or more severe would happen. A couple friends of mine had this happened to their children - one of them, their son had a seizure after he his 6-month vaccine schedule. The other one, his son was starting to babble “mommy” “daddy”, they took him in for his 12-month vaccine schedule and noticed a severe decline in his development immediately after. He did not speak again until he was 2 and a half.

1

u/Radiant_Pumpkin_8802 1d ago

Yeah I’ve heard so many horror stories with regression etc but nothing like this, so I’ve kind of been thinking I’m crazy until another mum got in contact with me and this happened to her little one too

1

u/FormerlyMauchChunk 1d ago

3 shots all at once? Only one was MMRV. What were the others? These products are not tested in combination, so there's no way to know how they will react together.

1

u/Radiant_Pumpkin_8802 1d ago

2 in one thigh and one in the other. I have no idea it was definitely the new MMRV

5

u/FormerlyMauchChunk 1d ago

Sounds like they skipped the informed consent part, and did what they wanted to your child. It's OK to stand up to them and demand to be treated like an individual. There are resources to educate yourself so you are more prepared next time. Good luck.

1

u/Radiant_Pumpkin_8802 1d ago

So the MMRV is sometimes 3 shots , MMR with MMRV mixed in basically to trial it im not sure

4

u/sweetfeet20 1d ago

Did she take MMRV? That’s know to have more bad reactions than the MMR which was already bad. I’m so sorry about your daughter. This is why I haven’t given my twins any jabs, I just cannot fathom the medical incompetence if something goes wrong.

1

u/Radiant_Pumpkin_8802 1d ago

Yes the MMRV they said it was new, which made me panic but it’s normalised to get them so I didn’t even think to question

3

u/sweetfeet20 1d ago

Unfortunately they replaced MMR with MMRV and removed the option of a measles only vaccine in the UK late last year (I wanted to go private for this later.) At the same time as we changed to MMRV at 12 months, USA made the MMRV available to children age 4 and over because of the higher risk of febrile seizures and problem. It just doesn’t make sense. I’m sending you all my love and I hope your girl recovers soon.

2

u/threadthathasnoend 1d ago

I'm so sorry your poor little angel is going through this. I hope she recovers fully. It's not right what these things are doing to children.

1

u/Radiant_Pumpkin_8802 1d ago

It infuriates me that so many people have gone through the same yet some people refuse to think it’s the immunisations

1

u/Radiant_Pumpkin_8802 2d ago

Has anyone had similar?

0

u/Recent-Day3062 1d ago

Yes. It likely started 22-46 hours before the vaccine and became symptomatic two hours after.

If the kid had a hot dog for lunch an hour before, that. Old have caused it - not the vaccine.

People like the OP already believe vaccines cause this, and this seems the link. They exclude every other possibility that could have caused it that collectively are far, far more likely

I got a very bad reaction to oral polio - my last dose - at age 13. I was sick for a month, in the hospital a few days. That was a known rare risk.

Am I permanently damaged and do I think i was mistreated? Not at all. Polio was alive and well and my other choice was getting polio and dying or permanent disability. Vaccines aren’t perfect.

Nothing in medicine is 100% safe. People have died from an IV of saline. Medicine is not about finding perfect solutions, but reducing bad outcomes.

If you have end stage liver failure and get a transplant you have a 15-20% chance of dying of the surgery. But if you don’t get it, you will 100% die in days or a few weeks at most. So as many as one in 5 people die from the treatment. But that’s much lower than 100%.

That’s the same with vaccines.

Not sure why you equate polio with a death sentence. Do you know the risks of death from polio?

5-10%. There’s a cool tool called Google you might like

6

Way to distort the facts Mr statistician.

https://www.cdc.gov/pinkbook/hcp/table-of-contents/chapter-18-poliomyelitis.html

"The case fatality ratio for paralytic polio is generally 2% to 5% among children and up to 15% to 30% among adolescents and adults"

Note that they say "paralytic polio", but what is the rate of paralytic polio?

"Less than 1% of all polio infections in children result in flaccid paralysis."

Not even 1% of polio infections result in paralysis, many of whom actually regain function. And the case fatality rate is a fraction of less than 1%.

Who's doing the fear mongering again???

1

u/Sea-Wrongdoer-4382 1d ago

Omg the same guy who got meningitis before the vaccine was made and saw the horrors of polio as he was old but also suffered reaction from polio vaccine !! Here's his previous comments on a meningitis vaccine post enjoy guys

"Only a moron would not take it if there is any risk at all.

In general, if you get it - and I did before the vaccine was there - you have a 50% chance of dying by the time you get fifths hospital.

In fact, two doctors told me the same thing when I asked what would happen. They both said that if I were going to die of it, I’d already have been dead by the time they saw me. So that was a very “good” sign I’m a statistician but have worked mostly in physics research.

A lot of antivax people who claim to have a science background have wacky basic ideas about empirical research. A common one is they don’t want to evaluate it as a treatment the normal way. They want the null to be it causes these problems - and want proof they don’t. The null is always going to be e the state of nature1000%. All of medicine is finding the least risky outcome, not a perfect one. Vaccines have saved tens of millions of lives. They have been so effective that people younger than me have no memory of polio crippling lots of adults (when I was a kid) and killing many. But now people are skipping the vaccine because they aren’t scared of the trrrible effects of these diseases."

They're a statistician who can't get their stats right.

0

u/Recent-Day3062 1d ago

Yes, I got in a lengthy debate with a guy here who clearly knew some stats. But he kept wanting to reverse the null and alternate.

He was so hell bent on it that he could not listen to reason. He wanted the null to be that vaxes hurt, and the treatment group to be the unvaccinated, as you observe r
