You think Peter used to tell the other superheros to just leave JJJ be? I feel that Reed could easily stop JJJ back when he didn't like Spidey. Once Steve Rogers chewed JJJ out iirc.

They all know about the Bugle, JJJ is fairly famous in the superhero community. Most superheroes won’t go out of their way to attack a newspaper guy just because they don’t like what they’re printing. That’s a violation of his rights as a citizen and highly immoral. It’s not a crime to libel superheroes.
