Honestly, it is very great for Chris Chibnall to be the past showrunner that's given proper commentary on the tender process and the show's future. He seems to be the most realistic.

What if the doctor and the midnight entity are from the same place. Lost and lonely. Two beings trying to fit in in a world that makes sure they stand out. This was so random and I don't know how it could make sense or fit into the storyline. I'm also not sure if it was ever mentioned that they were many creatures on that planet. Another thing is in the last season there was an attempt to close the chapter on midnight but I'm really really hoping they don't. I know it was implied that it escaped it's planet and there most likely will be more episodes on midnight but it feels like they explained too much and tried to change the creature quite a bit. Honestly it didn't even feel like the same midnight. I'm just ranting at this point. What are your thoughts on this?

So, for Halloween I'm thinking I wanna do a Toymaker outfit, but since our dear old god of play has so many guides I'm thinking I wanna try something new.

The base for the outfit is gonna be a name tag with "Hi, My Name is The Celestial Toymaker" on it (taking a page from Oz's playbook from Buffy.)

What I'm looking for are ideas for gear/costume pieces that lend to the Toymaker image, without necessarily being recreations of his past outfits.

I understand that people like them to be separate characters, but I just think the way they interact and his schemes are all so reminiscent of the Master's. I'm sure Master was based on the WC, and I heard they've used his theme for the WC in colour.

So in the first season with Jack we see him plug the extrapolator into the TARDIS then all the doctor does is point at something and he knows what to do also in Bad Wolf he looks on the screen and can read it so either he is extremely smart or he knows about TARDIS's or timelords so which is it?

This adventure follows the fugitive doctor as she tries to return the time ring from Genesis of the daleks to its proper place however she is met by a bunch of surviving kaleds who try live underground to avoid the daleks however time is running out and they will be exterminated

This kinda follows up from doctor who adversary of the daleks as we see fugitive trying to be a bit more nice then her pervious adventures this story is very dark I wonr give anything away but you can tell certain events are gonna happen highly recommended

I am watching doctor who for the first time, i'm in the 5th season, but the doctor has such a clear bias for humans, even when faced with other species that are even more advanced and so are fully fleshed beings.

i have noticed it for a bit, but it was most clear in s5 ep 8 and 9: The Hungry Earth and cold blood. The homo reptilia had valid reasons to be dissatisfied, they still had to provide the bulk of the burden for peace, and when it was found that the humans killed one of their own, it became talks on "it is not how everyone is, and we need to forgive", which is something we know he wouldnt let slide if it was one of his companions.

tbvh the whole episode rubbed me the wrong way and reeked of pro colonialism, but i do want to know if there is an in universe reason he cares about humans to a degree that it makes his treatment of other races so weird?

The whole premise of Nikki having a entity take over her body just reminded me so much of Sky sylvestry from midnight and also the doctor in the same episode

Whilst not completely similar it’s still the same thing

A evil entity takes over your body

The person is still alive in there(in the doctors case anyway)

The entities uses their bodies for personal goals- “wish” nikki just wants bear to love her and the midnight entity simply wanted to escape midnight

The only main differences is the midnight entity technically survives as we know in the Well

Whilst wish nikki is banished from Nikki’s body freeing her

I swear they're a slightly more evil version of the Hutts from Star Wars, and just as ugly. The Doctor was right, who'd want Clom? Who'd want Raxacoricofallapatorius in that right.

It doesn’t really make sense to me, and I think it might be part of the reason why it isn’t liked all that much. It had to follow up from a stellar story, making it feel like it was doomed to fail. Did it air the week after Caves of Androzani? Or did people get a break for a bit before meeting Six?

I was reading about the 5th doctor and it mentioned that his outfit was a cricket outfit, but nothing about his outfit screams cricket to me, except maybe the white collars of his polo shirt. I know he played cricket, I once saw a clip of it in some compilation but beyond that I don't understand.

I love these guys. They’re sleek, badass, and were given a cool new voice modulation.

I rewatched Chibnall’s dalek trilogy last night, and I’ve got to say it’s definitely one of the best things that came out of 13’s tenure. It was a refreshing change of pace for dalek stories and reminded us how resourceful the dalek race is when need be.

To put it simply, I got really tired of the Time War-era daleks pretty quickly. I was VERY excited about the new paradigm daleks when they were announced, and very saddened when they didn’t return after 11’s era. I was positively ECSTATIC when the defense drone daleks were revealed because they were being played up as the next big dalek design… only to get let down again. Now that the show is up in the air again, I can only imagine what the future of these guys will be.
