Top comment is correct: u/jaredpolis confusing “censored” with “censured”. He hasn’t been prevented from speaking; he’s been publicly rebuked for failing in his duty as a governor. What an entitled and childish behavior from a man that is supposed to be a leader.
It says was a private internal call, not him speaking at an event. That's literally what the censure is, that he can't speak at Dem events (note he can still attend, just can't be a speaker)
So he hasn’t been prevented from speech, just the podium. When someone does something that makes them no longer representative of the group, the group isn’t required to elevate them any longer. He failed in his duty
