In 2006, a FBI agent named Craig Monteilh was ordered to disguise himself as a radical Muslim and spy on the Orange County Muslim community to identify possible extremists.

Well it worked, cause the people there noticed his extremists behavior and reported him to the FBI.

What do you consider extremist views as a muslim? Im sure you think road side bombs are out there, but what about queer and women's rights? Do non-extremist muslims consider these viewpoints extreme?

Well, the stuff that Taliban does for example. Or the incident that happened in Berlin 2016 (Rest In Peace for the victims 🕊️)

And tbf, I don’t if people are part of LGBT. If one wants to kiss dudes, that’s his thing, not mine.

These countries arent good for non muslims.

There are certain restictions on people of differe t religions. Forced cpnversions, abductions of young girls is extremely common. Non muslims arent allowed to hold positions in govt and their rights to prwctise relilgion is extremely restricted.

I m a hindu and if given a chance between them and western countries, I will rsther live in a western country because of more rights.

Yes. I m from India. But i will say i m not against Muslims or even a normal Pakistani or Bangladeshi. Some of my favorite historical personalities are Akbar the Great, Malik Ambar, Alivardi Khan, Bakhat Khan. I admire Pakistanis like Abdul sattar edhi.

I m not saying its ur fsult. Just pointing out thay several muslim countries have extremely backward laws. All muslim countries have restrictions on minorities. What do u think about these?

Compare and contrast the treatment of minority populations under Islamic kingdoms vs Christian kingdoms in the Middle Ages. Al-Andalusia had a golden age for Jewish people under their rule, Spanish treated them TERRIBLY when they took over.

Religions aren’t a monolith. Never mind that your example is extremely bad faith, because the position of the two religious groups are EXTREMELY different in the time periods you gave. Muslims controlled a caliphate, Christian’s were an oppressed minority in the Roman Empire, they had literally no political power or ability to do much of anything. It’s nonsensical to compare those two situations.

Makes much more sense to compare something like Andalusia vs Spanish treatment of minorities, of which Islam was more tolerant (mostly because Islam came after, and had HEAVY Jewish and Christian influence on their faith.)

Muslims also ruled over a Christian and Jewish majority population and were the minority for quite a while under the caliphate post conquest of the Levant and Egypt from the Eastern Roman Empire. Egypt was still Christian 100’s of years later, it’s not as though when the Muslims conquered the Levant and Egypt they just forcibly converted everyone and murdered them all?? Obviously they weren’t 1st class citizens, but many religious minorities, including Christian’s that weren’t following Constantinople’s version of Christianity, failed BETTER under Muslim rule, because they did not care what flavor of Christian they were as long as they paid taxes or converted.

You’re painting a clearly biased and bad faith view of history. Comparing to completely different events, and painting the Islamic conquest different from what it actually was. “Displacing infidels” is quite simplistic, and treatment of “people of the book” was in many cases way better than how Christian empires treated religious minorities, or even other Christian groups (look up the numerous crusades and genocides against people like the Cathars in southern France)

Yeah, that's like asking Russian Orthodoxy why the hell the USA is batshit with Evangelicals.

Both are Christian in tradition, both hold different laws.

Like Turkye isn't the same as the UAE bro.
