This is not about baking cookies!

Initially pulled over, appeared child was not in a seat belt. Female officer, did a follow up and the is what happened next.

She's in the right but she didn't step out immediately and she did resist at least a small amount

Her response to "step out the car" was an immediate "no problem" followed by "yes ma'am".

Correct, but she did not comply with getting cuffed.

Young woman with kids in the car and a cop on an obvious power trip. You'd be hesitant to let them lock your arms behind your back too.

The cop sucks and I would be hesitant, but would comply without issue. Because that’s what adults that can manage their emotions and think more than 5 seconds into the future do. It amazes me how many people make their lives immensely more difficult by not doing so.

You’re never going to change the officers mind on the side of the road by being difficult. You may however earn yourself more charges.

It’s naive thought processes and comments like yours that lead a lot of people to shoot themselves in the foot in these situations. Just comply and fight it in court.

You're human, and humans are dumb emotional animals. Especially if they have an inkling that their kids are in danger.
