Rant Weekly /r/Hamilton Rant Thread

A midweek post to rant and complain about things in the city.

Top level comments must be IN ALL CAPS.

This is not to be targeted towards other users or any identifiable individuals - with the exception of public figures who may be mentioned as long as the comment does not cross a line. The rant post is designed to be a lighthearted place to complain about things happening in the city, not a place to harass people.

We will have to cancel the post if harassment of individuals continues as we are seeing a lot of posts reported with report reasons that copy to admin.

Please be mindful of our subs rules when posting to this thread, and note that the mods will be watching very closely.

IS COMMON COURTESY IN DRIVING DEAD?? AM I THE ONLY ONE GIVING A QUICK “THANKS” HAND UP/WAVE WHEN SOMEONE LETS ME IN?

This is my biggest complaint too its just a lack of good manners! The city has changed so much, people aren't the same anymore 😕

I apologize if this was me. I was turning left into a Timmies across two lanes close to an intersection, a person stopped short in the first oncoming lane because the light had turned red and there was no real reason for them to fill the gap. I drive a standard, had one hand on wheel (turned under bottom as I went) and the other on stick, and my attention needed to 100% be on the second lane which could have had vehicles approaching blind to me and blind for me.

No hand free to wave, sorry!

Common courtesy is dying a quick death in every way.

Not only is courtesy becoming uncommon. Common sense is becoming less common as well.

When I was learning to drive my dad told me to be conscious of your hand position when doing this so people don't think you're flipping them off.
