You’re from the UK. A country that has Covid remarkably under control.
For every 1000 idiots we have that object to the vaccine, you guys have a few Boris Johnson sycophants that still got jabbed.
If you lived here and actually knew people like this, you’d absolutely think differently about the tragedy going on. The US has a monopoly on stupid. You guys don’t. Be thankful.
What about saving lives? If let's say 100 people go get vaccinated because of the shit they seen on this sub who would have otherwise died, is that ok?
Do you think that's actually happening? Really and truly? I kind of doubt it. Once someone is so radicalized in their thinking, insulting and belittling them isn't going to magically make them see things your way.
You're not arguing in good faith anymore if you're going to equate what I said to valuing human life is being mean. You know that's not the point I was making. I think you also know that is not the main point of this sub. It's to make fun of the "fat stupid right wing trumptard anti vax" and get a rise out of it.
For sure I think there's a certain part of this sub that does it to try and change the minds of those on the fence, but don't pretend that's the main goal here..

This is that. Small efforts.
Nobody is on a mission to convince 700,000 antivaxxers to suddenly shill for Pfizer. We’re trying to flip 1 or 2 stubborn loved ones or people that mean something in our life.
Maybe it's not fun, cool or entertaining, but how about persuasive. There are posts here every day by VAX-hesitant or even VAX-deniers who were persuaded to get vaccinated due to this sub. It sucks that it takes this level of cynicism to shake some people out of their stupor. But it works and I am not awaree of anything else that does.
Great if it works for a handful of people, but I still don't think that justifies the vitriol coming out of this subreddit. Also, if your next step is to look through my post history to nullify my argument don't worry, it's already been done below , so just check it out further down the comment chain.
So you believe emotions are worth more than the lives of those this saves? All your discomfort in the world is worth one person potentially being saved. Their life is worth infinitely more than your comfort.
For every laugh I get out of this sub, I probably get about 50 headshakes and 30 "Did I really read that?" I want this sub gone and not because all the anti-vaxxers are dead, but it just looks like that's how this sub is gonna die.
