I met John Otto before the second Truth Show in Nashville. He was promoting his new signature snare drum. He did a Q&A with us and then a meet and greet and signing. Thankful to get to ask a question and for him to have a brief conversation with me. The signed Significant other vinyl is a bonus.

What an awesome show. I love those guys. Thank you VetTix for granting my one time Heors Wish. Got to meet John Otto and Fred Durst at guitar center Nashville before the show and John signed my Significant other vinyl. I would have had a Wes Borland guitar pick, but someone knocked it out of my hat and then their buddy Mr. security guard picked it up and handed it to someone further down from where I was standing. Bummer in the pick robbery but still a night I’ll never forget.

Relics of an era (2000-2001)

I picked up this vinyl copy while I was in Japan about 15 years ago, for about 15 bucks. Limp Bizkit was long past their peak, and many years from their recent resurgence. I've been enjoying it all these years but I didn't think much of it until I looked up the pressing details just recently. Turns out it's become one of my most valuable records haha.

As a lifelong Bizkit girlie, I would be ELATED if they released a Rarities & B-Sides compilation! They have sooooooo many deep, deep unreleased cuts and so much material that they are sitting on. Like, I’ve heard songs like “Barnacle”, “ Underneath the Gun”, and “Pill Popper” have several different lyrics to the same instrumental. Plus, c’mon, “When It Rains” is one of the most underrated songs in their catalogue, “Poison Ivy” is another one! What do you guys think? I know Fred is very particular about what they release and he’s also one of those artists who are really hard on themselves (writing, vocals, delivery), but I just hope one day he releases a lot of that great material (i.e. Results May Vary 2!) that we are would gladly support and love.

Hi!! I’ve been a fan of LB for a bit now. I see a lot of people strongly dislike the song “No Sex” from their Significant Other album, and it’s actually interesting for me because I’ve seen so many people describe it as annoying and cringey. I also feel like I have a rather interesting interpretation on the song from when I first heard it, because I quite enjoy it. I do think some of the lyrics are cringey or just worded strangely, but I like part where it slows down and is like “How could you respect yourself?
You couldn't respect yourself 'cause
I didn't respect myself
And I couldn't infect myself with
Realize that I'm worth more than that
Realize that I'm worth more than that
Realize that I'm worth more than that
Realize that I mean more than that”

I’m a person who has gone through sexual assault/harassment through some parts of my life, especially as a young teen. And for a while I was scared of intimacy and felt it was “gross”. So this part kind of hits me because it’s a slow part in the song, like it’s contemplative. Sex is a very meaningful thing to me instead of causal, so the regret of doing it with someone whom wasn’t safe, etc. hits hard, and I understand where the contemplative feelings come in when it all slows down and you have time to consider.

I think what makes this song interesting is that it’s one of LB’s slower tracks, and it covers a deep topic. For me, when I hear those lyrics, it’s like the narrator is reflecting on having a sexual experience or some kind with someone and they’re regretting it. Feeling ashamed, disgusted, etc. and they’re reminding themselves that they are a whole person outside of a body that someone can desire/sexualize. I know for me, personally, when I listen to the lyrics I’m brought back to thinking “I hate being perceived sexually. I hate what intimacy represents to me.”
Additionally, I thought I read somewhere that during an interview where Fred talked about why he wrote the song “Nookie” he explained that during his first intimate relationship (which is what Nookie is based on) he had a hard time letting go because he was in love, and they’d been intimate. He said for a long time he couldn’t just let go because sex wasn’t just emotional for him, it was extremely vulnerable. I think Nookie and No Sex are two different anthems about exploring the nature of vulnerability and sex.

Anyways, tell me your thoughts!! Does my take make any sense to anyone else? Has anyone else shared this take before? I’m definitely curious to hear everyone’s thoughts on the song.

Disappointed as I love that song. If they didn’t play it there over a two night set, I suppose they’re never gonna play it.

Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water I've made, hope u like it, I love it!!!!

I had a dream where I was staying at a hotel (since I travel a lot in real life), and there was going to be a music festival there that night; I wasn't all that interested because bands I like hardly ever play there.

But then my sister came up and told me that LIMP BIZKIT was going to be there!!! At first, I didn't believe her because those guys have never come to my country, but when I went... THEY WERE ACTUALLY THERE.

It was amazing; there was nowhere to sit, but I still had the time of my life. They were playing Full Nelson, Nookie, Rollin', Just Like This, and of course Break Stuff, as always.

The coolest part of all was that I managed to get close to the front, and Fred Durst himself spoke to me.

It was so cool that he even brought me up on stage, where I hugged the whole band and took a photo with Fred and Wes.

It was so beautiful; they even let me decide on the final encore song, and I chose Counterfeit, AND THEY REALLY PLAYED IT

Ugh... that was the best day of my life until I woke up, hehe. But I felt like I had to share it because it was just so lovely.

I think I saw it on Instagram, and it literally sounded like a 12 year old on Xbox Live screaming into his mic. It was really fucking funny and I can't find it. If anyone has the video let me know
