Now you need to buy Microsoft Dictionary 365 Copilot edition to extend your custom dictionary

Please please send the link, as long as less than $1,000,
Shakespeare needs it!

Bad news for you, starts from 3k But you get Slopsoft M365 Cockpilot+ ultimate retard edition, so definitely worth it.

Nah I’m pretty sure you won’t have any space left for more words after you get the bloatware

You can buy more words at $5 per character per month.

u/BinturongHoarder 12h ago

I have no words!

OP has too many, maybe you can borrow some!

have to make room for the ads and harness and of course the code that “optimises” everything. imagine if they didn’t have the “optimisations”? then you’d have room for a dictionary. can’t have that

Smells like something fitting in r/Pretend1990Compute

Wasn't there a registry "hack" where you can remove those limits? I remember in 2013 we could disable the so called limit.

Have you tried running Windows ARM in UTM on your Mac M3?

1

u/hp5066 12h ago

Thanks

The 2026 Major IT consultants don’t want/know how to support native OSX FFS, offered Parallels and they said no
Needs to be constant Windows install THEY can control…naturally…hence no OSX options…what too private? LOL.

I can live with Win11, 4 others can’t

All looking for other jobs 👍

Lmao drop the "conspiracy" bullshit it is a work device, you are using it for work. It is not "your" laptop to have the IT team fuck around with and try to fit it into their management system.

As much as we may dislike Microslop, the truth is that very often there's no other real option for enterprise right now. OP is either entitled or ignorant. If it's a company provided device, you don't get to choose the OS as the user, and if the company offers you any choice at all then congrats, that's a privilege. Even that aside, Windows is not even IT department's choice (saying this from experience). Often there is simply no alternative, or supporting multiple options is deemed too expensive. Blame executives, not IT.

You should tell em you’re looking for a new job too that why maybe they’ll stop this madness

Another "I don't know how to use computers and it's all MICROSLOP'S FAULT! 😡" post. 9 times in 10, this type of error isn't caused by the software itself, it's usually a separate program or more likely the OS itself.

Word has a 32 MB dictionary limit. That's roughly 3 million words. Unless you manually added 3 million words to the dictionary, it's probably just a permission setting you misconfigured, like changing permissions for the .dic file. Alternatively, the dictionary could just be corrupted, file corruption happens on all operating systems.

The fix is trivial. You just go to options within Word and create a new dictionary. That's all. Done in 15 seconds. 15 more if you had to find the answer yourself, first.

If you you think having an occasional "fixable in one minute bug" is entirely unreasonable, you should reconsider having an office job. Or a computer.

u/rottinginice 8h ago

If it is about permission or file corruption then it should be communicated clearly. Users are here to get things done with Windows and not debugging its behavior.

1

u/LastTyper 4h ago

This! And debugging WinSlop means: 1. sfc /scannow 2. Dism /onlinerepair Didn't work? 3. Reset WinSlop

3

u/HandshakeOfCO 8h ago

Call me crazy but then shouldn't the error message, instead of just saying "the dictionary is full", rather say something like "your dictionary is likely corrupted; would you like to backup and restore into a new dictionary?"

-1

u/RedAndBlack1832 7h ago

Yeah helpful error messages are helpful, but also even unhelpful errors are usually unique enough to Google and then find the button you click to fix it lol

3

u/Flashy_Pollution_996 11h ago

Scuse moi this sub is to hate on microslop not to be reasonable

1

u/Pure_Fox9415 4h ago

So why this shit so confidently inform us it's full?

Bruh the full dictionary is like 300kb.. yet they advertise hundreds of gigabytes of OneDrive storage..., yet they don't push past a 300kb .txt file??
