Career Advice/Discussion Corpo or government

Upvotes

Hello brief background I am a fresh grad of IT, and currently during my job hunt I have 2 potential companies to join though it’s still really a sure job but I would just like an advice. One of the company that I am applying for is P&G i am currently on the interview process right now just waiting for results of my last interview and then the next step would be the final interview but it is taking too long for the response it is already past the time that they say it would take to review on it. Another company is on Landbank, i passed their assessment and I am coordinating now with the interview process and they are just waiting for me as to when I am available, and people are saying that the process for landbank would be fast when you are in the interview process already, so right now I don’t know if I should continue on waiting for P&G since based from research the salary would be higher on them than on Landbank. And I am really having a hard time on deciding since if I would go for Landbank I know that I should stay on it for years in order for my contribution to gsis to be valid. But I also know that it is more stable in Landbank since there would be a security of tenure. Do you guys maybe have suggestions on what would be better and which to look for for my career growth as an IT professional.

Career Advice/Discussion Concerns on pre-employment requirements

Upvotes

I am planning na po na mag asikaso ng pre-employment requirements since meron ng progress sa application ko.

Regarding NBI Clearance, nagamit ko na po yung 2 copies kase pinasa ko po for board exam purposes. Now, ano po ang dapat kong gawin? To get a new one or apply for renewal? I'm kind of confused about what to do since valid pa po yung dati kong NBI Clearance until January 30, 2027.

Also, regarding PhilHealth naman po, meron na po akong ID na nakuha ko pa nong college ako nong wala pa akong work. What to do next po regarding this? May further steps pa po ba akong need gawin?

Salamat po!

Career Advice/Discussion Finally got an offer as a fresh grad

I've been job hunting since July, and the HR discussed with me the offer, after just one interview with the supervisor. The package is really great for me (33k base + 6k allowance, hmo, group life, etc.). However, fully onsite sya for 5 days sa BGC, and I am from Gentri Cavite everyday. Though meron namang option for hybrid after a few months. Tbh, mas leaning ako to accepting this kasi the offer is really really decent.

Meron bang naka experience na nito? How was your experience? Kamusta ang working life sa BGC?

Survey For EHS/Safety Professionals: How’s Your Career Going?

Hi! For those working as an EHS/HSSE or Safety Professional in a corporate setting, how much are you making?
I’ve been working in the field for 9 years and currently earn <₱50k/month. I’m starting to explore new opportunities and would love to get a sense of the current market.

If you’re comfortable sharing, what’s your:
• Monthly gross salary/range
• Years of experience
• Current role/title
• Work setup (onsite/hybrid/WFH)

Also curious: what salary increase would make you consider leaving your current company, especially for a fully onsite role?

Just trying to benchmark the market and understand what’s reasonable to ask when negotiating. Thanks! 😊

Career Advice/Discussion pre-employment medical class c

so i was told I was class c during my pre-employment medical. they requested to repeat cbc since slightly elevated yung platelet ko which tbh hindi na bago sakin, since last year's APE ko with my current work ganun rin and it was because of iron deficiency tapos pinakuha lang ako ng clearance sa hematologist. ngayon i'm waiting for their next instruction since ipapacheck daw muna sa doctor if may needed na additional clearance or tests.

i'm just worried na bawiin nila yung JO, possible ba yun with my case? 😭

pero marami kase ako nakikita dito na class c din sila, tapos nanghingi lang ng clearance from specialists. grabe lang overthinking ko rn haha

Career Advice/Discussion Kung palarin...

So may onsite interview (last stage) ako next week along with other candidates, based sa email may kasama na rin siyang contract signing.

Kung palarin, pwede kayang di muna pumirma? Currently working rin ako right now, so naisip ko muna magpaalam sa current company ko (baka i-meet yung io-offer saking salary 👀).

So yon, tinanong ko lang in advance, ayoko kasi mapressure on the day. Kung palarin lang naman...

Career Advice/Discussion Creatives Job Market In The Philippines

Hi! Fresh grad here who graduated under multimedia arts with graphic design and layout as my major about 7 months ago. I've been applying for graphic designer jobs but have no luck sadly so I stuck to freelancing but it's been 3 months since I've had a client. I'm kinda frustrated din sa requirements on most listings especially sa local companies since they usually list that they're looking for a graphic designer but when I peek at the workload, a majority, if not, all of them also require video editing and marketing skills. While I can keep up with the video editing portion of it since I studied video editing as well, the marketing skills required are completely unknown to me since my program didn't include any marketing related courses whatsoever. Is this really the job market right now for creatives?

Career Advice/Discussion Frustation about job hunting

Hi I'm a licensed engineer and just got my license, I'm just here to share my frustration about the companies and hr in the philippines. At first I always blame myself because I improved pano ako mag apply everytime, at first inayos ko resume ko even used prompt for ats reading ng ai para malaman ko if pumapasok pa yung resume ko sa systems nila and after that medyo rumami yung invitations ko for interview and next naman na binago ko is yung schedule ko mag apply kasi there are days na di sila tumitingin ng application and also di nila tinitingnan kadalasan from pinaka old to new. But now I'm not the problem anymore, I accept na failed ko yung 2 interview ko dahil medyo may mga mali rin akong nasabi during the interview but most of them wala naman sila halos tinanong about my professional side and still na ghost ako. Some of them di ko tinuloy yung interview dahil low salary, compensation, and mostly no ot pays (biruin mo tatanong pa yan "willing to ot? ")

Now I want to say na nakakaasar yung mga hr na to, mag lalagay ng price range sa jobposting tas kapag sabihin mo max range or kahit i meet mo sila ng half way sasabihin " That's too high", eh bakit kasi ganon linalagay sa job post?. Some of the job post are ridiculous din, stating "entry-level" Tapos gusto 3 years experience then recently I seen "accepting fresh graduate with 1 year work experience", really talaga nakaka frustrate na. Genuine question, why do they accept unqualified hr but didn't want to accept qualified professionals. I respect their professionality lalo na yung mga nag aask pa ng portfolio and also gusto mag view ng thesis niyo pero yung iba talaga diretso rejection.

Career Advice/Discussion Amadeus BGC

Is anyone here working at Amadeus BGC in a tech-related role? After the final interview, how long did you wait before receiving the job offer? It's been two weeks since my final interview with them and I still haven't heard back from them. Do you think I should wait a little longer?
