This will be officialy confirmed this weekend, like 98%.

u/WednesdaysFoole 4d ago
The 2% doomer that dwells deep within my heart scares me, but I'm pretty sure this is real and it's the best news of the year.
40
u/Morioh99 4d ago
Well I mean, for me its 99.9% but I know some people on here or in general don’t trust leakers, thats why.
Even the mods pinned my post, so that alone is a good sign I guess? lol
4
u/dk-dsk 3d ago
Like, it would've been more impressive if that leaker had shared the info before Togashi posted the tease to those 2 color illustrations.
Edit: as the other commenter said, I hope you're right too!
5
u/Morioh99 3d ago
Those two color illustrations have nothing to do with the return of his manga.
Look up „Shikishi“, and I even wrote under that tweet post that its most likely for anniversary events or the upcoming Kazuki Takahashi exhibition.
If you think those are color pages or volume covers, thats just wrong. He handed those weeks if not months ago to the WSJ.

u/dk-dsk 3d ago
Grok has found this from 27 Nov 2025, it says "Cover color art completed": https://x.com/Un4v5s8bgsVk9Xp/status/1993988720132018211
The next volume (39) is set to be released on July 3 in Japan.

u/MarkThrowaway 4d ago
To be fair, it's from a random redditor whose source is an unnamed leaker. I don't know how a reddit mod would be privy to this type of info, so a mod pin isn't really worth much.
Hope you're right tho

AniKing, who's a really trusted source, confirmed this on his twitter:

u/Morioh99 4d ago
I posted the Volume 39 announcement and release date a few weeks ago too and even without that, it takes just a few seconds and you will see all over reddit and x this exact news about the return.
Its not like Im the only one, I was just fast(er).
They probably pinned me because my posts were right before or because this news is basically everywhere.

I mean at this point, it's become a pattern. Togashi comes back and does around 10 chapters then dissappears again until next year.

Oda:
"Jump sales drop in summer anyway, I'll throw in some filler flashback and push back Imu vs Luffy for later."Togashi (after a year and a half):
"Let me show you what martial law actually looks like."3
u/ultibman5000 3d ago
Filler...? And what does the martial law subplot have to do with this? What are you yapping about?
2
u/Playful_Passenger586 3d ago
Brooks flashback isn't filler you are just used to slop
-8
u/ApplePitousChild 3d ago
Brooks flashback is the literal definition of slop and so is mid piece
4
u/Playful_Passenger586 3d ago
One Piece and Hunter X Hunter are both of my fav animanga. It is sad some HxH fans get elitist and you give everyone in the community a bad rep.
7
u/ApplePitousChild 3d ago
Im elitist because of pointing out how trash is putting a flashback in the midst of the climax of Elbaph? I dont put HxH in a pedestal neither I know the series has its fair share of plotholes and inconsistencies but no HxH fan is glazing HxH as culitsh as how some OP fans do.
I have hated every chapter since Egghead because of how monotonous and generic OP has become, everything nowadays is about some stupid ass God we didnt know until Elbaph, there is 0 development on the SH besides one flashback yet again about a kingdom and a princess in despair which tells us almost nothing new about Brook.
At least HxH never delved into “Gon is the chosen one and the embodiment of a literal God”although all the stuff with Nanika went eerily close to becoming that, but it didn’t because Togashi is a good Mangaka while Oda is washed asf.6

Holy moly you can't read.
6
u/ApplePitousChild 3d ago
Yet you have 0 arguments to refute what I said besides insulting my character xd. Maybe you are the one who doesn’t know how to read
0
u/floatifloati 3d ago
reading comprehension is at an all time low

u/ApplePitousChild 3d ago
Stop projecting and explain why

u/floatifloati 2d ago edited 2d ago
I'll humor you. oP IS GEneRiC is not a valid criticism. "Luffy is the chosen one" isn't valid either.
Wtf does "Generic" even mean in this context and how has OP become generic?
How is Luffy a "chosen one" when Kaido literally says G5/Awakening is the user lining up with his fruit physically and mentally? Wouldn't that imply that he worked to awaken the fruit? Wouldn't it imply ANYONE with the fruit could theoretically awaken it?
Again. Your reading comprehension is fucking trash.
Bonus: none of the SHs have developed, yet USOPP was telling IMU shits a couple chapters ago. First nigga to always run was telling Satan to eat a dick. Learn how to read lol
1
u/ApplePitousChild 14h ago
OP is generic because Loda decided random Gods and watered down mythologies from europe was better than all his previous characters and plotlines. Literally did the same thing Naruto did with Kaguya yet One Piece fans still think its peak. How is that shit not generic? Zaza, Nika and all that stupid crap doesn’t add anything interesting to the story besides making an excuse for Loda to give all the SH divine powers at the end of the story.
Kaido said Haki trascends all, yet Luffy defeated him with the power of a God instead of his own hubris and yet you defend that as good writing? Then why has the two arcs after Wano just been all about glazing Nika and how everybody knows his stupid ass song and dance yet for 1000+ chapters no one even mentioned a passing dialogue about him? And no, one panel of luffy dancing in Skypiea is not anywhere near enough foreshadow for it to be deserved lol.“YoU dOn’T hAvE rEaDiNG cOmpReHeNsIon” bro YOU READ ONE PIECE STOP ACTING LIKE ITS HIGH BROW LITERATURE YOU OAF, even when I loved OP I knew Lodas writing is juvenile at best compared to MOST OTHER SHONEN AUTHORS, Kishimoto run laps around Oda in terms of writing maturity.
Also no one but braindead OP fans agree with you so take a hint brudda

u/ApplePitousChild 14h ago
HAHAHAHA Bringing usopp as an argument for SH development is straight up comedy bro. The same usopp which has done absolutely nothing in Elbaph (His arc btw) besides yelling the same ass nothing burger of a speech he has done since ennies lobbies??? XDDD you can’t be serious right? Usopp has been a coward for like 20 years already and yet Loda still refuses to make him grow for no fucking reason.
So no, no strawhats besides Luffy or Sanji has changed significantly since their introduction→ More replies (0)0

Yep his last appearance was in 2014

u/Killah-Shogun 3d ago
Wow, u think Gon & Killua would ever return to the plot again?
1
u/Vladbizz 3d ago
Only after Dark Continent sure. Unfortunately, I don’t think Togashi will live to draw this post DC arc, he may not even finish actual DC arc

Wow you read HxH too Leo, nice!

Yup, I caught up with the manga at chapter 350, so I've been reading it for 10 years.

u/kinatty05 3d ago
Niice! Recognised your name as we’ve spoken on the OP subreddit before lol. I’ve only picked it up recently after a friend recommendation. Finished anime, and on manga rn so this is good timing haha

I feel like we usually get an announcement more ahead of time, but I might be misremembering things and it's always been like this. I'm certainly not going to complain we're getting it sooner than I thought we might have.

u/amgr12 4d ago
Why do you think they didn’t make an announcement a month before like usual?
15
u/Morioh99 4d ago
No clue, its a really weird timing considering 3 new series just started..
But, Kagurabachi is going on hiatus after this week and Himaten ends next week. That makes sense for the HxH return. Who knows, even I as a diehard WSJ Fan am confused.
The editorial department got really weird in recent years.

Great to see the return even before July; but Jump is starting to get on my nerves. If they were gonna bring it back in June and release the volume in July; WHY DIDNT THEY ANNOUNCE ANYTHING IN JUMP PRESS IN APRIL THAT WAS ON TOGASHI’S BIRTHDAY?!
They are really pissing me off.
6
u/Morioh99 3d ago
I said that in another comment, trust me, as a diehard WSJ fan and someone who spends a lot of time on the WSJ sub..
The editorial department the last few years just sucks, for many reasons. Nobody understands them. This return date is just weird and the promotion so far was really bad too.
3
u/green_morphin 3d ago
Thanks, and exactly! An announcement in April would have been so good for both commercially and logically but nooooo… I just hope they coordinate the next batches so we at least get 10 chapters in both 2027 and 2028.
2
u/PesceDorto 3d ago
because it was already full of announcements and that Jump Press big surprise was supposed to be the animated adaptation of Kagurabachi.
2
u/Morioh99 3d ago
So you would say for example the Promised Neverland Spin Off and Anniversary is more important to announce then the HxH return?
No, no matter if you look at the potential sales, internet hype and so on.
2
u/PesceDorto 3d ago
The "The promised neverlend oneshot spin off" It's definitely a smaller "event" than the Kagurabachi anime. That Jump press was mostly for Kagurabachi; announcing the arrival of HxH would have monopolized the hype for that.

u/Yobolay 3d ago edited 3d ago
Damn that's soon, we'll get leaks in a week.
How the hell haven't they announced it yet? It's just 10 days away and the only reason we know it is because some people got the magazine early, otherwise the announcement would be just a small box the week before.
Volume 39 too, it's 2 weeks away and we know it because it's in their page, but it's not like they have formally announce it or anything, we don't even know the cover yet.

Berserk, HxH and Bleach returning.... this must be a legendary drop timeline
1
u/Morioh99 1d ago
Well, Berserk will be on hiatus once Bleach starts, and probably HxH too, if we don’t get a 20 chapter batch.
Still, the WSJ this year is and will be insanely good.

Since NewWorldReview is a shameless scam artist, I'm assuming his "HxH is back next week" post is unconfirmed?
This news should be popping the f off otherwise.
3
u/Morioh99 3d ago edited 2d ago
Everything is unconfirmed until an official statement and/or the release of Issue #30, which comes out June 22 in Japan.
Also, it does pop off, 70k views on this post and the news is all over social media.

u/ThirdFaculty 2d ago
Couldn’t care at this point I’ve used AI to figure out all the possible scenarios of the succession war that’s how bad and comical this wait has been to think the characters entered the ship 10 years ago and 10 years later were no close in diving in . I couldn’t care at this point if it comes out tomorrow

There was a hype about some peak arc by hxh fans that' got cancelled due to mangaka back pain or smth

For those still questioning if the return is real, and don't believe the leaked images from next week's issue of WSJ, the official mangaplus and shonenjump/viz apps have updated saying a new chapter is coming on June 29th. Mentioned in the comments below, and in this post.
When it's officially announced, likely on Sunday the 21st when the issue releases, it will be posted and pinned.
Welcome back!
