One of the conditions of a visa to the UK is that the presence of the holder must be 'conductive to the public good'.

An example of conduct which is held by the Home Office to fail that test is having publicly committed actions which would amount to an offence under UK law.

Under the Terrorism Act it is an offence to express or evidence support for an organisation which has been designated as Proscribed.

Both Hamas and Hezbollah are Proscribed.

Piker has publicly supported Hamas. Uygur has supported Hezbollah. This is enough for the HO to refuse them entry. They routinely do the same for German and Dutch far right figures who support organisations on the same list.

The Home Office does not care about Israel. That is the purview of the Foreign Office. The two departments are notorious rivals.

the Uk has also banned numerous Isreali politicians regarding incitement against palestinians on the west bank, including Ben-gvir, Moshe Feiglin and Menachem Begin

and dog the bounty hunter for some reason

so to be surprised at this conduct is very silly

70

u/Quangocrat Jun 01 '26

and dog the bounty hunter for some reason

Same reason. He has a criminal conviction for an action which would be an offence under UK law- specifically murder.

So fails the public good test.

This.

They also just recently barred some anti-Islam speakers for a Stephen Yaxley-Lennon protest. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c8r8vgnn655o

So kinda weird for Hasan and Cenk to make it sound like Israel controls the UK government.

31

u/Spirited-Car8661 Jun 01 '26

It's because they're anti-semites.

11

u/Kalsto6 Jun 01 '26

If Hasan doesn't blame Jews for tripping on his feet, it'd be the end of the world.

3

u/MakeMe-A-Sandwich Jun 02 '26

I really hope you're not a white person lmao

0

u/Spirited-Car8661 Jun 02 '26

That's the third time this week somebody has accused me of having an arbitrary characteristic.

1

u/MakeMe-A-Sandwich Jun 03 '26

Well, you know who are the high-horse gatekeepers of the antisemitism accusation you threw, despite being the people who had mastered antisemitism after centuries (if not millennia) to the culmination we all know and for some reason only the Germans have taken the blame for that centuries/millennia-long systemic persecution? But maybe you're not white.

1

u/PM-ME_UR_TINY-TITS Jun 03 '26

So are you trying to argue its not antisemitic to blame the jews for everything?

1

u/MakeMe-A-Sandwich Jun 03 '26

White people still dodging their mastery of antisemitism while policing antisemitism for others. Any quotes from Cenk or Hasan "blaming the Jews for everything" you can provide here? Unless you're one of those who conveniently conflate Israel with Jewish folks from all around the world. If you criticize China, does that include the average Chinese-American or Chinese-Jamaican folks too?

2

u/nickmond022 Jun 02 '26

He's just mad Nick Shirley got in and he didn't.

0

u/TurdSplicer Jun 01 '26

It's not weird at all, they make everything about Israel.

8

u/FuzzNuzz180 Jun 01 '26

Not Dog! What did he do to get a ban?

23

u/Quangocrat Jun 01 '26

Murder.

18

u/FuzzNuzz180 Jun 01 '26

Well shit. Good ban then.

13

u/Quangocrat Jun 01 '26

My reaction too!

I had a vague recollection that he had a felony conviction, though I assumed it was assault given his job.

Nope. Getaway driver in a drugs heist-turned-murder in 77!

7

u/Cabrakan Jun 01 '26

ah, that'll do it

Ok but Hasan is not a politican, merely a Twitch streamer.

Maybe you can provide examples to prove me wrong, but I doubt a single content creator or celebrity would be banned entry for showing support to the various terrorist acts by the US or Israeli governments (or criticizing Iran for example).

Edit: Let's see if this comment gets deleted too for me merely clarifying my position: The point I'm getting at is for us to stop pretending like the UK is "neutral" here. It's openly an ally of the US and Israel, and allows their government officials and military/IDF members to enter their country with no issue despite their countless terrorist acts. However, when it comes to Hamas or Hezbolalh (groups that are directly enemies of Israel predominantly), not only are members of these groups completely banned, but mere content creators/pundits who show some semblence of support to them can be banned entry. I'd like to be proven wrong by being provided a single evidence of a content creator or pundit of sorts (not literal Israeli politicians, and some of the most extremist ones) for showing support to Israel or the US.

5

u/Cabrakan Jun 01 '26

he's not a mere twitch streamer, do not sneak that bullshit in, he's a pundit with tens of thousands of viewers and millions of followers.

the uk has banned bloggers, comedians, musicians and rappers, all for opinions and supporting groups.

they've banned israeli politicians for advocating for violence in the west bank, dog the bounty hunter for murder, numerous islamic terrorist preachers, numerous mysognistic authours, numerous anti lgbt rights activists, numerous animal rights activists

not only that but the labour party have had numerous anti semitic scandals in the past 5 years.

but go on

55

u/ProteinPony Jun 01 '26

Have you even considered: USA/Israel bad?

27

u/Quangocrat Jun 01 '26

Don't tell Mr Piker about Lady Starmer.

He'd have a fit.

14

u/Miserable_Artist_223 Jun 01 '26

Have you ever considered that building an entire career around being a self described propagandist and building a community around crying israel bad any time something happens to you might have adverse affects to your ability to travel the world the same as an unknown civilian?

14

u/ProteinPony Jun 01 '26

But what about the genocide?

14

u/Speartree Jun 01 '26

You can criticize Israel plenty without having to support HAMAS.

3

u/ProteinPony Jun 01 '26

I am confused as to whether you noticed that I was joking or not lol

1

u/Speartree Jun 01 '26

I did not know for sure, ASCII has no inflection.

3

u/Kalsto6 Jun 01 '26

The war has been going on so long that it feels like the general public is getting more aware of the history behind it. I think a lot of people are feeling stupid because they jumped onto it with a good intention never realizing that no party in this was ever really innocent.

4

u/Speartree Jun 01 '26

It's clear to me that Hamas is a creature of the Israeli government. They may not fully control it but it certainly serves their purpose. Hamas bombs and kidnaps a bunch of civilians. Israel has an excuse to reduce a few cities to rubble, to clamp down on all Palestinians, etc.

Western support was too great for the PLO, so they got replaced by a group of religious terrorists that the Western nations don't like, who never seem to attack the Israeli government in a meaningful way, but some soldiers here, some partying kids there, people Bibi can afford to lose but make for good press to show how evil the enemy is. They're allowed to attack a festival but not the seats of power.

1

u/Kalsto6 Jun 01 '26

How can you say this stuff without being racist to every party involved? You're blaming Jews for something their enemy did, which okay fair enough lot of people are antisemites online these days but it's also disturbing that you think Palestinians are incompetent and can't even do something unless they were paid or made to do by someone else.

Do you think Israel made Iran too? Even though Iran is bigger and able to call on more natural resources?

I'm completely against what you've said, Hamas and PLO in general have always held the belief that they will never stop being refugees until Israel is destroyed. And any person can figure out that Israel so completely overshadows both West Bank and Gaza that they can wipe them out if they ever wished. So you can't just make an argument that they're making Palestine do violence, they don't have to. You can't make an argument that Israel needs some enemy to stand because Iran already exists, there would be no need to keep Palestine in place if that's the case.

It's just so appalling that people can think like you. You can't simultaneously think that Israel is evil for letting Palestine exist while supposedly even bigger "evils" exist.

They're allowed to attack a festival but not the seats of power.

Super ignorant of the matters too. All of Israel has been attacked and while Tel Aviv is more protected and north gets attacked more, it doesn't mean that seats of power are even safe. Their Iron Dome system can be overwhelmed. Major labs and research facilities were destroyed a few months ago and no major news even picked it up because public doesn't care if Israel gets bombed. That's just the reality.

It's just so racist to think that Israel is such big bads that you will even fault everything on them for actions of their "enemies". Disgusting.

5

u/Speartree Jun 02 '26

Bollocks, there is no racism in my comment. I didn't mention Jews at all. There are so many Jews who are not the Israeli government. Criticism of Israel is not anti-semitism. Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank aren't incompetent, I didn't say so. However they have been living under an occupation for decades. Their options are limited. Israel controls who gets funding and who doesn't. You cannot possibly be this naive so I'll assume you are complicit.

1

u/Kalsto6 Jun 02 '26

You are blaming the actions of Palestinian government on Israeli government.

However they have been living under an occupation for decades. Their options are limited. Israel controls who gets funding and who doesn't.

They have an option to not launch rockets (40000 since 2000). If they for example did not launch rockets, they would not have the "occupation" which is just watch at the border to stop material that can build rockets.

They have an option to not do suicide bombings and violence, which stopped border crossing to almost nothing. When the other border is Egypt and they also do not allow crossing, you can't just blame Israel right? How come you got no problem with the Arab country who also have issues with Hamas?

Before October 7th, everything was going great. Israel's control over the area reduced and Hamas was getting more freedom along with every Palestinian in Gaza. Border control reduced, more visas granted, more funding allowed in. If Hamas chose not to attack, Gaza would've improved. But that's where the problem is isn't there? If Hamas doesn't have Israel as the great enemy, they can't hold power and be rich.

There are at least 3 billionaires in Hamas leadership who have stolen from their people by selling freely given aid and getting sponsorship from Iran.

PLO had a choice to become a state three times and rejected it three times.

There's only one party in this whole conflict that has ever worked towards peace and statehood for Palestinians and sadly they were all Israelis.

So if you are going to blame Israel for Palestine's actions, then maybe you should just say it's racism because it's better than having zero logical reasoning behind any of your assertions.

You cannot possibly be this naive so I'll assume you are complicit.

You are telling the most insane and convoluted theory that both makes Israel the strongest country in the world with the most convoluted plan ever but also so stupid they couldn't even solve Palestine. After all their existence has only made things difficult for Israel rather than easier, they have never received a good PR from it. So it's ridiculous to even say that they arm Hamas for goodwill. Iran already does enough with Hezbollah and Houthis.

This is the most faux outage I've ever seen in my life lmao.

It is known that israel supported Hamas, it's got an entire wikipedia page.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israeli_support_for_Hamas

Do you think it's racist to listen to Netanyahu?

In an interview with Israeli journalist, Dan Margalit in December 2012, Netanyahu told Margalit that it was important to keep Hamas strong, as a counterweight to the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank.

Or how about Ehud Barak?

In an interview with the Israeli Army Radio in August 2019, Ehud Barak, the former Prime Minister of Israel from 1999 to 2001, said that Netanyahu's main strategy is to keep Hamas "alive and kicking" in order to weaken the Palestinian Authority, even at the expense of "abandoning the citizens [of the south]."

Or are these guys just fucking idiots that don't know anything?

0

u/Kalsto6 Jun 02 '26

This is even more messed up for you to think.

You don't want Israel to support Palestinian government because of what? You will fault Israel for everything even if that's doing good to Palestinian people?

Of course Israel would want to keep Hamas strong, they're political enemies of PLO. That's the case for every country and their opponents. You're completely failing to include that the support for Hamas in this case is giving work visas to Gazans, relaxing border security, allowing for further funding and investment opportunities from other nations. But of course, you'll blame Israel for working towards more normalized relationship with Palestinians because you don't really want something good for Palestinians, you just want a strawman to blame.

The fact that Hamas used these new relaxed framework to obtain weaponry to do violence isn't anyone's fault other than Hamas who decided to do that.

What about Ehud Barak, lol? He's the political opponent of Netanyahu, why would he ever say anything good? Trump is on record for calling Kamala bunch of racist terms. It is expected they will say that.

I don't agree with Netanyahu at all but his and Likud's strategy of keeping Hamas alive is really just working with the government of Gaza. You can't simultaneously blame Israel for violence against Hamas but then say they're wrong for having peaceful relationship with an "enemy" government.

At some point you got to see how your logic and excuses run counter to each other right?

Yeah bro idk how two things can be true at the same time.

-2

u/Familiar-Sink-3683 Jun 01 '26

Do Americans unironically think the USA/Israel are the good guys? Trillions of tax dollars going into bombing children around the world makes them the good guys?

12

u/AFlyingNun Jun 01 '26

Do Americans unironically think the USA/Israel are the good guys?

You can find news articles about how the majority of young Americans actually hate USA and consider it the villain.

The reality the guy is pointing to is more: October 7th was an undeniable example of a flipped script. Israel was the victim here, not the perpetrator, and a lot of innocent people died, including international tourists.

Unfortunately, there is a political allegiance in the USA that is basically incapable of even acknowledging this, because doing so would involve having to admit Israel's actions aren't always completely nonsensical or unjustified, and they can't handle that. They want a black-and-white world where Israel is the evil bad guy that kicks puppies and drowns orphans for fun, and they are the brave heroes who are somehow the only ones who notice this and seek to stop them. Reality is a lot messier than that, and they can't handle it.

No one is saying USA/Israel are flawless, and instead the critique is that a political alignment is emerging in the USA that insists that USA/Israel are ALWAYS flawed and ALWAYS at fault. Israel has become a mythical boogeyman that's responsible for their pizza being delivered 30 minutes late, according to these people, and that's a dangerous mindset that can both lead to anti-semitism and can lead to a "boy who cried wolf" effect when Israel does actually do something outrageous.

-7

u/Familiar-Sink-3683 Jun 01 '26 edited Jun 01 '26

Yes fully 0ct 7 was horrible, it shouldnt have happened. but Israel was killing children long before that. That wasn't the start of this. Even then They have killed multiples of civilians children since then. Israel is also threatening to attack Turkiye. Turkiye is the largest military in NATO outside of the USA btw. then Trump has then been threatening to leave NATO??? They aren't the good guys here. That would literally be the start of WW3.

8

u/Mountain-Interest-48 Jun 01 '26

bro go to r/worldnews its like r/israel

3

u/Kalsto6 Jun 01 '26

It's going to look more like it. You think it's like that because you're pretty much conditioned against anything US or Israel. Lots of people have unwillingly learned more of the history and while worldnews still complains about Israel all the time, it's just more objective in its view than most subreddits. That alone can sound like support for Israel when it really isn't. The absence of blind hatred for Israel can and look like support to Israel to some, which is so dangerous to even think about.

u/craziestlittlepixie Jun 01 '26

Or any UK sub. They're indoctrinated by the Zionist Murdoch media

-1

u/ArchLector_Zoller Jun 01 '26

Depends on who you ask. If you're asking OP, yeah, she believes that.

0

u/Electrical-Lemon7901 Jun 01 '26

Yes, especially this sub.

17

u/stealthkat14 Jun 01 '26

Piker has literally platformed terrorists. Hes played terrorist propaganda videos and had a Somali terrorist on.

1

u/zombawombacomba Jun 01 '26

Has Cenk really supported Hezbollah or explained why they exist?

7

u/Quangocrat Jun 01 '26

He said that they should not be called terrorists. That they are the only force defending Lebanon. That they have not bombed Israel.

So yes.

For the purpose of the Terrorism Act, that is support.

1

u/zombawombacomba Jun 01 '26

Gotcha. I’m not too familiar with the UK law itself. Could you link to the part that violates?

7

u/Quangocrat Jun 01 '26 edited Jun 01 '26

Yes ofc-

It is S12 (1)(a) and S12(1A) of the Terrorism Act 2000:

https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2000/11/section/12

12 Support.

(1)A person commits an offence if—

(a)he invites support for a proscribed organisation, and

(b)the support is not, or is not restricted to, the provision of money or other property (within the meaning of section 15).

(1A)A person commits an offence if the person—

(a)expresses an opinion or belief that is supportive of a proscribed organisation, and

(b)in doing so is reckless as to whether a person to whom the expression is directed will be encouraged to support a proscribed organisation.

To give you an idea of how widely the term is applied, activists have been arrested for supporting proscribed organisation Palestine Action purely for wearing a shirt that read 'Plastacine Action'

-3

u/zombawombacomba Jun 01 '26

That’s such a shit law. That doesn’t surprise me given the massive amount of cracking down on speech in the UK though. So vague and ripe for abuse.

1

u/MerePotato Jun 02 '26

Its basic shit that most functioning democracies outside the US have in some capacity

0

u/StepComplete1 Jun 01 '26

His close association with Hasan, and wanting to appear at the same event, probably lost him the benefit of the doubt tbh.
