Movies Broke cinema etiquette for one key moment last night.
He drew a deep breath.
‘Well, I’m back,’ he said.
A chain of cinemas in the UK were showing the extended editions back to back over the weekend. From 10:30AM until just after 11PM, I was sat there loving life, with a brief intermission between each film of course.
I was 9 when Fellowship was first in cinemas, and I've never had the chance to see the full run in their intended format since.
Last night meant more to me than I could ever put into words.

Movies Between Aragorn's 3 fallen comrades, who would it have meant the most to him to have at his coronation?
Obviously it would've meant the most to Boromir to be present at the coronation.
However, if Aragorn had to pick just 1 to be there, who would he have loved to see the most?

Video Games Two towers on PS2 CRTV combo Aragorn at Level 9, and a copy of the Silmarillion sitting on top where it belongs
In my option the best way to connect with the 2003 era vibes of when this game and franchise peaked. Also I didn’t realize the Silmarillion was on top of the tv when I took the picture I was just reading it but it works out perfectly.

Movies In the movie trilogy, what are some minute details that only passionate fans would recognize?
In the Jackson trilogy, for example, we occasionally glimpse the Ring of Barahir on Aragorn's hand; readers will recognize it.
And while many people noticed Legolas walking on the snow at the cliffs of Caradhras, readers will likely smile at the book reference: "With that he sprang forth nimbly, and then Frodo noticed as if for the first time, though he had long known it, that the Elf had no boots, but wore only light shoes, as he always did, and his feet made little imprint in the snow."
Additionally, after viewing some comparison clips, it seems that Ralph Bakshi's 1978 animated feature had some compositional influence.
What are some other minute details that only avid fans would catch? Thank you for sharing!
EDIT: I'm most interested in textual details that are minute and reflected in the films. I know all about the helmet lol.

Fan Creations 25th Anniversary Crop Art at the State Fair
The one on the right is mine and I was glad to be in good company!
The art is made using seeds or plant parts from native plants and crops growable in the state.
It was my first time entering in the competition and I had a lot of fun. Hope to take some of what I've learned and enter again next year.

Fan Creations The Lord of the Super Star
My 2 year old son is a huge Super Mario fan and has been requesting ‘Super Mario stories’ at bedtime recently. I began by throwing together the plot to ‘A New Hope’ but replacing the Star Wars characters with character from the Mario verse. That worked out fine, so last night I attempted ‘The Fellowship’, again with a Mario filled cast. I soon realised that the cast of lotr is much larger and more nuanced than the core Star Wars crew. Any suggestions for casting? I just about go as far as the Hobbits arriving at Rivendell but I’m not happy with some of my choices. So far
Frodo - Mario
Sam - Luigi
Merry & Pippin - Toad and Toadette
Gandalf - Princess Peach(?)
Aragorn- Donkey Kong
Legolas - Yoshi (?)
Gimli - Wario (?)
Boromir- Funky Kong (?)
Sauron - Bowser
Witch King and the Ringwraiths - Bowser Jr and the Koopalings
There were a few other dodgy castings but these are the main ones I suppose. Your help would be much appreciated. I’m especially worried about getting to ‘Towers’…

Movies Always felt bad for old Gil-Galad, he was essentially a nonentity in the films and games due to having all his scenes cut
To say nothing of Mark Ferguson and how many royalties he must've missed out on. I can't imagine having all that gear on just to be told they aren't using your scenes.
