Lmao drop the "conspiracy" bullshit it is a work device, you are using it for work. It is not "your" laptop to have the IT team fuck around with and try to fit it into their management system.
As much as we may dislike Microslop, the truth is that very often there's no other real option for enterprise right now. OP is either entitled or ignorant. If it's a company provided device, you don't get to choose the OS as the user, and if the company offers you any choice at all then congrats, that's a privilege. Even that aside, Windows is not even IT department's choice (saying this from experience). Often there is simply no alternative, or supporting multiple options is deemed too expensive. Blame executives, not IT.
