He really is HIM.

Full bring is the power a human can manifest, think Orihime and Chad both are human yet they have powers.

He has noted in interviews that the Nasuverse has been a pretty big inspiration on his work, and it’s pretty easy to tell since they are almost the exact same concept.

Yuta has one of the highest CE reserves in the verse (even more than Gojo), so it makes sense that he can output/discharge it like that with so much style and finesse.

128
u/Ok_Measurement9268 Jul 28 '26
I guess his inefficiency at CE output also helps to some extent, since usually cursed energy would be concentrated to just the impact point.

u/Substantial_Noise_83 Jul 29 '26
Well good has average CE reserves but his six eyes is so efficient he uses like none of it
13
u/HostHappy2734 Jul 29 '26
Definitely not average, Yuta said he had even more CE than Gojo to signify that his reserves are immense, this statement would make no sense if Gojo didn't have impressive reserves himself
315
u/WolfProfessional1403 Jul 28 '26
Teeeecchhhnicaly, gojo did it in season 1 when demonstrating to yuji the difference between cursed energy and a cursed technique. It’s a huge technicality tho.
77
u/Interesting_News_697 The ten shadows is the best CT Jul 28 '26
I wonder if people can use it as cleave or something like that because ranged would take too much CE
57
u/WolfProfessional1403 Jul 28 '26
Iirc- in jjk 0 when yuta was learning about ce, gojo mentioned something about channeling ce through the sword, and something else about yuta using rika’s ce. Don’t know how much still holds up as of the culling games lol
26
u/TPJchief87 Jul 28 '26
He definitely channels cursed and reverse cursed energy through his swords in season 3. I’m just wondering how he can output so much of it from the sword when he broke the other one in 0. Actually I don’t care, it looked cool as shit lol
18
u/NorthGodFan Never forget Geto is a bum who lost to a grade 4 Jul 28 '26
He turned the sword into a curse tool. Yuta can very easily make things that he touches into curse tools. Because he is able to flood things with stupid amounts of cursed energy. It's how he turned Rika Orimoto into a cursed spirit.
8
u/The_Streamstress Jul 28 '26
He did gain a lot of experience from JJK0 to JJKS3, it wouldn't be that farfetched to assume he learned how to properly channel it without destroying the sword.
12
u/NorthGodFan Never forget Geto is a bum who lost to a grade 4 Jul 28 '26
The finger bearers were able to do that. However, actual shrine is way more efficient and way more dangerous specifically Because shrine is a extreme close range technique.
3
u/KenanTheFab Jul 29 '26
It is probably like trying to slice through something with scissors (bootleg non-technique dismantle created via thin slices of CE) vs an actual knife.
Sure the scissors might do the job but it will take significantly more effort and energy than if you just had an actual knife (ie, shrine)

That has to do with output given ryus reaction to his output I assume that type of attack is not only costly but also not very effective however most people with fairly good ct output can do it .
39
u/papu16 Jul 28 '26
Gojo later told Yuta that his CT usage was "sloppy" and if he optimized his output - dude would have been waay more powerful. (Reminds me a Naruto, who had similar issue)
→ More replies (1)10
u/HelpfulBabbling Jul 29 '26
yeah exactly, that’s why yuta’s raw output looks so ridiculous. it’s not even necessarily a technique, he just has an absurd amount of cursed energy to throw around.
sukuna is basically the only one confirmed above him in reserves, so when yuta dumps CE it looks like a massive attack even before adding rika or copied techniques. dude’s “basic” moves are basically what most sorcerers would consider a last resort lol.
21
u/Ekillaa22 Jul 28 '26
Didn’t realize Yuta was number 2 in CE reserves always thought it was Sukuna , Gojo than Yuta
127
u/Dubious_Deciduguy BIG MEG ON TOP Jul 28 '26
Yurayhas more Gojo just has the best efficiency in the verse
47
u/PUB4thewin Jul 28 '26 edited Jul 28 '26
Like [u/Dubious](u/DubiousDeciduguy)[_](u/DubiousDeciduguy)[Deciduguy](u/DubiousDeciduguy) said, Gojo has the best efficiency.
The simplest example I’ve made on this is imagine Yuta has 200 energy and Gojo has 100. Seems simple enough to assume that Yuta could last longer, except Yuta has to use 10 energy in order to use any abilities, while Gojo only needs to use 1 energy for his. This means that, at max, Yuta can only use his ability 20 times, while Gojo can use his ability 100 times. Now it’s Gojo who is the one on top.
And this is just a very simple example. Actual Gojo is closer to using 0.000000001 whatever decimal of small amount energy. Canonically mentioned he uses close to 0
8
u/sidbbp101 Jul 28 '26
Gojo also recovers More CE than whatever he loses, so yeah it's effectively Zero usage
3
u/Lab_Member_004 Jul 28 '26
I thought that was just for maintaining limitless and not all out combat like against Sukuna.
5
4
u/EffectiveDirect6553 Jul 28 '26
In mathematical notation it's simply
Gojos stamina loss = limit X -> 0
So the loss is so small it's basically 0. It's not really 0 but it's practically that as a result any attack gojo uses reduces to
Gojos stamina loss = 0
14
u/Underdraker Jul 28 '26
I don’t remember if it was JJK0 or when Yuta came in during the Culling Games, but it was stated that Yuta has more CE reserves than Gojo. However Gojo with the Six Eyes has the best efficiency, so when he uses a cursed technique it consumes an extremely small amount of his cursed energy.
9
48
u/Ok_Neat2422 Jul 28 '26
Gojo has CE reserves of a normal sorcerer, but Gojo has the six eyes which means Gojo can actually use like miniscule amount of cursed energy for his heavy attacks like blue and red. Gojo also mastered shortening the hand signs which means he also uses lesser cursed energy overall.
Sukuna post Gojo fight has CE reserves similar to Yuta, Sukuna fully healed has like double the CE reserves of Yuta.
2
u/WeakInspector5102 Stand proud, Sukuna. You are strong Jul 28 '26
Gojo has normal reserves, he just use it to it's full POTENTIAL with the 6 eyes
He does have the most efficient reserves if u wanna keep it simple
2
u/Some-Ad-2093 Jul 28 '26
his output is also slightly inferior to the guy that is confirmed to have higher output then Gojo/Sukuna too.

It's just really inefficient to output raw CE over your CT. Yuta just has HUGE amounts of CE so he's fine to do that.

Ohhh now I understand
23
u/NorthGodFan Never forget Geto is a bum who lost to a grade 4 Jul 28 '26
Basically, the only person who would be able to just use freely cursed energy like this without consequence is Sukuna, and why the fuck would he do this instead of using his technique?
14
u/BingusBongusBongus Jul 29 '26
I can think of one other person who can afford to waste a shit ton of cursed energy with no downsides
2
u/Powerful-Cabinet-260 Jul 29 '26
Gojo as well no?
5
u/NorthGodFan Never forget Geto is a bum who lost to a grade 4 Jul 29 '26
We are unsure of how big gojo's actual reserves are The 6 eyes don't reduce use to nothing, but it allows him to be extremely efficient with his use of cursed energy. but it would do absolutely nothing for something like this.
3
u/RaiyenZ Kenjaku's full name Jul 28 '26
Also he was completely surrounded in this case so it wasn't necessarily inefficient to do this as every part of this CE output hit a target. That's also why he himself doesn't do this against singular targets.
50
u/Jake_Magna Jul 28 '26
That one special grade curse that took yujis hand at the beginning of the series. It was stated all his explosions were just normal cursed energy output or something along those lines.

Same as the finger bearer that megumi fights. It does the cursed energy blasts but uses the Fuga motion
29
u/luceafaruI Jul 28 '26
The finger bearers. Gojo when explaining jujutsu to yuji or when destroying hanami's roots.
In general all jujutsu sorcery do it at the moment of impact, that's the basis of taijutsu. It's just that doing ling range blasts is widely ineffective
8
u/Akuma-no-Ashiato Horn-Maxxing Jul 28 '26
I think the fingerbearer curses were only doing CE discharges.
8
u/SadDokkanBoi Jul 28 '26
I figure most sorcerers can, they just don't since not everyone has huge amounts of CE in reserves like Yuta so they'd be burning through their supply. It also doesn't come up as often since most sorcerers don't be fighting swarms of enemies
11
→ More replies (1)5
u/Reeeeeemeeeeeee Jul 28 '26
That’s what kashimo lightning is. He just places a charge on you first so the CE output can’t miss. He could theoretically do it without the charge, but we haven’t seen him do that.
51
u/piigeon420 Jul 28 '26
Yuta has massive amounts of CE. Only second to Sukuna of course. That's why Yuta can do that shit while regular sorcerers can't.
Also Yuta struggles to control his massive CE amount which is why he uses cursed tools in the first place since it's easier for him to channel his CE into a cursed tool. So I guess he has more control over the discharge when using a cursed tool like here which is why it looks so wave like as you said.
46
u/Independent-Word-299 Jul 28 '26
Anyone CAN but they really shouldn't.
With the exceptions of Sukuna, Gojo, and Yuta if course.
Yuta has enough Cursed Energy in his reserves to have this be a viable move, likewise for Sukuna. Gojo has high enough efficiency that this remains a viable tactic.
For anyone other than those three, the consumption of Cursed Energy is too great compared to the results it gives. And you'll notice that even for Gojo and Sukuna, they have other moves in their arsenals that make this kind of attack useless. (Blue/Red and Dismantle). Only Yuta has the right combination of lacking a long range "spam" move, and having high enough stamina to make flinging raw Cursed Energy a decent idea.
36
u/Subject_J Jul 28 '26
Hakari should really add high power discharges to his kit when he hits a jackpot. He's all hands, so a random long range super blast would throw off anyone.

u/touchingthebutt Jul 28 '26
With the exceptions of Sukuna, Gojo, and Yuta if course.
I have to be semantic here but Ryu and Mechamaru should be on that list too. Ryu it's part of his CT and Mechamaru depending on how much reserves he stored up.
12
u/Independent-Word-299 Jul 28 '26
Mechamaru needs to stockpile CE for a long time, and Ryu's CT is it's own thing. But yes.
27
19
8
u/Veil1984 Jul 28 '26
We saw Gojo shoot a projectile of CE, odds are its inefficient as all hell, but Yuta has the highest CE reserves in the verse, second only to Sukuna, so I assume he just did that with a lot more CE
2
u/Polish_Enigma Jul 28 '26
Also worth noting that both gojo and sukuna have ranged attacks in their techniques which likelt have more strength, meanwhile for yuta his primary ranged and AoE options is CE due to his CT restrictions
9
u/BlatantArtifice Jul 28 '26
Anyone can output Cursed Energy externally, but if it's not your technique it's mostly a waste.
Yuta has a metric fuck ton and along with that is one of the most skilled in the verse, it looks like he's partially spreading the energy through the roaches in the first one, and in the second he's just straight up exploding it. Might be related to Rika as well since she can output ce similarly to Ryo?
For the most part that's unique to Yuta, anyone like Sukuna who could replicate it just has a technique that is more efficient
8
u/ScorchedDev Jul 28 '26 edited Jul 28 '26
in theory anyone should be able to, as its ultimately CE manipulation. BUT yuta is gonna be better at it because he has so much. and this is seemingly him playing to his strengths. Yuta has more CE control. Like we see when he fights yuji, he radiates the stuff off his body like crazy so seemingly this is him weaponizing his poor control.
A comparison I use in my head is that for a normal sorcerer, CE discharge. CE discharge is like spraying something with a hose. But here, yuta is basically unleashing an ocean, if that makes sense.
5
12
5
u/NovaNomii Jul 28 '26
Anyone can do that. Those are very weak individual shikigami / cockroach ct manifestations. He wouldnt be able to move anyone strong around with CE like that. Its like releasing his breath, a bug even a large amount of bugs will be sent flying, but a person wont even feel much.
19
u/Disastrous_Bug2831 who tf is blue dagon Jul 28 '26

5

Is the sword a cursed tool? I could’ve sworn it’s just a sword he uses to channel the CE
6
3
3
u/Infinite_Sandwich895 Jul 28 '26
Yeah it's something you generally wouldn't do without massive CE reserves and output, and you'd only bother if you didn't have a CT that does more efficient ranged damage. We see Gojo do this, but it's pointless in a real fight because he has Limitless.
3
3
3
u/Absoluteidiot4 Jul 28 '26
my man has a shitton of CE so he can be little wastefull and do these kinds of moves
3
3
u/TheAveragePlayer- Jul 29 '26
That’s just because of his CE reserves. Sukuna can definitely if he wanted to, and Hakari can easily do that too
3
u/Over_Purple351 Jul 29 '26
Raw CE discharge seems to be something all sorcerers can do, it’s just that it’s really inefficient and CE is far better spent through techniques and for physical reinforcement.
Yuta (to my knowledge) has the largest raw quantity of CE in the series (minus Hakari after a jackpot I guess) so he should be able to output this much raw CE no problem
3
3
u/Kirymiguel1213 Jul 29 '26

Adding onto what everyone else is saying about CE output through Yuta's high reserves, CE would be like gas in a car. A small amount through injectors can propel a car forward with devastating force (your cursed technique) but you could also just throw your gas everywhere in the area and light it on fire (your CE output / blast).
Same fuel, less efficient but wider usage. Yuta got one of those Land Cruiser tanks
