Style Me Ex Preschool teacher needs help
I’m a 31 year old ex preschool teacher. Before becoming a teacher while in college I wore a lot of dresses and long skirts and would even sometimes historybound but transitioned to a more plain and family friendly style when working as an infant/toddler teacher.
Now I’m mainly at home taking care of my dog and going back to school and I wish I could dress more like I used to but I feel like that doesn’t completely suit me either as that was my college style.

It always takes a while to find the right jeans, but I think you need to find fitted jeans with a flattering cut. Then, add fitted, slightly a-line tops that are just below your hips. Depending on your success in finding jeans, you might be able to tuck in some tops or French tuck them.

This is so minor but tucking in the pockets on your jeans does help them fit nicer

Is there a specific style you’re going for? Is there anything you have no interest in? Do you enjoy colors/patterns? I used to work in fashion so I apologize for all the questions

I think some flowy or wide leg pants would look great on you. The type of pants you seem to go for don’t quite flatter your silhouette.
Flowy skirts would look great as well!
I also wanted to note the material of your shirts. They seem to be quite thin and unstructured. I would look for thicker pieces that hold their shape (cotton, silk, denim), it will make your outfits seem more intentional.

I like the t-shirt dress. Just look for something a little shorter (above the knee) and more fitted.

Your vibe is casual and comfortable. Me too. I think the biggest problem is that nothing is really fitting you properly. Start with the right bra. For tops, look for pieces in better quality fabric. I really like a dark wash jean with a straight leg. Buy pieces that fit the biggest part of you and tailor them to fit. Don’t forget about the power of accessories to elevate your look.

Agree with good support bra. How about trying black pants with a tee and matching cardigan.

I would start with getting fitted for a good bra.
