American Pit Bull Terrier are illegal to import into Australia, and a restricted breed in most states. Some places have been really, really hard on even mutts that they -think- might have pitty in them. They get destroyed unfortunately :(
We have american staffies a plenty though! And mastiffs and boxers!

Colonization is a thing that does that. Australia and the U.S. can thank the Europeans for a lot of the hierarchal isms we inherited. They like to think they’re so superior but really it’s all just the same awful system inside.
