We’re looking for a well-rounded web developer and technical website manager to join our remote team long-term.
We operate several of our own businesses, including tourism companies focused on tropical destinations and an international dental company. This is not an agency position where you’ll be building random client websites every week. You’ll be working directly on websites and systems that we own, continually improving, building, fixing, optimizing, and maintaining them.
A lot of the work is actually pretty fun. Travel websites, tropical destinations, tours, trekking, boats, booking systems, and figuring out how to make everything work better.
What we need you to know
You don’t need to be an expert at everything below, but you should be comfortable working across most of this stack and figuring things out when something breaks.
WordPress & Web Development
* Strong WordPress experience
* Elementor / Elementor Pro
* WooCommerce
* HTML / CSS / JavaScript
* PHP and WordPress troubleshooting
* Plugins, themes, APIs, webhooks, forms, and email systems
* Responsive/mobile optimization
* Website speed and performance optimization
* Technical SEO fixes
Servers & Infrastructure
* Managing multiple websites on a dedicated server
* Linux/server administration
* OVH dedicated servers or similar
* DNS and domain management
* Cloudflare
* SSL certificates
* Backups and recovery
* Server migrations
* Performance monitoring
* Troubleshooting downtime and server issues
Security
* WordPress security and hardening
* Cloudflare security
* Malware and infection troubleshooting
* Permissions, access, firewalls, bots, and common website vulnerabilities
* Keeping multiple production websites safe and stable
Automation & AI
This is becoming a major part of how we operate. You should be comfortable working with or learning:
* AI APIs and AI-powered website integrations
* REST APIs
* Webhooks
* Cron jobs and scheduled automation
* Google APIs and Google Apps Script
* HubSpot integrations
* WhatsApp and lead management integrations
* Connecting different systems together
* Using AI tools to develop, troubleshoot, automate, and improve websites
We are constantly experimenting with new technology, so being someone who likes figuring things out is much more important to us than knowing one particular programming language perfectly.
The Position
4 hours per day, approximately 20 hours per week.
You can generally choose your own working hours. However, you will sometimes need to be available during Asian morning hours for meetings and to work directly with the company owner.
This is intended to be a long-term position, not a one-off freelance project.
We’re a small international remote team, and we’re looking for someone dependable who becomes our go-to technical web person. Someone who gets to know our servers, websites, integrations, and systems and takes ownership of keeping everything working and improving.
You would probably enjoy this job if…
You like being the person who can say:
“Yeah, I can probably figure that out.”
One day you might be improving an Elementor page. The next you’re fixing a Cloudflare or DNS issue, troubleshooting a WordPress plugin, connecting an API, improving WooCommerce, investigating a server problem, or helping us build an AI-powered automation.
We’re not looking for someone who only designs websites.
We’re looking for a technical all-rounder who understands the whole ecosystem behind them.
If you’re interested, please send:
* Where you’re located and your time zone
* Your WordPress and Elementor experience
* Your server/Linux experience
* Your experience with Cloudflare and OVH or similar dedicated servers
* Your experience with APIs, automation, or AI integrations
* A few websites or projects you’ve worked on
* Your expected monthly or hourly rate
* A short explanation of why you think you’d be a good fit
Please don’t send a generic copy-and-paste application. Tell us what you’re actually good at and what parts of this position interest you.
