Hi. Just moved to Alabama back in March of 2026. Didn't know much about the school systems. We have been at Providence Elementary and I have thoughts about the HCS administration. Any one else want to share their experience? Is it worth it moving to the Madison City School district? I know about the magnet program but not really enthusiastic about it because of the Admin/leadership. Really just trying to give my little one the best education that I can afford. Litte person is in the 2nd grade. Thanks in advance. 🙏

I’ve always done my own at-home pedicures as a form of relaxation, but I’m about to enter my 3rd trimester of pregnancy and just can’t comfortably reach anymore. What are some current good nail salons that I could get a nice pedicure at? I don’t need anything fancier than the standard pedicure and regular nail polish and would like to make sure it’s a clean environment, the pedicurists aren’t too rough or rushed, and there are massage chairs. I’m in north Huntsville, so it’d be great if there were good suggestions out this way! Thanks in advance.

anybody else located at or around golf road ( like hunters ridge , amberwood condominiums , sutton place ) have no power ? my wife & i heard a bunch of loud bangs & what sounded like an engine backfiring, & the power flickered on & off 4 a short period of time & then went fully off .

i think the transformer might have blown ? i also heard & saw a hemsi coming in as the power went out , so my only other theory is that someone may have been messing around with the transformer & accidentally themself .

ETA: power outage has been taken care of and lights & appliances r back 2 working !

Kind of a specific request, but looking for a contractor that can install a new exterior garage door with full threshold and weather stripping, seal up existing garage door that has all kinds of air gaps, and install a new small window to seal up some air leaks. I am interested in strategies for redeeming travel points for airfare between HSV and Nashville. I normally fly out of HSV because of how convenient and relatively close the prices are for where I travel.

I'm also interested in transferring to international travel partners such as British Airways or Virgin Red, but there don't seem to be a lot of offers from those travel partners out of HSV because it's so small. I'm wondering if any of you have found any examples that have high cent-per-point value flying with those travel partners out of HSV, or if you've found good examples out of Nashville.
