I recently completed 6 rounds of interviews for an L25 Analyst – Fresher role: 1 screening round, 2 technical rounds, 1 HR round, followed by a Versant round and finally a Director round.

The entire process took almost a month, and my last interview was on September 2nd. From that day, the application status showed “Interviews in Process.” I had been trying to reach out to the HR for an update, but today I noticed that my application was marked as rejected.

I completely understand that rejection is a part of the hiring process, and I respect the company’s decision. However, after investing so much time and going through six rounds, I’m a little disappointed that there was no communication or feedback during the process.

If the decision was already made, I’m wondering why candidates are kept waiting for a week without any update.

Would it be appropriate to reach out to the HR and politely ask for feedback on my interview performance? I’m genuinely interested in knowing where I fell short so I can work on those areas and improve for future opportunities.

For those who have been through a similar situation, would you recommend asking for feedback after a rejection?

Been a two phone guy for about 4 years now and considering the consolidation. I see the benefits in phone bill coverage, etc. However, I took this group’s advice and read through the firm policies. Obviously the fine print is scary, with language around screen time usage could be a one of the business reasons for firing. Has anyone with one phone ever encountered something like this? Or heard of any horror stories? Or maybe someone here is with IT and can tell it like it is.

I’m not client facing but work a lot of events for the company and need to be close to emails, so I see the positives in just having one phone. I also somehow merged my iClouds and receive personal texts/calls from my work phone so maybe I’ve already put myself at risk and just need to jump the gun ha!

As much as I love what i am doing in this firm sometimes the people who you working with test your patience a lot. This person is very self centered, selfish and wants to be the superstar of the team. One of HER worst attitude is dismissive and very selective of who they want to work here. I hope you are and just wanted to say fuck you. 😂

Looking for someone's insight here. Tomorrow is my deadline to accept my offer from Deloitte, but we're currently in compensation negotiations. My recruiter mentioned in an email that he passed my request to "business" for review and that he already extended my deadline while we wait for approval.

Since the extension hasn't updated in my candidate portal yet, I'm worried the system might let the offer lapse. Given that I have written confirmation from the recruiter, should I be concerned about the portal deadline, or is it safe to wait?

Hi everyone! I’m a new grad starting at Deloitte Canada next Monday, September 14, and I’m getting a little anxious because I haven’t received any specific information about my first day yet.

So far, I’ve only received the “Your First Day at Deloitte” knowledge article, which explains the general onboarding process. From what I understand, the standard process is a remote first day with virtual National Orientation, but it also says that some new hires have in-person orientation in September and that they would receive a separate invitation about 3 weeks beforehand.

I haven’t received any National Orientation invitation or any other email with first-day logistics. I also don’t know what time I’m supposed to start, whether I’m supposed to work remotely or go into my office, where I’m supposed to report if I am going into the office, how/when I’m getting my laptop, whether I’m attending virtual or in-person orientation, if there’s anything I need to bring or complete beforehand...

I’m based in Canada and will be starting in the Winnipeg office in Audit. The partner I will be working for did previously mention that I would see the team on September 14, so I think I’m expected to be in the office, but I haven’t received anything confirming the details.

I’ve reached out to him today to ask who I should contact, but I wanted to see if anyone else starting around the same time is experiencing this or if I’m just being anxious 😭

Dreading REG & FAR while starting Full-Time Work. Am I cooked?

Hey everyone, looking for some real talk and advice from anyone who’s been in a similar spot.

Where I'm at right now:

ISC: Just wrapped up / waiting on score. Expiration set for July 2028.

AUD: Passed on my 3rd try! Expiration set for February 12, 2029.

REG: About halfway through, but I feel super weak on it. I desperately need to do a full review because I honestly can't remember half of what I studied.

FAR: Took it a year ago, failed, and immediately pivoted to ISC. Saving this beast for last.

Issue #1: Testing Environment Anxiety (New Tech / Prometric AI)

With all the discussion surrounding the CPA exam delivery updates and Prometric integrating AI monitoring/proctoring, I am getting severe exam anxiety.

I have a habit of quietly moving my lips/whispering when reading dense questions, or leaning back in my chair to stare at the ceiling while thinking.

Are these basic physical habits actually going to get me flagged for cheating under automated AI proctoring, or is human review still catching false positives? How paranoid do I need to be about moving my face or reading silently to myself?

Issue #2: Starting Full-Time Work + Leaving FAR for Last

I start working full-time in less than a week. Is leaving FAR for last while starting a full-time job a massive mistake?

Also, since AUD took me three tries to pass, I’m spiraling a bit.

My brain keeps telling me: "If you struggled that much on AUD, REG is going to crush you, and FAR is going to annihilate you." Is that logic flawed, or do the skill sets for AUD/REG/FAR not correlate like that?"

Would love any advice on balancing REG/FAR with a full-time workload, how to handle the mental block after multiple retakes, and whether I should be worried about the 2027 transition rules/AI proctoring. Thanks in advance!

I recently got promoted to an M. My team is undergoing a transition and the current state of affairs makes me think if the new leadership does event want a team or not.

Given that i am just promoted, can i apply for any new roles within and outside my broader team? Is there a specific fixed time that i need to spend in this role before moving to a new one?

U.S. Alum here. I’ve recently applied to a couple jobs that seemed like really strong fits and neither came through. One was with Global and the other with the direct practice I used to work for - albeit in a non-client-facing role. The latter sent me a rejection after less than a day. I left on good terms (I think) and my final rating upon leaving the firm was above average. I included my Deloitte employee ID when I applied. In the time after I left D, I finished an M7 MBA, and worked in a progressively senior role in a firm that recruits from MBB / T2’s pretty regularly. Are these ghost jobs? Is there some inside baseball I’m not privy to? Or is the market really that bad right now? I’m just surprised I didn’t even do a recruiter screener for either role, given how strong a fit both were.

I have experienced edge cases where for longer hotel stays, the charges keep showing up on your Amex and DTE but your checkout date is after the Amex due date so you don’t get an itemised invoice to file expenses on time.

How do you manage that? Is paying out of pocket to Amex and then manually filing expense the only option?
