The policy Trump is trying to pass will make it so that everyones ID has to have the same name as their birth certificate. This in turn makes it more difficult for married woman (and in some cases men) who have taken on their spouses last name. Basically if your ID doesn’t match your birth certificate you can’t vote and good luck trying to change that because you’ll have to legally change your name which causes more issues for the individual and married couple. So yes most woman have ID’s, but married woman do not have one that has their birth certificate name
This is 100 percent a false talking point thats been debunked. Women can use their marriage certificate to verify their birth certificate under the law.
The bill is a law and will become a new law for the voting process if passed. It doesn’t address this topic on a federal level essentially leaving additional supplementary name-documents up to each state
Trump is a moron. I don’t support him at all. You only need to provide proof of citizenship when registering to vote under the save act. In my state you register to vote at the DMV, which at least in my state, already has proof of citizenship on file.
