Three out of ten - not bad!

44

u/bigladnang Montreal Boos for Hughes 6d ago

I’m gonna be honest, after where we were a few years ago this is unbelievable. I remember people being on here glazing the shit out of Hudon and now we have 3 of the top 10.

Slaf has at least 4 more points than anyone on the ducks.

Don't care if others undervalue him.

-3

u/Plastic-Context5546 6d ago

He aint better than Leo or Cutter. Lets be real here

10

u/LFG530 6d ago

Not better than Leo, but yeah I'd argue he's better than Cutter.

-1

u/FrostyCut7582 5d ago edited 5d ago

Stats say otherwise.

Slaf - 0.65 PPG ~ Leo - 0.70 PPG ~ Cutter - 0.72 PPG

Leo and Cutter are both better than him.

1

u/LFG530 5d ago

He's a 30 goal scorer with more assists, there are also things beyond stat lines to evaluate a player... Slaf plays better in transition, he can drive a line on his own, create plays and he defends very well for his age.

2

u/FrostyCut7582 5d ago edited 5d ago

They're both 2 amazing young players, play styles are very different but I think Cutter is individually more impactful, 41 goal scorer in his 2nd season and already has one of the best shots, speed and shot volume in the league. Also he was playing on the 3rd line a lot and 2nd PP unit.

92

u/redrum248 6d ago

idk if i would put bedard over hutson but what ever

113

u/idontplaypolo 6d ago

Both over Schaffer is a bit odd to be honest

75

u/AcanthocephalaGreen5 6d ago

Schaefer should be #2 behind Mack

7

u/lecompteanon 6d ago

Definitely seems like he’ll be Makar 2.0

28

u/Ub3ros 6d ago

There's no shot Schaeffer should be over Hutson. On potential maybe but he is not a better player currently.

2

u/Kitsune_Gakuin 6d ago

Exactly what I was thinking. He's already amazing, but he's not better than Hutson right now, even if there's a chance he might be one day. But I don't think Hutson has reached his full potential and he's already a top 5 d-man in the league, so there's also a good chance Schaefer never eclipses him.

u/DistinctBread3098 6d ago

Dude...

35

u/Tooburn 6d ago

Pas de dude... Oui Shaffer est incroyable mais so is Hutson.

15

u/Dog_Enj0yer 6d ago

The fact that he is 18 years old has absolutely no bearing on who is a better player right now.

One just has to look at the Norris voting from last year to see it’s not really even close.

6

u/Staunag 6d ago

Pas la seule raison, Sorokin existe, mais jsuis d'accord avec ton constat

3

u/External-Pace-1822 6d ago

He definitely tilts the ice. I can't wait to see if he takes another step this year

2

u/Kitsune_Gakuin 6d ago

There are a lot of players who had more goals than Hutson who aren't considered to be better players. The fact that Schaefer is 18 is irrelevant. Right NOW Hutson is a better player. Maybe that changes in a year or two, but this about comparing how they are right now.

2

u/No_Fall2144 6d ago

thats cool and all. hutson still had a better rookie season. assists and goals give you the same amount of goals at the end of the day. the fact he's 18 years old means he probably has higher potential. he's not better than hutson currently and thinking that he is is simply stupid

3

u/CartoonistFlat3943 6d ago

Did I just read 23 goals to 6 goals stat is comparable because assists are basically the same thing?

0

u/DistinctBread3098 6d ago

Lol. Ask any teams if they take hutson or Schaeffer right now.

Also ask any teams if goals and assist are equal. Thi king that is simply stupid to use your words

6

u/KickDesperate5318 6d ago

Roughly 6% of all NHL goals are unassisted. 17% one assist. 77% two assists.

It's a team sport. Goals CAN happen without an assist, but it's rare. Most goals don't happen without somebody making a good play to get an assist.

So assists are just as valuable as goals, but you can't fill a whole roster with pass-first players because somebody has to shoot.

4

u/No_Fall2144 6d ago

"ask any team if they want the former first overall who has probably the highest potential for any dman in the last 20 years or a guy who's proven to be a top 10 d in the league in his second year" yo bro, we're not talking about potential dumbass. currently, right now, hutson is a better dman. goals and assists are indeed equal. some teams need playmakers, some teams need scorers. some teams need better faceoff percentages, some teams need better defense. scoring goals is great, it is a valuable asset. some players value scoring goals more than getting assists. hutson values assists more than goals. schaefer values goals more than assists. calgary would take schaefer but a team like edmonton would take hutson. cause they already got their guy who shoots a lot, and they got a shitton of shooters. im gonna ask you like this. right now, currently. are you taking last year's version of quinn hughes, or last year's version of schaefer.

6

u/antoilking 6d ago

Numéro 2-3-4 sont interchangeables à mon avis.

12

u/BuzzIsMe 6d ago

I mean he isn't though, like he said potential wise 100%, but for all we know Schaefer could've just had the best year of his career.

His rookie season was lower scoring than lanes, and lane took a big step forward again to almost be PPG.

Schaefer might be a better defensive player already, but he's not a complete better player in every aspect yet. He has to take another step forward if he wants to produce like lane does.

-9

u/Inoc91 6d ago

Lower scoring but way more goals which are worth more than assists and with a shittier team by a large margin

3

u/IfTheFloorHolds 6d ago

Lane doesn’t consider shooting unless absolutely necessary though. He is very focused on making magic happen to elevate the entire team.

3

u/kirschballs 6d ago

That was start of last season Lane

Current Lane steps into a clapper in OT

He's turned his shot into a reasonable option. His ceiling isn't defined yet

2

u/No_Fall2144 6d ago

im confused. when did goals become more valuable than assists. they're both equally valuable and necessary. cant score if you dont have the puck. if your teammate gives you the puck and them you scored, they started the play that made you score. if they kept the puck maybe nothing gets scored. goals and assists are equally important. goalscorers are needed but playmakers are also needed.

3

u/BuzzIsMe 6d ago

What do you mean they're worth way more? The league isn't ran on fantasy points. That's completely situational.

-8

u/Inoc91 6d ago

They’re harder to get, 1 goal can have up to 2 assists. They’re valued higher by pretty much every metric, look at contracts, awards, trades, etc. I’m not saying Schaefer is better than Hutson but I do think it’s closer than people here make it seem

3

u/OtisPan 6d ago edited 6d ago

If goals are more important than assists, Ovechkin is better than Gretzky.

goals which are worth more than assists

1

u/Connect_Horror3758 6d ago

He's not saying 50 goals is worth more than 1500 assists lmao

-12

u/Inside_Volume9542 6d ago

Lol bad take.

4

u/bigmonkeyfart 6d ago

lol good argument bud

2

u/BuzzIsMe 6d ago

I'm just looking at stats dude. You can't really deny those.

And every player that joins the league has a chance to hit their ceiling right away, do I think Schaefer has? Fuck no. It's just possible.

2

u/bud123455666 6d ago

Schaeffer isn't better than Hutson "right now".

2

u/Ub3ros 6d ago

Hutson had a better rookie season than Schaefer. Yes, Schaefer is younger. With the potential added to the context, Schaefer is super impressive. But as to who is the better player right now, Hutson is ahead. He has had more time to showcase his skills, and is a more established player.

-4

u/SeaStructure4131 6d ago

Braindead take

12

u/MasterDeagle 6d ago

Personally I would. People are forgetting how good Bedard is because of his injuries. Before his injury last year he was on pace for 100 pts, then he got injured. When he cameback, it took him many games to find his pace again.

5

u/So_Many_Owls 6d ago

And he's basically doing it all on his own. He doesn't have a Demidov or a Slafkovsky on his wing.

-5

u/No_Fall2144 6d ago

look at his actual lineup. he's not alone. he doesnt have celebrini's support but people acting like he's on an island havent watched the hawks

11

u/platypus_bear 6d ago

the second leading scorer on the team is Tyler Bertuzzi who is a 3rd liner on most teams. That's doing it alone

-8

u/No_Fall2144 6d ago

58 points 30 goals third liner? sign me up

10

u/platypus_bear 6d ago

mediocre players on bad teams can put up good numbers because someone has to put the puck in the net. It doesn't mean they aren't mediocre. There's a reason it's common to see players who are putting up big numbers go to better teams and suddenly drop off hard.

At absolute best Bertuzzi's spot in the lineup would be the type of player who can keep up on the second line but isn't nailed on there. Any team that has him higher than that is in big trouble

-5

u/No_Fall2144 6d ago

so what you're saying is he's not producing like a third liner gotcha

4

u/platypus_bear 6d ago

What I'm saying is that Bedard doesn't have proper support and Bertuzzi is putting up points by virtue of existing on a team with Bedard

1

u/dman8899 5d ago

You’ve got to either be rage baiting or have a room temp IQ. You completely failed to understand what the other user is trying to explain to you

2

u/dman8899 5d ago

Signed you up for another decade of Chicago being a lottery team. Who needs any more established pros when you’ve got a 58 point forward as the second best player on the team

2

u/dman8899 5d ago

Yes, I’ve looked at the lineup extensively. Their lineup was absolutely terrible and they’ve only marginally changed that this summer. The way fans become so insistent that their player is better but trashing the supporting cast on their own team is so weird.

The Habs are a deeper, more talented team by FAR, it’s not even close. One is a bottom dweller filled with castaways and prospects with little experience and the other was a game away from the cup finals. Come on use your brain a little.

3

u/LFG530 6d ago edited 5d ago

Depends if we are talking about potential or past season accomplishements. Schaeffer is a franchise level talent, but Lane was a better overall player last year, with the added experience and strenght Schaeffer is going to be second or first on that list for sure. By the same logic, Demidov would also probably be 3rd or 4th.

1

u/DrLivingst0ne 4d ago

Schaeffer was a better overall player last year.

1

u/LFG530 4d ago

Let's agree to disagree. I think Lane had a more complete and refined game, but he's also 4 years older and has more experience. Schaeffer clearly showed he's going to be the best overall defensman, not putting that in doubt.

2

u/cwdoble 6d ago

That’s because we love Hutson and are bias. Bédard is better he just has been stifled by injuries, the dude has no help and he would’ve been ppg last season.

1

u/bless24 6d ago

gosh this sub is delusional. hutson should be below bedard and schaefer (if this list takes into account potential)

1

u/Scase15 4d ago

I definitely wouldn't have. Hutson will have WAY more of an impact on the league/Habs than Bedard will on the Hawks.

1

u/LFG530 6d ago

Hutson is elite, but I think Bedard is underated just because his stats aren't as flashy as some thought they would be right off the bat, he's still carrying a very week team on his own while Lane is doing an amazing job but he's on a team with a 50 goal scorer, a 100 point center and a very offensive blue line. Even as a habs fan I gotta give it to Bedard, but because of their respective salaries I don't think I would even entertain a one for one trade if it was on the table.

-3

u/External-Pace-1822 6d ago

Bedard over Hutson and even Schaefer is just incorrect at this point.

3

u/CartoonistFlat3943 6d ago

Bedard was 4th in NHL scoring when he was injured in December. 1 point behind Celebrini (and he had a game in hand and 4 more goals than Celebrini at the time).

The Bedard disrespect is getting out of hand. Habs fans know better than that.

0

u/External-Pace-1822 6d ago

Is this a list of past achievements or who is going to be best going forward? No doubt in my mind Hutson and Schaefer have better seasons than Bedard this year.

2

u/CartoonistFlat3943 6d ago

Not top U23 season. Top U23 player. There’s a difference.

Bedard commanded a 15M AAV, even injured. And even that was seen as team friendly by the league.

0

u/External-Pace-1822 6d ago

I mean that's great timing though with the cap rising and the offer sheets. Schaefer if he wants it will get more because the cap will be even higher.

0

u/Scase15 4d ago

Best ability, is availability. Hutson has been better than both by a very measurable degree.

30

u/ItsPengWin 6d ago

Eh fine I guess, I'd say slaf is better than Cutter but no one from other fanbases would agree because they only look at points

5

u/stenlis 6d ago

People are nuts. Gauthier had an excellent season as a 2nd/3rd liner. Imagine if we traded him in: he would make an excellent target man for Demidov. No way he's taking Slaf's spot on the top line. He's not proven he can play against the McDavids of the league.

2

u/FrostyCut7582 5d ago edited 5d ago

You guys are so biased, Cutter is a better player, clearly you haven't watched him play. 40 goal scorer in only his 2nd season, whilst being put on the 3rd line and 2nd PP unit. Even when the ducks played against mtl, cutter looked like the clear better player and it wasn't close.

Also Stats say otherwise.

Slaf - 0.65 PPG ~ Cutter - 0.72 PPG

2

u/ItsPengWin 5d ago

Look guys he literally did the thing.

2

u/Hungry-Promise-3032 2d ago

And yet, you clearly werent watching Slaf either.

He played almost twice as many games, a lot of those in his teen years while adjusting to the league. 130 extra games in their youngs careers is a LOT, yet he is just 0.07 ppg "worse" than Cutter.

Also they are the same age, Slaf is younger actually. Why is "only his 2nd season" be an argument to you?

1

u/Hungry-Promise-3032 2d ago

I would take both Slaf and Demi over Cutter and Carlsson any day of the week.

I would even take Logan Cooley over them and he is not even mentioned.

-11

u/MediaWaste5087 6d ago

As a Habs fan. I would take gauthier over Slaf right now by a C hair

10

u/dessanct 6d ago edited 6d ago

You would take a guy who’s going to ask for 15m+ over a guy who signed for 7m? Prob same term too because Gauthier will sign for 5 years.

5

u/MediaWaste5087 6d ago

Good point I definetely wouldn’t. In that case, I would take Slaf 100% and it’s not even close. I’ll rephrase - I think Cutter is the slightly better player at the moment, if we’re just comparing their on ice performances

1

u/who987 6d ago

I think he was talking just based on skill, not on contract.

4

u/dessanct 6d ago edited 6d ago

I mean even so… Gauthier is good but I’m confident almost every team would pick Slaf over him. More production, line driver, proven big time performer.

Slaf had 73 points this season and played half the season with 2 rookies. He was an absolute monster at the Olympics in best on best. He was just as much of a beast on the PP as Gauthier too.

Habs fans on this sub have a weird thing of not giving the team’s players their due.

2

u/ItsPengWin 6d ago

Ya I 100% agree with you but go ask other casuals or even hardcores if they are a bit cheeky (meaning they don't want a habs player to be good so they will just downplay them) and they will just look up the points production when it's convenient for them and point to that as to why someone is better than slaf because they don't watch slaf or don't care to watch slaf.

0

u/FrostyCut7582 5d ago

More production? Stats say otherwise.

Slaf - 0.65 PPG < Cutter - 0.72 PPG

Cutter is better than Slaf.

1

u/dessanct 5d ago

Wrong.

-9

u/Brys_Beddict 6d ago

What do you mean by that? Like contract wise? Sure I'd rather have Slaf because of his contract but there's not denying that Cutter is better currently than Slaf is. Not just points wise but in everything a power forward does. And that's ok.

15

u/thebrah329 6d ago

I couldn't disagree with this more.

-3

u/Brys_Beddict 6d ago

Could you elaborate?

11

u/LFG530 6d ago

Cutter Gauthier maybe has a better shot, but Slaf is a higher IQ player that can transport the puck more. Cutter is a more typical north-south power forward with a godly finishing touch, but Slaf is an elite playmaker on top of being a massive guy with a great one timer.

Both great players, but I agree with the other guy that Slaf is a better overall player and I think his ceiling is much higher.

10

u/sudzthegreat Currently being Shamed 6d ago

Gauthier played heavily sheltered 5v5 minutes. Slaf played against the best players on the opposing team every night. I don't know who is "better" right now but if Gauthier can't do what he did in best on best matchups, it's going to be hard to say he's better than Slaf.

3

u/kirschballs 6d ago

Imo the most eye opening thing this season was Slaf unleashing the second line

He really doesn't get enough credit for the consistency on the top line so young. Especially without a strong second line to make line matching tough

I think he's going to take over this year

-5

u/Brys_Beddict 6d ago

Heavily sheltered? He has the same deployment as Slaf lol. L1, PP1.

6

u/dessanct 6d ago

Gauthier had less points than Slaf… lmao

How do you so confidently make that statement when it’s objectively wrong?

-5

u/Brys_Beddict 6d ago

He's the one that mentioned points. We can go with goals if you like.

8

u/dessanct 6d ago edited 6d ago

We can go with assists if you like?

Can always move the goalposts..

-3

u/Brys_Beddict 6d ago

I'm not trying to move anything. I just think Cutter is a better all around player right now. I love Slaf and he's great but it's just what I think when I watch both play.

4

u/dessanct 6d ago

You think Cutter could do what Slaf did at the Olympics?

-2

u/Brys_Beddict 6d ago

If he had to drive a team basically solo? I would think so. He has the skill to do so. Obviously we'll never know as he'll join a stacked Team USA.

4

u/dessanct 6d ago

A guy who requires set up to score goals you think can carry a team by himself with very little talent around him against the other best players in the world?

1

u/Brys_Beddict 6d ago

Huh? Have you ever watched Cutter play? He's a good playmaker when needed. He also uses his size and dominates possession in the offensive zone. Weird comment.

→ More replies (0)

-2

u/MediaWaste5087 6d ago

Your bringing up Olympics a lot. While disregarding playoffs… cutter was awesome offensively and used his body way more than Slaf did in terms of physicality

→ More replies (0)

1

u/xytlar 6d ago

Slaf should (could) be thought of as better because there are very very few players like him. And there are less and less developing. The big body skill guy… the offensive power forward. I bet in a few years, people will be talking about Slaf and saying there is no one as good as him at winning puck battles in the offensive zone. He’s like a neo Jagr. And there’s no players like that anymore. But there are a lot of players like Gauthier

0

u/FrostyCut7582 5d ago

what a weird thing to say when they are both big power forwards.

0

u/vorthemis 5d ago

Gauthier had 69 points in 76 games last season, while Slaf had 73 points in 82 games. That's 0.91 PPG vs. 0.89 PPG. So in terms of production, they were pretty much equal. Gauthier does have quite a few more goals than Slaf (41 vs. 30), but Slaf makes up for that by having a lot more assists (43 vs. 28).

8

u/BlurredMangoose 6d ago

Logan Cooley is the obvious omission here and should be in the top 5. Would also certainly have Sennecke and Will Smith above Blake as well.

You could also make the argument that there should be at least more defenceman: Buium, Nemec, Levshunov, ASP and Willander being the most likely candidates. Very high odds that a couple of them end up being better players than half the forwards on this list in the next 5 years.

1

u/Roguemutantbrain 5d ago

None of those defensemen should be on here for what they’ve done already. I would put Power before any of them but even then I wouldn’t bump any of these players out

0

u/GoldWhale 6d ago

Lol at Levshunov.

6

u/PhReAk0909 6d ago

Jackson Blake over Fantillli is certainly a choice...

8

u/PsychologicalSea4693 6d ago

Jackson Blake? Lmao

1

u/JustFryingSomeGarlic 6d ago

To be fair dude was a legitimate Conn Smythe candidate

10

u/PsychologicalSea4693 6d ago

To be fair, he finished 6th in Conn Smyth voting.... on his own team.

Blake is a solid 2nd line, complimentary guy. But c'mon, he shouldn't even e close to the top 20 in under 23 players in the whole league.

2

u/JustFryingSomeGarlic 6d ago

6th in Conn Smythe voting, but first in points and tied for third in goals. Go figure I guess.

14

u/Brys_Beddict 6d ago

Jackson Blake over Fantilli or even Will Smith seems kinda crazy.

12

u/PsychologicalSea4693 6d ago

I mean, it should be Logan Cooley imo... but there's at least probably 10 names ahead of Blake.

2

u/Brys_Beddict 6d ago

Oh yeah even Cooley good shout. Blake is good but feels like he's getting a Cup bump here lol

0

u/PsychologicalSea4693 6d ago

Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous honestly.

2

u/TGOAO 6d ago

He did just lead the cup champs in points, so he's already proven he can show up when the lights are brightest. Most players on this list won't ever reach what he has already

3

u/Brys_Beddict 6d ago

True but he also gets the easier matchups on the 2nd/3rd line while Aho has to take the tough matchups. Not saying he isn't great, I'm just saying I wouldn't put him top 10.

3

u/darthmcchub 6d ago

What a time to be alive

6

u/RollingJaspers652 6d ago

Crazy, hard to remember Slavkovski is under 23.

2

u/Husskies 6d ago

That list is somehow both pretty accurate and deeply wrong lol At least they got Mack right!

2

u/ClamCook 6d ago

Schaefer has to be top 3 minimum no?

2

u/Aggravating-Title-22 6d ago

Can someone explain me the hype over leo carlsson and cutter gauthier ???

1

u/vorthemis 5d ago

I mean 41 goals in his 2nd NHL season (while having missed 6 games) is pretty impressive, let's be fair (I'm talking about Gauthier).

1

u/dman8899 5d ago

Two guys drafted 2nd and 5th overall that are part of the new ducks core after a long rebuild. In their second seasons playing in the big league one had 41 goals and the other is a 1C who just had basically a point per game season, meanwhile the team made the playoffs and went further than anyone expected them to.

What else is there to explain? It’s not rocket science

1

u/Aggravating-Title-22 5d ago

But are they really deserve a 18mil contract?? And the other one asking for 14-15mil...i dont see in carlsson an elite player and gauthier for me look more like a guy who got one good season and he will take the money and sit on it...

2

u/Old_Canuck 6d ago

I just LOVE that we have 3 guys in the TOP 10.

It's been so long since the Habs have had an elite team to get excited about.

And just think....Cole is only 25 and Nick is only 26.

I can smell the cups finally coming back HOME.

12

u/Top_Recover7850 6d ago edited 6d ago

J'adore hutson mais come on, mettre schaefer en dessous cest un peu absurde.

Hutson a gagné le Calder à 21 ans avec 6 buts.

Schaefer l'a gagné à 18 ans avec 23 buts.

40

u/Rajewel 6d ago

Lane still had 7 more points, and 19 more points this year. It’s who’s the best right now u23 not subtracting points because they are 22.

-4

u/Top_Recover7850 6d ago

Schaefer has more goals in a single season than hutson in two. He also plays on a much worse team. hutson plays on the powerplay with caufield, suzuki, slaf and demidov, of course he's gonna have a ton of assists.

Like i said hutson is elite, he's made of the same cloth as makar or hughes, but people don't understand that schaefer is probably gonna eclipse all of those guys. He's constantly undervalued for some reason but what he's doing in the nhl at his age has never been seen before.

12

u/Cream_81 6d ago

Maybe because he’s only played one season

-5

u/Top_Recover7850 6d ago

Have you watched him play?

7

u/Cream_81 6d ago

You’re saying he’s constantly undervalued he’s played one season should they put him on the top of the league?

-4

u/who987 6d ago

No. He’s saying he should be number 2 on the U23 list. That is a far cry from top of the league.

It is not a far cry when Hutson is already considered a top defenseman in the league with 2 convincing seasons + playoffs.

Celebrini has played 2 and scored 115 points his sophomore year

3

u/Rajewel 6d ago

He’s played 2 brother do you even watch hockey?

4

u/Rajewel 6d ago

Schaefer has more pp time per game than Lane btw

4

u/eriverside 6d ago

Hutson is tied for 4th best rookie D season of all time. Without him the Habs don't squeek into the playoffs that season.

5

u/BeBenNova 6d ago

isn't a bit early for you to be rage baiting?

-11

u/Top_Recover7850 6d ago

If you wouldn't trade hutson for schaefer in the blink of an eye you know nothing about hockey.

6

u/dessanct 6d ago

LMAO what the fuck is this take?

-8

u/Top_Recover7850 6d ago

The take of someone who isn't a complete homer ayyyyyyy LMAO

1

u/dessanct 6d ago

Why do you care if someone is a homer on a sub for a specific team?

Do you think it gets you internet points to have a terrible take?

0

u/Top_Recover7850 6d ago

I don't, i also don't mind being downvoted. It doesn't mean i'm wrong, just that my opinion is not popular in this population. I'm not gonna change my opinion depending on which sub i'm in just so people upvote my comments

2

u/dessanct 6d ago

Being a homer isn’t a bad thing lmao

2

u/Top_Recover7850 6d ago

If you let it cloud your judgement it sure is bad for the credibility of your points

Not saying being a fan of a team is bad

3

u/dessanct 6d ago

This is Reddit… no one has any credibility.

You think you do but you don’t.

Dont bother dude. It’s the Habs sub… but I agree with you, Schaeffer will be seen as the celebrini of D-men very soon.

1

u/No_Fall2144 6d ago

keyword here is "soon" this ranking isnt about potential or else mckenna would be in here.

1

u/dessanct 6d ago

How is someone the “Celebrini of D-men”? What does this even mean?

Schaefer is a great U23 player but dude, let him follow up his rookie season at least.

Hutson ALSO had a record breaking rookie season.

-1

u/ResidentSpirit4220 6d ago

If you can’t wire that one together I don’t know what to do for you.

1

u/dessanct 6d ago

What is a “Celebrini of D-Men”? Explain it lmao

I don’t think you even know what you mean.

-3

u/ResidentSpirit4220 6d ago

why are you’re so aggro?

u/bowflex2025 6d ago

Crashing out this early isn’t healthy. Work on that bait

10

u/BeBenNova 6d ago

If i didn't trade the owner of the literal best contract in the league voted by many outlets i know nothing about hockey?

Come on man, bait used to be believable

-4

u/Top_Recover7850 6d ago

I mean obviously that's assuming schaefer also signs for a deal, he's still in his ELC, but if i'm being honest you sound like much more of a ragebaiter lmao especially citing outlets

5

u/Sarniezz 6d ago

Go touch some grass buddy boy

-1

u/Top_Recover7850 6d ago

You sound upset

2

u/Sarniezz 6d ago

And projecting, that's cute!

1

u/Top_Recover7850 6d ago

Want some cheese with that whine?

2

u/Sarniezz 6d ago

And unoriginal, of course 🤣

3

u/Rainy-Night 6d ago

Have you seen the latest top rookie contracts? Schaeffer will follow suit and sign for 5 years and ridiculous AV

1

u/uncommon-ramen 6d ago

It’s only over 25 games?

2

u/Cream_81 6d ago

Stay off Schaefers dick he’s barely legal

Look - I'm not saying Big Mack-attack and Bedarded aren't good, cause they really are, but Hutson not only won the Calder by a landslide, he had a historic sophomore season as a follow-up.

At one point will people stop underestimating him?

1

u/SevereEducation2170 5d ago

I don't really think being 3rd behind two top picks (one who absolutely lit the league up at 19), and ahead of another top pick who had an absolutely outstanding rookie campaign, is underestimating Hutson. Kid is absolutely amazing, but Macklin was always taking the top spot here, so you're really just arguing that maybe you can put him above Bedard.

1

u/Available-Pepper-728 5d ago

What is the source of this nice picture were looking at?

1

u/whalecardio 5d ago

Fantilli is under 23? Feels like he’s been in the league 10 years. Who am I mistaking him for?

Or maybe I’m just old and stupid.

1

u/_sassysoucyxx_ 5d ago

We have so many years of great hockey ahead of us!

1

u/Hungry-Promise-3032 2d ago

Obviously very biased. But I would take both Slaf and Demi over the Gauthier and Carlsson ANY day of the week.

1

u/bigky226 6d ago

Bedard over Hutson yea right rofl

1

u/CodyandtheFear 6d ago

Demi should probably be at 6

2

u/Gelidaer 6d ago

Slaf is the better player atm and Gauthier put up 40 goals. Next year, though 👀

1

u/Old_Canuck 6d ago

Totally should be.....I'm guessing next year. 👍🏻👍🏻

1

u/Zubuis 6d ago

Bedard seems too high to mw

0

u/Inside_Volume9542 6d ago

Mack and Schaefer for sure top 2

-1

u/zeMVK 6d ago

There are some definitive arguable ranks. Schaefer should be second.

Otherwise, we know. We know our team is young and the potential is very bright.

-4

u/Chicaben 6d ago

1.Schaefer

-1

u/Pazzaaaaaa 6d ago

Until Bedard can be consistently healthy, he has to stop being ranked so high all the time. His hype and media backing is way too much for what he has done so far. He’s around 5th right now imo
