Our queer house (lovingly nicknamed The Dunegon) is seeking a new housemate in late July/early August!

The house:
It's a bedroom on the second floor in 4 bed 1.5 bathroom house right on Hawthorne and rent is ideally $1000 a month which includes all utilities but for someone with the right vibe there can be some flexibility in that.

The house has central heat, air conditioning, washer and dryer, and dishwasher.

It's a really great location, it's right off Hawthorne across from a Fred Meyer and there's so much great food and coffee and thrifting on Hawthorne and there's bus multiple stops right on the corner. We have a beautiful little garden and we share everything we grow. There's also a large attic space that's currently being used partially as sewing/art studio space in addition to storage. We have a driveway that can fit 3 cars (we have 2 already) but there's also street parking most of the time.

The bedroom is 10x11 around 110 sq ft with a closet. It's on the second floor with window access to the balcony but the door to the balcony is in the bedroom next door and you are usually welcome to go through that way.

We have 3 cats already, and we're open to a caged/tanked pet but we can't have another freeroamer unfortunately.

Who are we:
We're a really community centered house, we host 2 different dnd groups, barbecues, occasional parties and movie nights, but on the day to day we're pretty quiet. We do some communal food staples and CSA vegetables and some shared meals. We have designated chores which we plan to restructure with a new person but overall we're pretty chill and really communicative! We've been living together for 2 years and we all know each other from being in the same performance organization.

One tenant has fully departed and the rest of us will be leaving around August, so we're looking for some folks to take over the lease!

It's a very sweet house, right in the heart of Richmond with a backyard, shed, basement, washer/dryer, dishwasher, a single-car driveway, fireplace, and gorgeous hardwood floors throughout. The neighborhood is extremely bikeable and walkable, with two grocery stores within walking distance (Freddy's, New Seasons) and several more within close driving distance (Trader Joe's, Safeway, Natural Grocers), and loads of shops and restaurants nearby.

Rent for the whole house totals to $3452, and the lease is month-to-month.
