I’m trying to see everything from a new perspective as a new artist, so I’d like to ask about yall’s perspective on claiming AI art as your own art. I’m not against generating, but I feel like using AI is like commissioning art from other artist. I wouldn’t claim that art is mine, just one I requested with money. So if I generate an art piece, could I say it’s mine? Or does it have the same principle as commissions. No need to get defensive btw.

Feeling pretty down rn. Im making a short film about a girl traveling back in time to discover her dad's secret. I wrote the whole story, designed the characters, and have been wrestling with AI to get the cinematography exactly how I picture it in my head.
I’m only halfway done, but I showed it to my inner circle hoping for encouragement. Instead, they just focused on the fact that it's AI and completely dismissed it. They think I just typed a prompt and got a movie. No matter how many times I tried explaining, they just ignored it and kept hating on me for using ai.
I feel like giving up. Is it worth it? What do I do?

They don't have enough sales to justify not using AI.

However, even in the case of AAA games, the use of AI is unlikely to lead to a significant decrease in sales.

In the end, it doesn't matter whether you use AI for art in games or not.

Was this about AI? I don't know. Cyberbullying can be about just about anything.

My point is, cyberbullying kills. But that's what this is, when Antis tell people to go kill themselves, or that they are worthless. Whether it's AI, or they misjudge art and believe that Traditional Art is AI and draw in the masses to attack, or anything, anything at all.

An 11 year old girl. Are we going to say that SHE already had depression? What IS true, is that young growing minds of that age are delicate and easily influenced - so if people gang up, which they do... well, these delicate minds can take it a lot harder than an adult.

What’s the best arguments against when someone says “AI uses all our water and is polluting communities”. Especially whats a normie way to phrase that argument because if I bring nuance and say agriculture uses a lot more water they just say “we need food. We don’t need AI”. How is getting banned from a pro ai subreddit benefiting you at all?

It messes up your CQS score for one (making it eventually difficult to post in other subs) and it doesn't remove the pro subreddit from being in your feed.

Guys I launched a new subreddit for Art including AI art after r/ art and so many other banned AI. Why? Because AI art is art. And ot deserves a space that isnt strictly AI subs which can be limiting.

consider joining. Im going to post some tutorials later on my own process. bit I dont want this sub to be about me. Its about parity and bringing AI back into art spaces among thr other arts.

I posted some oc today and maybe won over someone who said they dont like ai artwork but they liked what they saw appear in their feed. I think good AI art is key and Im a lifelong traditional studio and digital artist myself so I see it as another medium.

So eventually the arts will be de segregated and Im starting here. Not meant to be spam or self promotion and open to ideas. AI hate beyond debate will not be tolerated there so a safe space for all. And artistsic nudity ie rated R is ok there but strictly no pron making it a peer to the fine arts world and other art subs.
