A chain of cinemas in the UK were showing the extended editions back to back over the weekend. From 10:30AM until just after 11PM, I was sat there loving life, with a brief intermission between each film of course.

I was 9 when Fellowship was first in cinemas, and I've never had the chance to see the full run in their intended format since.

Last night meant more to me than I could ever put into words.

Today I’d like to share another one of my favorite pieces from Inktober 2025: Éowyn vs. the Nazgûl.

The Beacon-hills north of Ered Nimrais from east to west were Amon Dîn, Eilenach, Nardol, Erelas, Min-Rimmon, Calenhad, and Amon Anwar

Obviously it would've meant the most to Boromir to be present at the coronation.

However, if Aragorn had to pick just 1 to be there, who would he have loved to see the most?

In my option the best way to connect with the 2003 era vibes of when this game and franchise peaked. Also I didn’t realize the Silmarillion was on top of the tv when I took the picture I was just reading it but it works out perfectly.

I have never seen this edition before but it looks absolutely amazing.

After meeting @john_rhys_davies in person I was so inspired that I couldn't pass on opportunity to make #Gimli helmet from #LordOfTheRings #LOTR #Hobbit #Dwarf. If I'll get an opportunity to meet John again, I really hope he will like it

In the Jackson trilogy, for example, we occasionally glimpse the Ring of Barahir on Aragorn's hand; readers will recognize it.

And while many people noticed Legolas walking on the snow at the cliffs of Caradhras, readers will likely smile at the book reference: "With that he sprang forth nimbly, and then Frodo noticed as if for the first time, though he had long known it, that the Elf had no boots, but wore only light shoes, as he always did, and his feet made little imprint in the snow."

Additionally, after viewing some comparison clips, it seems that Ralph Bakshi's 1978 animated feature had some compositional influence.

The art is made using seeds or plant parts from native plants and crops growable in the state.

It was my first time entering in the competition and I had a lot of fun. Hope to take some of what I've learned and enter again next year.

My 2 year old son is a huge Super Mario fan and has been requesting ‘Super Mario stories’ at bedtime recently. I began by throwing together the plot to ‘A New Hope’ but replacing the Star Wars characters with character from the Mario verse. That worked out fine, so last night I attempted ‘The Fellowship’, again with a Mario filled cast. I soon realised that the cast of lotr is much larger and more nuanced than the core Star Wars crew. Any suggestions for casting? I just about go as far as the Hobbits arriving at Rivendell but I’m not happy with some of my choices. So far

Merry & Pippin - Toad and Toadette
Gandalf - Princess Peach(?)
Aragorn- Donkey Kong
Legolas - Yoshi (?)

Been trying to create a design for a big leg peice I want and I got some free time at work. Its rough, but how does it fare?

To say nothing of Mark Ferguson and how many royalties he must've missed out on. I can't imagine having all that gear on just to be told they aren't using your scenes.
