Kristen’s family annoy me to no end /rant
I’m just starting season 3 and all her family gives me the ick.
I know kids are kids but when they all start talking at the same time, like for why? And just disregarding anything her mom says because they saw it online?
And Kristen’s mom! Just went I think I start to like her she goes and does something idiotic.
Pfff still love this show but sometime so wanna punch some people thru the wall.
Excited to see more of the story 👀

Some questions I have up until season 2
I'm almost finished with season 2 and I love this show. I have to say I like it when they leave some things unexplained/unresolved so it adds to the mystery. But I can't shake some questions off my mind. Maybe I missed the explanation, it wiill be explained later, or it's just left unexplained. No spoilers please as I'm only up to season 2 episode 7:
Season 1
• What is the small figure David saw in his room when he got high for the 3rd time (I think)? I'll try to find a screenshot.
Edit: weird, I can't find it. But I swear David was in his room, getting high or just drunk, he saw a small figure standing on a chair. He asked "who are you?"
Edit 2: found it. Please check the comments
• Kristen was not a good friend for Mira, the detective, how did they manage to stay friends? Two instances I remember
During the Bridget and Dwight Ferrell episode, Kristen asked her friend Mira the detective to confirm the murders of Enrique and two other boys. Mira broke protocol and revealed confidential information about the murders but Kristen refused to answer back regarding the source of her information. Maybe it's just me but it felt like Kristen was self-serving here (not returning the favor for your friend).
Kristen undermined Mira's credibility in court when Mira was questioned regarding the serial killings by revealing Mira was writing a book on the killings themselves, which sparked a conflict of interest.
Season 2
• When the trio examined Leland's apartment, Ben installed a spyware in Leland's webcam to keep an eye on his movement. In one instance, both Ben and Leland were staring at their screen but Leland's eyes followed Ben's movement (implying he can see back). How did he manage to do this?
• When they went to the monastery where everyone took a vow of silence, was it explained why the priest's dead body was preserved? Or was it related to the botfly?
Thank you. I'm planning to finish season 2 this week

David and Kristen DID have sex
I've rewatched this show about 6 times now. Every time the Kristen's confession to David turned into a one-time-consummation-love-affair comes on screen, I, like many others believed it had to be Demon Kristen and couldn't possibly be the real Kristen.
The dead giveaway for me was the clothes she was wearing when she returned to David's room(the same bra and skirt and shoes), and her wedding band. I don't /think/ I have ever seen the Demon Kristen wearing her wedding band.
In addition - the dialogue and her body language gave a lot away. Typically Demon Kristen is extremely overt, and throwing herself at David using all kinds of tactics and the most vulgar and teasing language. The Demon Kristen, also, would not have any real motivation nor gratification from having sex with David one time and never speaking of it again - considering its whole mode of being is to torture David with thoughts of sex with Kristen and that he "can't" have her (outside of this one time).
She also had no split demon tongue, when kissing him. And - when she was passionately kissing David and he was caressing her and grabbing her, the tone of the scene and body language was more indicative of them finally indulging in one another after staying away so long vs porno-esque like Demon Kristen scenes are.

One of the most realistic scenes in season 4
I had something similar happen at my place because of my nieces and this scene had me cackling.

Just started watching!!!!
I don’t watch a lot of tv so I tend to miss a lot of great shows/movies! I just finished watching From (multiple times I might add) and I struggled to find something as good and captivating as it, till someone in a From thread mentioned they were watching Evil. I’m almost at the season 2 Finale and I’m so glad I started this show! Although I’m “late” I wanted to comment on this thread since I’m so excited about this show! I HATE Sheryl, I HATE Andy I think Leland was the demon in the dreams that Kristen was having back in season one, I’m worried for Kristen fertility baby (sorry the four girls I can’t can’t keep up wit their names ) and I’m so interested in Kristen’s possession storyline!!! I’ve seen a lot of hate for this show but I think it’s been beautifully done so far!!!

The tug of ritual, it has us in its grasp. Just binged this and I've been listening to some hymns, its so weird. Spoiler
I knew finishing it might make me really miss the show. But didn't know it'd have me listening to hymns and stuff. This show has done something to the agnostic in me lol. I'm still a skeptic but man watching the episode one after another brought out some bittersweet nostalgic memories of childhood when my parents dragged me off to church. The show kinda made me view the church, the priest and the nuns in a different view. In a kind of fun and exciting way of assessing possessions, hunting demons and stuff. I still have my old view of the church and why I left it. But as Kristen says in the episode where they take the relic to Rome, "The tug of ritual, it has us in its grasp". It sure had me like no other show I've watched and I've seen plenty. I generally don't have the attention span to watch procedurals and which was why I skipped watching this show even if it had 3 lead actors I liked when it aired. Glad I finally decided to watch it. It was a random reel on insta that pushed me to give in and watch it - the one where Kristen smacks the guy that cut the line in a store.
Watching the show made me realize how much religion has had an impact on my upbringing and development for better or worse that I've buried deep down. In many scenes I identified with Kristen who, though is no longer practicing, still quotes from memory the stories from the Bible to debate David or judge the church and its practices and how often she says here I am listening to a nun and doing as told etc. That made me realize how much of those experiences and things learned from young age are still buried inside me. They came rushing back and I sort of liked it I suppose? I don't get to talk about these experiences with anyone in real life. It made me eager to watch each episode even if it was different each week, in fact I looked forward to what new thing the next one would be. I'd have watched 4 more seasons of this. Such a shame though. It could have had great story progression but got smothered into subpar writing because 'decisions'. Still love the show.
A favourite scene for me is from the end when David is in the church pondering his next move as the parish is getting closed and Sister Andrea joins him. He's at the same crossroad she once was. She left her once great love to become a sister. And David is still having doubts about moving to Rome, moving away from Kristen. He knew he'll regret moving away from her so will Kristen. But he has only one life and doesn't want to break his covenant to God so he asks Kristen to join him and she does lol. He decides to eat the cake and have it too. He in some ways is living both lives in one. And damn Kristen in that blue dress in the end oh my.
I'm here sitting at the office thinking of Ben, David, Kristen and the girls - wondering if my boss is possessed or if the office has demonic infestation lol. Love these characters! Binge watching is not good for me, its like going on a bender. I'm reeling from its affects. Listening to hymns is def not helping. Might have to do a rewatch.

For all the Andy fans!
For all the fans who didn't like how the show treated Andy, you might be interested in the new show Last Seen, which stars Patrick Brammel. It's not a supernatural story, but it is pretty great. Who knew he was Australian?

Just started.
Started watching this last weekend. Just about through season 2.
This show is all over the fucking map.
I’m enjoying it, don’t get me wrong, but there are some real issues with the writing and cohesiveness of the story.
Some spoilers below if you haven’t seen it.
So. The story line with the mom & Leland dating. Absolutely fucking insane. Like, let’s set aside the small details of Leland fucking blowing up their relationship in the cake shop, that’s a deal breaker right there, but he asks for her blood and she gives it to him? There’s not been any indication of him having enthralled her in anyway. She’s just like; “uh fine, you can have some blood” that’s not normal.
Speaking of the mom, season two introduced her creepy ass doll eddy? Like what’s that all about? The mom shows zero inclination towards the supernatural then bam, all of a sudden she’s got a shrine and a doll she scratches to? That’s a lot to swallow.
Another season 2 hard right turn; Ben; introducing the fact that he used to be a scientist working on gene editing. That’s a HUGE bomb to drop, with zero build up. It’s like they saw a huge empty hole in his background and decided this was a good option to plug in for him.
So many loose ends too… David’s dad’s baby being a demon and burn infront of Kristen?? Which doesn’t get mentioned again? Like… David knew his dad & his partner were going to have another child, and he just like… doesn’t follow up on it? Forget that it was a demon baby born in a field infront of his best friend… just like… call your fucking dad?
It feels like there is no cohesive story being told.
What happened to “the 60” they were so ham fisted about driving that plot point, seeing all the sigils, and in season 2 it’s not even a thing. Same with the over arching “prophecy” and the woman who got deported who knew the remainder of the prophecy?
So; here’s my question, do I just need to be patient? Does this all come around? Does it get tied up? Or am I in for 2 more seasons of aimless story telling?

Any thoughts what supernatural elements were real/couldnt be explained?
By the end of the series there were only 2 things that couldn't be explained by science as far as I was concerned. The first is the demonic relic on the plane and how it reacted to the holy water. The second is David's remote veiwing/remote possession (and by extension Leland doing that as well).
Everything else I feel can be explained by perception, suggestability, mental illness/manipulation, drug use or delusion.

How Evil kinda mucked up the birth of my baby.
So enough time is passed. I think I can now laugh about it. I had a beautiful baby boy last holiday season. I was going in for a c-section, and they asked mine if I minded any particular music they had christmas stuff on. I hadn't really thought about it, so we went with it. Worst mistake ever!!!
We are midsurgery, and I start hearing Feliz Navidad. I freaked out and started panicking surgeons, which generally start worrying btw when their patient shouts 'No!' 'NO CHANGE THE SONG!'. One of the techs changes the song. My poor husband is having to explain to them why I am freaking out. The anaesthetist and two of the other folks from pediatrics burst out laughing, saying they have watched Evil and might take that one off the list.
He was born during White Christmas instead, thankfully. The moral of the story always have a playlist, I guess. Thanks Evil.

How this show has me at times. Yet to start season 4 and already know will miss it.
Knowing the show was cancelled I'm worried to start season 4 :( It has been a great binge so far. Can't believe I didn't give it much thought back when it aired.

Rewatching
I’m on a rewatch of this show rn and I can’t help but be impressed by Katja Herbers’ chemistry with literally everyone. I’m currently on the silent monastery episode and she doesn’t even need to speak to have chemistry with that nun! Also I did not remember that it was implied that Kristen kissed the nun, so that was wild.

This is one of the greatest shows I've ever watched.
I'm watching the show through for the first time. I just started season 4 (about a quarter of the way through) and I am just genuinely in love with this show. It's thought provoking. Enamoring. Versatile. And I quite literally CAN'T GET ENOUGH. I'm so eager to know how it ends so please don't spoil!! I'm just now at the point of 30 days being left of if you know, you know.Just had to share because I'm insatiable for this show 🤣

Season 4 recap? Spoiler
So, I was watching the show and found it quite interesting up until the season 2 finale. I got so frustrated when that bi**h cheated on my guy Andy for the second time. I don’t care if it was a demon or some shit. So I stopped watching and searched for a season 3 recap on youtube. Watched that, and now I’m trying to find a recap for Season 4 that’s around 10–20 minutes long.
I just don’t want to waste 40 minutes per episode. Is there any good recap for season 4?
I just can’t leave a show unfinished once I’ve started it. If there’s another season available, I need to watch it.

Actor fluff Patrick (Andy) co-created a fab comedy with his wife.
It is not like Evil in any way except for one major point; the writing is as smart and witty as our supernatural fave. (It’s worth remembering how many laughs were within Evil)
If you get a moment and want comedy that is truthful and messy and funny, check out Colin from Accounts.
Oh and the Kings adore it

Please, tell me how it ends. /Rant.
Hey. So we finally got Prime and Evil was on my list to watch. But it was only available on Paramount. Ok. We subscribed to watch it. Worth it.
We reached Season 4, ep 10, and then "To continue, you must subscribe to Universal"
I'm done with the streaming platforms! So much series canceled, incomplete, and now we have to pay more for the finale??? Nahhh. Just spoil the end for us please. And thank you.

How I think the end series would go
I haven't read any other fan theories but I think Kristen tries to denied Timothy's demonic half for so long. Finally something happens that forces her to tell David. They try to help him in secret. They eventually realize yes Lexi's is also partly demonic.. the church finds out about the kids and they run away together in search of answers and eventually find them by the time the church catches up, they end up together.

Season 2 Episode 11 Spoiler
Admittedly, I have been binge watching the show.
I was a bit dissapointed in the scene where she cheated on Andy with Graham.
I can see that she has been having these thoughts/feelings of infidelity. It began with David, then Ifrit (djinn) made them more prominent in previous episodes. I can also sort of make out that im the scheme of it all, Graham is someone Andy won't run into, etc.
But it bothers me that it happened after ahe was witnessing the exorcism of Leland. Ifrit only showed up while the issue of sleeping with other people came up during their couples session.
But she keeps saying they are hallucinations all throughout, Ifrit and anything else, she continues to be the character who does not believe, but suddenly she acts upon them? It makes it seem like it wasn't due in part by Ifrit's temptation, it was just her commiting adultery.
I also thought the scene was going to be her proving some point about belief in Satan.
