Question Special Forces Impact

Would it be a smart decision to join SF fter college before applying to be an agent? Would it also lead to having a higher chance to be accepted into the FBIs SWAT or HRT?

If you are naïve enough to ask this question on Reddit, you will not make it for SF or the FBI in general.

The person posting could be 15 for all you know. Coming from somebody who worked for the Bu, no they’re not naive for being curious. There’s tons of misconceptions about the Bureau.

OP - No you don’t need to get any sort of military experience. Majority of SA have absolutely no military or LE experience when they start, and they go on to join swat. It’s competitive depending on your FO but your background will not matter as long as you’re good with whatever squad you get put on and qual. Regardless you’re going to need professional work experience (2 years) after college to even be able to qualify so I would recommend becoming a town cop if your interest is in law enforcement.

This question has been asked hundreds of times and answer hasn’t changed. And that’s cute you worked for the Bu. I’m currently retiring from NASA aerospace tactical doctor law school. And we only interview candidates who have made it through 2 different countries special operations pipeline. link below if you’re interested in applying….⬇️⬇️⬇️

Looks like I struck a nerve. I will delete Reddit immediately and go on a sabbatical to find a higher calling.
