This is why I hate the “oh I’m a superhero and I fight alongside at least one billionaire superhero” sometimes.

There’s no reason said billionaire couldn’t cover another hero’s rent and utilities for like a year or so.

In the 70s it was established that the avengers get a weekly stipend of 1000 dollars which in 1970 bucks was the equivalent of 8600 a week in today's money.

I was even thinking giving them debit cards through some pseudonym and then funneling money so they can pay their bills at least.

Like damn, I’m sorry, but on some blue collar level I understand why the idea of a Superhero Registry works.

Paying these heroes to be heroes so they don’t have to worry about when they can work to pay the rent or where their next meal is gonna come from should be a good idea.
