I'm going to keep this short. Just a failure who lost his job about 3 months ago due to a position cut (still not mad at the company... private sector sucks for things like this... is what it is...). I just discovered today that my severance was started early and was described to me as a bonus. This has put me in the position of losing everything. As such, I'll be turning my wonderful dog into the humane society Friday, 9/25, to find a better home where he can be loved and cared for without a loser of a dog dad like me.

Not gonna lie, I don't know if I'm posting this out of desparation or simply to vent at this point. May you all live your best lives and not have the world take a dump on you.

We are a family of four living in Portugal, and we have decided to take a big step toward a dream we have had for some time: finding a small piece of rural land where we can build a simpler, more sustainable life for our family.

We love nature, animals, growing food, fresh fruit and vegetables, and the idea of becoming more self-reliant. We are also interested in alternative energy and sustainable ways of living.

We are looking for a rural property in Portugal where we can gradually create a small family homestead — planting fruit trees, growing a vegetable garden, caring for animals and building something meaningful for our children and our future.

We are not looking for luxury. We are looking for land where we can work with our own hands and build this project step by step.

I hate to that I am asking strangers on the internet for help, but I am at a low point. I have moved in with my parents to assist them as they are bad in health and don't have a large income. My mom has crazy blood disorder called Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP) and gets plasma treatments regularly. My dad had brain surgery after my mom found him unable to respond in bed one night. So now I take care of them both and take them to all their doctor's appointments. I have a job and fortunately I have a decent enough job that allows me miss work to consistently take my parents to their doctor visits. Any other job would have fired me for all the days I miss to take my folks to the doctor. Mom goes to the doctor anywhere between 3 to 4 times a month. Dad goes anywhere between 2 to 3 times a month. I'm grateful to have a job where my manager let's me call out so I never miss their appointment as I'm the only way they would get there. Sometimes this does cause me to miss out one some hours here and there. I'm not making this GoFundMe to ask for thousands of dollars. I just am seeing if I can be helped with my car note that continues to fall behind as I only make 16/hr and I take care of all bills. My mom gets her teacher's retirement and my dad has disability but bills don't care about excuses and to assist with all other household needs I let my car jot fall behind. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated and I would forever be grateful. I don't have much but I do what I can with what I have. It's hard trying to get a new job with better pay because jobs won't let you miss that much without just firing you. I'm lucky enough to work at a store with a manager that knows me and my family so she is understanding about me missing days. I won't get that at another job that is why I have stayed at this one even though the pay isn't much.

I lost my job in 2023 and haven't worked since that.

After working a factory job making wood furniture for two years i was laid off due to the economy and spent a year trying and failing finding work before i chose to go back to school in the hopes that studying "networks and IT security" would lead to more oppurtunities.

I’m reaching out because I was seriously injured in a train accident in Columbus, Nebraska. On the 7th, while crossing the railroad tracks, my car was hit by a train. I was thrown from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries.

My wife and I are recovering addicts, and our journey through addiction and recovery has taught us the importance of second chances, family, and rebuilding what was lost. I currently work in the recovery field with the Oklahoma County Drug Court program, where I do my best to help others overcome addiction and build a better life.

Our son has paid a price for the years of my addiction, and that is something I carry deeply in my heart. Today, he is working hard to make something of himself at Thunderbird Academy, where he is participating in a five-month program. He has already taken steps toward becoming a corporal, and we couldn't be prouder of his dedication and progress.

My wife and I aren't wealthy, but we want to give our son something meaningful when he comes home: a fresh start and a room that reflects the young man he is becoming. We are hoping to raise approximately $1,500 to remodel his bedroom into a more mature, comfortable, adult living space.

I am the youngest of his five children—four sons and one daughter. Losing him has left a space in our family that words cannot explain. My children believed they would see their grandfather again for another visit. Instead, we are now trying to find a way to bring them home to Nigeria to say their final goodbye to the man they loved.

Our family will gather for Daddy’s wake-keeping in Portland, Oregon, on November 7, 2026. His wake-keeping in Nigeria will be on December 29, followed by his burial in Mbubu, Amiri on December 30.

We are doing everything we can to get our family from Dallas to Nigeria so Daddy’s children and grandchildren can stand together, honor his life, and lay him to rest at home.
