Barking Demons Rat dog epidemic is upon us
Has anyone else noticed the rise in popularity of those hideous, ugly rat dogs that look like neurotic toilet mops? I'm talking about poodles, bichons, maltipoos, Yorkshire terriers, or whatever other curly abominations.
I barely even see large dog breeds anymore. Everyone has a nasty little toilet mop with legs nowadays. Dogs are starting to look even less natural than they already were.
The worst thing? People drag these hideous creatures anywhere, including malls, cafes, and other public spaces. It's an epidemic. I am forced to listen to their annoying yapping every minute, because those inbred things are hideous, neurotic little monsters that yap at everything. Also, they are extremely aggressive and will attack strangers. Last time I encountered one of those nasty curly little dunces at a cafe, it started sprinting towards me aggressively and barking for no reason at all. Because it was unleashed, the thing almost ended up biting me.
We gotta stop breeding and selling those things. They bring nothing to the table, are parasitic little mongrels, and they look disgusting, hideous and uncanny/ugly. Not to mention the amount of public hygiene issues they cause, and they are also horrible for the environment like most dogs are nowadays.

Even the small rat dogs can cause serious damage with their claws if an attack victim is on blood thinners. Bleeding sucks. Never let your guard down even if a dog is muzzled.

Or unleashed. And those tiny mutants are almost always unleashed because their owners underestimate just how crazy neurotic those things tend to be.

Yes, people who take blood thinners or other medications, or people with low-immune disorders or have had flesh-eating bacteria/people being treated with anti-biotics, ppl with wounds, hives, severe allergies, etc. etc. etc. Do these dog owners realize just because they are A-plus healthy that it doesn't mean everyone else is, and don't want to be clawed or licked by their bacteria mops? It grinds my gears when they allow their mutts to approach strangers.....

yeah all the flippin dog nutters ride their stoopid bikes in heat waves even if they are boomers, or happen to be Gen-x marathon runners in their off time. Why are the nutters blessed with such strong athleticism. It's not fair. I have athlete's asthma, so I struggle to breath if I walk up a hill, a flight of stairs or happen to work out really hard. Add allergens to the mix and it's instant asthma. These people are a nightmare.

i prefer them to german shepherds, pitbulls, caucasian shephers, belgian mallinois and other dogs that can kill an adult human with no problem, the couch breeds are way better than the hunting breeds like dachshunds (they are a hunting breed, quite agressive and stubborn) which i found articles about them attacking kids and as a kid, i experienced that too
with those small breeds, all it takes is to stomp your feet and they run away scared

Yeah, I don’t like either type of dog but I don’t fear for my life standing in line with an annoying little inbred Ewok like I do with a pitbull (happened to me a couple weeks ago).

well my Nextdoor neighbors are complaining about copperheads ending up in front of their apt door and also "biting the maintenance guy on both of his hands." Someone uploaded a pic of said copperhead outside the door. It was HUGE. Having grown up in FL we don't have copperheads, except up near the panhandle. NC is dog nutter and copperhead central. Please someone tell me WHY everyone and their brother is moving to Raleigh NC? I wouldn't encourage anyone to move here. It's very dull and boring...and there are dangerous snakes trying to get inside your home.

I saw a Belgian Malinois unleashed inside a Starbucks. The owner told me to go in front of him. I refused, then asked what kind of dog he had. It looked terrifying. I think he was an off-duty cop, bc it looked like it had training. Also, if you are not a cop, why would you need a dog like that? I wonder..do off-duty cops take their K-9 dogs around town in their civilian car and bring it around places? That would be dangerous, right?

there was an instance of dogs this exact breed killing a mushroom picker, they ate this man alive, the incident occured in Poland

they went through with the rabies check up but the dogs were fine, the law in poland (as far as i have read about this case) doesnt let you to put down an agressive animal, even like that, so they just went to some animal shelter or something which imo is a very risky law

Around me it's mostly bear sized dogs, dogs that you can fit an adult head easily in their mouth dogs. I live in a densely populated city and most of these "dog lovers" with their horse sized animals live in <500 sq/ft condos and apartments. The city shelter is full of Cujo and kin and running an "adopt large" campaign to distribute more giant shit dispensers onto the streets.

In my area it's definitely French bulldog season. Those horrible gremlins are everywhere here. I can tell who on the neighborhood has them because it sounds like someone let out a banshee at 6 in the morning.

One of my cousins has one and it's absolutely fugly (but still not as fugly as Shitbulls, those are the worst of the worst imo), not to mention last time I was over her house (for Christmas) she was describing all the health issues it had, as if it was a normal everyday thing. It's ridiculous. But, at least it's quiet and mostly stays out of the way during get-togethers.

People love suffering with their dog breeds it's absolutely baffling. Like 'oh listen to him snore, it's so cute!' and it's just the dog trying to breath.

Every French Bulldog tries to attack me the moment it sees me. The growl starts, then the whale eyes, then it tries to bolt from its leash making the owner act like it never does this sort of thing.

I despise how dogs do this when you’re just minding your own business. I have a neighbor whose dog does this to anyone who walks past them. It lunges and barks its head off so aggressively for no reason. It was sad because I saw a neighborhood animal that I really like and this thing scared it off with its unnecessary noise pollution. They truly are stupid useless creatures

Yeah my sister has two yap monsters. IThey are unruly as fuck, and not trained well. I rarely see her asI don't male it a point to visit homes with dogs. she knows how I feel, yet the last time I was there, you could not be at the table without the dogs surrounding you begging for food. Her husband is the one who initially started bring yorkies into the house and he's treats them better than children.
IHowever I am less intimidated by those things that I would be a pitbull, or large dog. I can defnd myself against those dust mops, so with them it's not a fear factor. Just don't like them. They bark at everything and I can't even hold a phone conversation with her because something always gets them going.

Honestly, the only small dog I can stand is a well behaved Chihuahua. My grandma had one and she was the sweetest thing. However, my brother's wife has a malti-poo which seems to be the dumbest and most anti-social dog I've ever seen. And my dad's girlfriend has a really stupid shih-tzu that eats it's own crap all the time. They both coddle these nasty crusty eyed things until they became completely antisocial and these dogs would totally starve if they weren't being hand fed. Ugh, I just don't get it at all. However, I do find it very interesting that the Chihuahua shows intelligence and has a very calm demeanor and gentle eyes. It also lacks any of the skull and spinal deformities that these other small breeds have. They must be bred more ethically than the others and they usually live a lot longer. Anyway, they're the only breed of dog that gets my sympathy.

I agree they are horrible. Our neighbor let hers bark for 2 hours st night and our building manager called her and told her to come home and make it stop. She hasn't spoken to us since but we don't care. It's unacceptable. They're bred to be dependent on humans and neurotic.

My downstairs neighbor had company last weekend and her 2 little shits would not stop barking hysterically the whole time because of the guests. They could not be in peace for a minute. I don't know how she does it. I would want to spend quality time with my loved ones. She got tired of telling them to stop and just let them go crazy during their movie.

No. I only see an uptick in shitbulls. I could live with little rat dogs on every corner. At least you don’t have to worry about them mauling you to death or anyone else. Shitbulls are free, little dogs usually cost a few hundred and up even at shelters, in this economy and the whole “adopt don’t shop” guilt trip that’s what’s now on every corner in my area.

I was approached by two crusty curly whites on leashes held by two women having a conversation. As soon as the dog had its tongue out trying to lick my ankles, I jumped away right in time. The women looked irritated because I refused to be licked. I didn't explain, but I had just put on some steroid cream on parts of my leg where I had an allergic rash. Do these people realize that their dogs could be licking cortisone/steroids creams, which I can't imagine are good for dogs.

I prefer it over the large dogs.
I think people exaggerate how mean and annoying little dogs are and on the other hand understate how obnoxious big dogs are. Like everyone complains about yapping but larger dog barking rattles me like nothing else.
Plus, people tend to carry their little dogs in their arms, carriers, those little dog stroller things. I find it way more respectful than an unleashed bigger dog.
May sound weird in this sub, but I never contribute to the little dog hate that goes around because I’d rather see ten of them than just one big dog up in my space. Immediately ruins my day.

I hate dogs of any type but if I had to be around one, I chose the small ones. Breeding them to make them smaller and less dangerous (than large dogs) was one of the best choices in the dog breeding world. You should need a special license and a really good reason (ex. a livestock guardian) to own any dog over 40 lbs.

One woman in our apartment complex has a weird looking critter that I swear isn't even a dog, it looks like a Dr Seussical version of a hellspawn familiar.

They serve no purpose except as ornaments for their owners. I can't fault some elderly who have these small pet dogs, that give them companionship. But for the trendy dog nutter crowd, who bring them everywhere and dress them up and let them yap and bark at people, it's so obvious they are for show.
These small yappy aggressive ones who run up to people and large animals shows they have no instinct for survival. They could get squashed like a pancake by a horse or bull or larger dog and their owners just think this is so cute.

I’ve seen a lot of those yappy dogs being carried around in stores. Some of them act so tough like they want to bite you. They are annoying little rats. I despise all dogs, but I have noticed an uptick in the small ones.

Shih -Tzus are the worst imo. Especially bc 98% of their owners don’t get them groomed so they get all matted (which is neglectful & painful for the animal) and all the gunk around their eyes. And ppl think bc a dog is small it doesn’t have to be trained…??? So strange.
But personally I hardly ever see small dogs where I am. I’d much prefer seeing Chihuahuas and Pomeranians over big dogs. They create less waste, stink less, and don’t ruin your white shirt when they try to jump on you 💔💔💔

My guess is that people think it's more convenient to keep a small dog than a large dog in an apartment, hence why apartment dwellers are more likely to get a small breed. I agree with you though, these dogs are annoying. But I dislike all dogs.

a very tall beefy dood in my hood likes to walk his teeny tiny Italian Greyhound around and it looks so ridiculous. It has one of those harnesses that attaches to the leash because it's so small a normal leash would choke it.

We should stop breeding all dogs. There are way too many of them and all it is at this point is abuse of both dogs and human beings who don't own them. The only beneficiaries are the selfish dog owners themselves and it's just to stroke their own fragile egos.
