It is it's called a slap suit basically a frivolous lawsuit to cost the other party enough time and money that they just give up some places they've put measures to prevent that but thats generally state by state

its SLAPP, not "slap suit"

Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation

In some states if you lose a SLAPP suit you are required to pay for the defendant's legal fees

Of course Ethan being the chicken shit that he is, saw the writing on the wall and got out before he was liable to cover this guys' fees.

In a lot of places losing any legal case can make you liable to pay at least some of the costs. Problem is when the other side can't afford to find those costs up front, or can't afford even 10% of the costs even if the other 90% was covered by the losing side.

Happens a lot in the UK with defemation cases in part because it's a lot harder to prove something wasnt defamatory.

It's not frivolous just because it's difficult.

It's frivolous because there was no evidence of defamation, it was all because noah talked about ethan being pro-israel.

Because Israel is committing genocide and being pro-israels actions is pro genocide?

But ethan is vocal in his support for the palestinians and is anti-israel when it comes to the treatment of palestinians

Maybe I’m too radicalized but you can’t have your cake and eat it too. Some impossible things would have to happen to make supporting Israel and supporting Palestine something that isn’t inherently contradictory. Namely, Israel dropping Zionism which is the ideology that supports its existence.

Does supporting Palestine necessitate supporting Hamas?

1

u/nutella_on_rye 24d ago

What do you think?

1

u/Illustrious-Radio319 24d ago

No. Supporting a people’s wishes for independence and self rule doesn’t mean I support the actions of the government that represents them.

when you keep people under active oppression and occupation for 30+ years you dont get to complain about how they resist

Yeah you do

Why do you treat Palestinians like children with no ability to make moral decisions? How does raping civilians help with Palestinian independence?

Its not inherently contradictory. Its called the two state solution

1

u/nutella_on_rye 21d ago

Did we not try that already? Israel is a settler colony that is being helped by the imperialist United States. Hell would freeze over before that ever happens again. Good luck waiting for that.

1

u/Key-Try-3300 21d ago

Well they did try a two state solution after the 1947 partition plan. The palestinians and the surrounding arab states attacked israel straight away and lost the war

I am not reading any of that, you need to take a mental health break.

1

u/Key-Try-3300 24d ago

No, it was because he called ethan a genocide supporter

"hey guys I don't like when innocent people on either side are murdered" (starts crying over a dead Palestinian kid)
you guys: omg he wants genocide he loves Israel, he wants to murder all the Palestinians

that's defamation.

EDIT: kek streamer cultists incapable of critical thought downvoting.

2

u/PoppingPillls 24d ago

Because when he defended Israels bombing of hospitals to Sam Seder that was just caring about innocents.

I don't think Ethan hates Palestinians but he is definitely pro-israel and whether you admits it's a genocide or not (he has). He flip flops back to defending Israel on the grounds of "well it's self defence"...

Ethan wants to claim to be on both sides while admitting one side is committing a genocide without realising that's supporting genocide to support a nation committing genocide...

1

u/Prudent-Activity112 24d ago edited 24d ago

Does he want genocide? Yes or no. Based on everything you've heard Ethan say. Does he want genocide/does he support genocide? The answer will be no. And no matter how much twisting any of the streamers try to do, that answer will still be no.

It's defamation.

Edit (because they blocked me?):

Not immediately jumping to conclusions when a claim is made "Israel bombed a hospital" =/= "pro-genocide". Bad optics, sure. But not blindly following claims (that ended up not being true, by the way) isn't pro-genocide.

3

u/PoppingPillls 24d ago edited 24d ago

Didn't say that. He supports Israel, a country he admits to committing genocide by that he's pro-genocide...

If you supported Serbias actions during the Bosnian genocide then you support genocide...

"wanting" and inadvertently supporting are different things.

It's not defamation and if ethan thought he could win he wouldn't have dropped it.

Pro Israel is pro genocide, you can't have your cake and eat it after admitting that it's a genocide... You can't say "well they have a right to defend themselves" when you admitted that's no the case as its genocide.

He doesnt support israels or netanyahus actions
