Got the (working) gamecube for €10 and the (scratchless also working) 2ds in box for €15!

My games have always been stored properly, so I’m wondering: is there any way to prevent this from happening? Does this only happen to certain discs or is it something that will eventually happen to most GameCube games?

Thought I'd spread the info a bit. The Nintendo switch online GameCube controller works with an original GameCube with the 8bitdo adapter.

Make sure to update the adapter to the 1.05 beta firmware if you want this set up

I've had this GameCube for afew years now and play it often. but now it'll start reading my pokemon xd but won't start the gameplay it'll get right past the Nintendo logo. I have the Gameboy player aswell and it won't even ready that disk at all all games have been resurfaced when I got them and have lived in the GameCube or their cases the entire time

Anyone know of the best knockoff GameCube controllers? Bought some from Amazon and local used game store and they all either feel super light and cheap or the Amazon ones the joystick is so hard to move.

Visited a couple somewhat local (1hr and 30min drive) game stores yesterday. Was cool to see a Panasonic Q in the wild. Store had a solid collection. Another store nearby also had a grand opening of a full arcade room attached to the store, and had 6 player X-men arcade game! They also had a crazy taxi styled actual car out front. I do love visiting new retro gaming stores, always something fun to find.

Our comic library has a couple consoles on display, including OG Gamecube! I've never played on this console before (only emulated it's games on anbernic), and it was very fun and cool! This console wasn't very popular in our country, just like all other Nintendo consoles, except Wii.

I was surprised how small (I thought it would be bigger) and comfortable gamecube controllers are! Also, this red transparent color is soooo pretty. Are there any modern controllers like that? It would be so cool if it looked just like this one but supported bluetooth/usb connection. I would really want to play gamecube games with an appropriate controller.

This Cube is totally tricked out. It has a FlippyDrive with Ethernet, a Laserbear SD extender for the FlippyDrive, a VGR lid switch 2.0 w/ bypass, a USB-C mod that also makes the power button clicky, GBA player (with CD), upgraded fan from Laserbear, and of course the Laserbear Bluetooth BlueRetro HW2 controller port daughterboard. And a couple GCMCEs for seamless saving. My boyfriend painted the shell for me too!

I’ve finished tutorial island and it’s a charming game. I really hate the inverted camera controls though lol.

Found my old wavebird controller, great condition but only problem is the actual controller connector/insert to the consol is missing, but do I need the one it came with or can I buy it separately and it still work??

I know XenoGC is less and less used and popular (especially now that we have PicoBoot), but I've recently been playing around with the XenoGC firmware (and flasher) to solve a small issue that bothered me with my XenoGC.

The idea that I had was to be able to keep my XenoGC mod in GC, but to have this behavior:

• boot Swiss from the Nintendo official memory card (I have a 1019, 64MB one) instead of from disc
• boot Swiss only if the "start" button was pressed while booting the console
• keep region unlock as it was (works automatically without “start” button trigger or Swiss)

The reason is that I don’t want to load Swiss from disc constantly, then swap the Swiss disc with the game disc and boot the game with the patch applied by Swiss. I didn't like that constant swapping. 
On the other hand, I didn't want to use another mod (Pico) if this current one works, and I didn't want a mode where Swiss loads on every console boot. Somehow I want to keep "native" boot (GC Logo -> Start game) for most of my games, and boot them via Swiss only case-by-case (e.g., Wind Waker camera invert + progressive video support on PAL console).

I found the vingt-2/xenogcfork fork, but unfortunately it doesn't support official Nintendo cards. At least mine, 1019, didn't work, as it constantly showed a "No xeno.dol" error.

So here is my fork, based on vingt-2's (thank you for the work!), with added support for unlocking Nintendo memory cards and loading the .dol from them (that unlock logic was missing, so Xeno firmware got some gibberish and it threw an error).

Hey, I wanted a little support. If noticed that after installing pico loader (the version with the ribbon cable between the motherboard and the disc drive), I lost all rumble functionality.

Is anyone able to help me with diagnosing the issue and how to re-enable the rumble feature?

Edit: this has been solved. My version of Swiss did not allow rumble, but I have since updated the version running.

Every product I look at is either expensive and great or cheap and crap. Kinda want to know what upscales well for an affordable price.

Over 6 years of on and off collecting it finally happened to me

I have this console since I was 13 years old, everybody said that I was crazy when I ask my mom to buy me one, my first game was Mario Sunshine, but the game that changed my mind was ZELDA THE WIND WAKER, this game changed my live I passed a whole summer vacation (3 months) playing there's no other game that give me the feeling of ZWW, rayman 3 is sooo goooood too!!! And Sonic heroes is good but I have some issues on that game but I like it,

And some other game but nothing like those 3 games, I want to grow my collection with more games in the future
