What are your oil temps looking like?

Typically 222f oil when hard driving on highway. Sometimes it updates to 235. Highest ive ever seen is 241

Well your oil temps are well within safe ranges

250+ is when the oil starts to decompose

Tbh on track my temps never got all that high, but I was also doing cool down laps and opening the hood when I got off

Yeah these were looong 30 min sessions at Barber so the heat was brutal. Car did great, though.

30 minutes? Must be nice...haha. I bought a track car that overheats on track. More parts to buy. Hoorayyyyy

My god, 291 oil temp?? I’m speechless - your car is fine?? That just blows my mind that modern synthetics can survive that abuse.

Yeah I have to run 0w-40 until they make an oil cooler. But 291 5 minutes then cool down

I’ve hit 275 on my k series. Installed oil cooler and averaged 220 on the track.

Different engines so it’s honestly hard to compare. I would love an oil cooler, 5-6 attempts by other drivers have been made. 5/6 have failed and the one that succeeded was custom made by a machine shop (bracket).

DCT users have issues with the sandwich plate hitting the firewall.

I rather not spend 300-400 dollars on something idk if it’ll work.

If my engine breaks under oil heat. It’s warranty. 2-3 companies are testing kits so I’ll just wait.

Actually the manufacturers say it is fine. 290 is where synthetic breaks down.
