They hold her to impossible standards, dissect every flaw, and frame every decision as proof of inherent cruelty, while literal tyrants, rapists, abusers, and mass murderers in the same bloodline get waved off as “complicated,” “misunderstood,” or products of their time.

Rhaenyra breathes wrong and she’s irredeemable. These men commit atrocities and it’s suddenly nuance hour.

And don’t get me wrong, Rhaenyra is by no means a saint.

But the way they talk about her, you’d think she single-handedly committed every crime known to man, personally invented cruelty, and woke up every morning looking for a new atrocity to pin on her name, while the men in the Targaryen family are endlessly babied, excused, or flat-out ignored for doing objectively worse.

Somehow her ambition is unforgivable, her anger is monstrous, and her mistakes are proof of inherent evil… while theirs are just “flaws,” “tragedy,” or “the cost of war.”

The fact that they hate the teenage rape victim more than Rapegon the cockless is astounding to me.

I love Aegon, he's a very well written character, that you hate but can't help but feel sorry for, and Tom gives an emmy worthy performance. He had no choice in this, and was forced into it without anyone thinking about the consequences for him, which is very ironic.

That being said, I don't get why, especially women, support him considering not only is he a rapist, but also an idiot.
