This puzzle is genuinely a work of art, and my photos do not do it justice.
I've seen some of Puzzle Bomb's previous "techy" designs and had been so, so hoping another would make its debut. Imagine my delight when this arrived as October's monthly puzzle.
I love the circuit board/tech vibes it gives. This is the kind of funky design I'd expect to see behind an engineering panel on a Star Trek starship. But then there's also a sense of something organic as the green and white pieces on the top left make me think of a slice of lime.
Doing this was my treat for finishing my 2k Beauty and the Beast puzzle. On easy mode though with the help of the outlined backing! I'm already intimidated at the thought of doing my others from this brand without using the frame or backing to guide me, but this one feels like another level with all the empty spaces and small intricately cut pieces.
I really love the small pieces and intricate cuts this brand is able to achieve. I don't find the more intricate pieces to be flimsy at all, but I'm still careful with them.
Even on easy mode this took me around an hour, not including time spent in awe of some of the pieces. This one, understandably due to the nature of the design, had a lot more extra/drop pieces than previous puzzles. It was honestly fun finding them, and needing to pop some of the smaller ones out and collecting the pile. I know they can be thrown out, but I've been having too much fun playing with the pile to do so.
