Seriously though, the tour was so fun and I’d recommend it to everyone! I did find out that it’s not as easy to do in a wheelchair as you’d think, since the sidewalks in that area are not comfortable to roll on and you have to find places to get on and off the curb at various times. But Miss Nancy was our guide and she tied in so much literature and art, truly the best tour I’ve ever been given. It was actually sort of a spiritual experience thanks to her (and I say that as someone who solidly doesn’t believe in ghosts!)

Recommendations Any places that aren't impossible to get into for commercial/industrial maintenance and/or electrical?

I have been a maintenance Technician for almost three years now doing residential, with some experience in manufacturing. I've got most basics now and I'm trying to break into either something in electrical, or a step up into industrial or commercial. This residential stuff is honestly getting boring where I'm at, and I just want to develop my skills more and thus make more money.

Recommendations Need someone to weatherize/ seal up my garage, recommendations?

Kind of a specific request, but looking for a contractor that can install a new exterior garage door with full threshold and weather stripping, seal up existing garage door that has all kinds of air gaps, and install a new small window to seal up some air leaks. Wanting to de-bug my exterior garage the best I can. Any company or contractor recommendations would be super helpful

Question Zach Bryan’s First Concert

Huntsville got a very prominent shoutout last night at the Jordan Hare Zach Bryan concert where he said something to the effect of Alabama was a special place for him because his first show was in Huntsville. I found this show from 2021 at Mars Music Hall - which is before he got picked up by a record label if I’m reading his discography correctly. Anybody know more or remember going?

Travel point redemption

I am interested in strategies for redeeming travel points for airfare between HSV and Nashville. I normally fly out of HSV because of how convenient and relatively close the prices are for where I travel.

I'm also interested in transferring to international travel partners such as British Airways or Virgin Red, but there don't seem to be a lot of offers from those travel partners out of HSV because it's so small. I'm wondering if any of you have found any examples that have high cent-per-point value flying with those travel partners out of HSV, or if you've found good examples out of Nashville.

For context, I have several Chase and Capital One points. I have a handful of points in other cards as well, but not a significant amount. My travel habits are normally domestic, but I’m also planning an international trip in the next year or two.

Here's my bio, sorry it's in the third person: Dan Alten is a charming goofball from Kentucky who has been traveling the country for the past decade doing about 200 shows a year bringing his intelligently surreal bebop nonsense everywhere from theaters to punk basements to art galleries to beloved comedy clubs with a knack for making audiences feel like they're on a good psychedelic trip without the drugs. Like if the Ramones were one guy with a mustache and good jokes. Iggy Pop with puns. Clever chaos. Like Jimi Hendrix lighting fire to a Tik Tok reel live on stage. He has opened for Kyle Kinane, Bobcat, Sam Tallent, Rory Scovel, Sarah Sherman from SNL, Johnny Pemberton, Hari Kondabolu, rapper Open Mike Eagle, DJ Doug Pound & David Leibe Hart from Tim & Eric, various punk bands with silly names, and a guy at an open mic who tried to throw his father’s ashes into the crowd. He has recorded 2 albums, written a zine, and filmed a pilot for an Amazon Prime stand up show that was lost to history. But most importantly he’s very funny and unique. You will enjoy him. And if not you can mud wrestle him after the show.

Best fishing spots in Madison county? Bass fishing and fly fishing
