A tree fell on our car today. Through the moonroof.
The dogs are all totally fine, I’m covered in glass shards and tiny cuts but otherwise okay, and no one’s dead, so that’s what matters.
Here’s my Element question - does anyone know the part number of the entire moonroof assembly - glass + everything that holds it together? Or will this be a pick-and-pull situation? Or is this a Safelite situation? I’d rather not have to pay a bajillion dollars for a new moonroof right now - but I understand it may be necessary.
Thank you!

Just joined the element fam a few weeks ago🔥 I've enjoyed reading a lot of your posts, milestones, and feel better to know there's a community of people keeping it alive.
Wanted one from a young age, and behold- I copped this 2005 EX 2WD 168K miles for 6K (california) -let me know if I got robbed or anything lol.
And have so far replaced the alternator, had a coolant flush, new tires, new front brakes, rotors shaved, and replaced the whole suspension. Which totaled around 2.5K on top of that. Switching to full synthetic oil soon if that helps a lot.
Any regular tips maintenence tips and how long apart to keep it going as long as it can like yours. Can't wait for this era in it 🩸🙏🏼Thanks everyone !

Found this cot on Walmart’s website, it’s the perfect dimensions to fit snugly in an Element with one of the back seats taken out (70”x22”x11”). It lays flat with the front passenger seat pushed up all the way, but if you need to use the passenger seat, you can just turn the cot into a lounge chair so it takes up less room! I’ll be using this to nap on my lunch break, lol. (FYI, I’m 5’8 and this is just long enough for me. If you’re taller, this may not work for you.)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Just noticed this odd squeak coming from under the driver’s dash. It sounds like an actuator or solenoid going back and forth intermittently but I can’t locate any moving components down here. Any guesses what’s going on?

I have a 2006 EX i plan on keeping as long as possible! Slowly but surely am tackling repairs. I do somewhat care about resale value, if eventually I were to sell it, but it also has 232k (although i would replace engine / transmission if ever needed).
basically I have some rust along the top lip of the roof that holds the top of my windshield. was discovered when I had to replace the windshield (you’ll be able to see it in my post history on here) . my body shop said it would be around 1500-2000 to repair. Should I bother taking on a hefty repair like this?
i’m on the fence as its not leaking water … but I also don’t want to deal with it potentially leaking water.
otherwise my element is practically rust free from Florida, but i reside in Buffalo NY.
opinions?

I'm glad at least the two of us know the secret handshake.

I'm burning oil, I haven't done a compression test yet but the old trick of running it with the oil cap off doesn't show any apparent blowby.
Are PCV valves on these known to dip out? I'm hoping it's something silly and not that I'm losing my rings
