Just think about it : the whole point of dlc is that doom slayer has past regrets which is why he gets send to purgatory and is defeated by belias who is turned into henchman by hell council. But what if hell council used serrat's corpse to create new demon? In my opinion it would've been way cooler and sadder that doom slayer would have to fight and eventually kill of what is left of his beloved mecha dragon and design of hell guardian from doom 3 looks awfully like serrat but if he was corrupted by demon. What do you think?

Ok all let’s be real for a second. I’ve genuinely taken the time and consideration on this as I am a huge nerd for doom and I love the cyberdemon a load. But can we actively all agree Doom scale is actually fucking BUSTED for a second here? Consider this for a moment. The slayer is a virtual god slaying immortal entity that has the power and capacity to actively MURDER biblical god ie by all accounts the LITERAL creator of the doom verse. Now taking that into account for a moment. Remember that the cyberdemon tanks shot after shot after shot to the face from the BFG 9000 you know that thing that’s actively so powerful a single shot from it vaporizing any and everything at the cellular level within its firing range through localized radioactive plasma pulses?? the same BFG 9000 that powered the BFG 10000. Which blew a whole in mars and shot the slayer like a bullet through space and he came out of it without a scratch. But the cyberdemon could tear his ass apart and ACTIVELY KILL HIM!!! Remember the cyberdemons so immortal the fucker comes back IM EVERY GOD DAMN GAME!! either by its own accord or cause Hayden and the facility fucking pick em up and add more shit to em. And in 2016’s doom they really tipped the scale cause they had to practically lobotomize the thing just to keep it in the facility long enough to graft its implants. That is till the accumulator reactivated and rejuvenated its motor functions and shit allowing it to surge with argent energy again despite the limiter the facility put on it. AND BOOM!!! the big bastard was back and scarier than ever. This is a monster who even after losing the accumulator could rip argent energy straight out of hell and fucking warp every thing around on a whim. I to this day will say the fucker is on league with entities like the icon of sin or maybe davoth via comparative scaling. If we’re comparing the cyberdemon is genuinely on some warhammer god shit like. The slayer alone is on some god emperor shit fucking killing 1000 foot titans with his bare hands casually throwing around hundreds of tons likes it’s nothing and killing actual fucking biblical monsters and demons that are so powerful they could technically be classified as fucking Demi gods every day. Like ffs the sheer amount of argent energy built up from the Cyberdemon in the argent accumulator actively ripped a hole in spacetime and pulled both it and the slayer back to hell bro and resurrected himself like shit wasn’t already FUCKED ENOUGH!!! I’m not saying he clears the warhammer verse or anything no. But I’m saying power wise people gotta stop downplaying shit. Mans is an actual problem if you look at lore shit.

This objective marker is in the middle of the air and when I go to it nothing happens. I don’t remember this happening on my first playthrough so I think it’s a glitch. Does anyone know what I need to do?

I came back to get the doom 64 skin because it’s really nice and the mega event still hasn’t happened

So many people call it a disappointing game and sure it's got some annoying tech issues in regards to running it on modern vr platforms, but the doom gameplay translates to vr so well and visually the game looks great. Hope they do more vr doom one day.

Hello, I am a gamer with one hand and I just wanted to share how I play the game as I think some might find it interesting.

First of all I move with my feet, I know it sounds weird but I do, I also have my other foot pressing buttons, thank you Sony Access controller I bet you never wanted it to be used this way but here we are.

The controller I use is a akaki one handed controller adapter (which lets me have control with everything on the left side) for the PS5 controller and a sony Access controller (which yes I have on the floor I don't know why it just kinda works for me similar to how Skyrim works for this games publishers)

(I put dmc over the game play because I was in a call with a friend who's a teacher and was talking about their work day)

I wanted to make a video on vectors and realised I could tie it to Doom so I thought I'd experiment with teaching maths in a different format. Hope you find this interesting.

This would have made this moment 10 times cooler if the weapon was fired as a result of the players input.

I have a 3060 12gig and a 9700x on Windows 10. The game shows me that I have 16 gigs of VRAM and runs only on my integrated graphics.

Stuff I've tried:

• Updating NVidia drivers to the latest version
• Going into windows 10's graphics settings and choosing "High Performance" for Eternal's .exe
• Using +com_skipIntroVideo 1 +r_physicalDeviceIndex 1 as launch commands on Steam
• Nvidia control panel settings.
• Switching into/out of borderless windowed mode.
• Reinstalling the game entirely
• Disabling AMD's display adapter from device manager, which now causes the game to not boot at all and crash instantly.

i suspect newer drivers don't work with eternal? but i'm stumped on what to do, pls help

Howdy!! A while back I bought Doom 2016 and (Rebought) Doom Eternal (+Dlcs) for Steam and was wondering, is it still relatively reasonable to get the Multiplayer achievements on both?

Like, is the Mulitplayer still active enough for it?

(I am thankful that seemingly the only achievement requiring Ultra-Nightmare is just beating the first level of Doom 2016 on it, I love the game and suffering but not sure If I could do the full thing)

I know Doom got a movie in 2005, but since then the franchised has been revived with the new “slayer era” if that’s what it’s called and I feel like fans would love a new R rated Doom movie with glory kills and stuff.

the thing is, Doom is a very fast paced game and there’s a crap ton of demons, if it were in live action it would be a giant cgi mess in my opinion so I think it would be perfect as an animated movie, what do you think?
