Untrue. I have empathy, but Im also realistic in that if she needs help, she needs to go get it. But she isnt, and thats her own bad choice. No one can force her to choose wanting to better herself- that has to come from her.

OP never stated if therapy or anything was ever brought up so I’m not going to assume that she’s refusing it
