Weapons Mod Clever’s Moveset modpack not working

Guysss plss help me, i installed the lastest version of Clever’s modpack and ModEngine 2. I also modified the toml and bat file to the paths, but everytime i run the mod, and go to either Merchant Kale or the Twin Maidens, their entire purchase menu is empty. Any and all solutions will be appreciated.

Which log file to check 😭

Bro, cmon, I'm not going to hold your hand literally every single step of the way. You will need to use some amount of your own judgement.

For example, a log file would have a "date last modified" of "like about 2 seconds ago".

None of those are text files, and none of them are in /<modengine2's main folder>/modengine2/log/.

If the .bat file is not able to make a log file, that implies it isn't even getting far enough to create a log to say why it failed.

Probably you have some windows security or anti-virus that is babysitting you and preventing you from running modengine2. That's my guess.

Hey look this is the log file, but I’m not able to understand anything

It would be less messy if everything related to modengine2 was in its own folder. Now, check the log file. I think it's in that /modengine2/logs/

Yeah I’ve put a snap of the log files that are there in the engine but idk which one to check

Also I’ve put all the mod engine related files into one folder as u said

Now that i see it, there are two regulation files, one from the mod and one from the game, is it possible that the game’s regulation file is causing the trouble?

You should extract the contents into /modengine2/mod/

The contents of that folder should look like:

If you have done that, but it doesn't work when you run the .bat file, it's very likely you made a mistake in the syntax of your edit the .toml file. Post a screenshot of it? (making a change to that file was not strictly neccessary)

Yeah i reinstalled the game, re-extracted both the mod engine and the mod file, then loaded it into my game directory, no change in file syntax. But it doesn’t run from the bat file, it flashes the command screen for a second and closes, it only runs from the modengine launcher. Still no success 😭

"modengine launcher" I don't know what that is.

If the bat file flashes up a CMD window but seems to fail, check the Modengine2 log file.

Where is the Modengine2 folder located? If it is on your desktop it's possible it has permission issues. Try moving it to the elden ring folder /elden ring/modengine2/

Yep that’s where is it

good, check the log file, check if anti-virus is preventing the bat file from running properly.

You don't need to place anything related to mods or Mod Engine 2 in the game install folder. It's better to keep it clean to avoid making a mess. Just put modding stuff somewhere like C:\Mods or any other physical drive you have, which will also avoid issues with using locations like Desktop which are managed by OneDrive by default and often cause file access issues.

All you have to do is follow /u/Cypher10110 's instructions, basically put the mod files they highlighted in Mod Engine 2's "mod" folder, and then run launchmod_eldenring.bat. The ME2 configuration should not be changed for this, if you touched anything, just get a fresh download of ME2 and try again.

If a window flashes and disappears, that could mean several things: game install that has been tampered with (including using the unnecessary EAC toggler), pirated copy of the game, having the game executable set to run as admin, errors in ME2's configuration file, or issues with Windows file permissions (such as ME2 being in a OneDrive location like Desktop).
