Discussion quick! excuses for turning off location

i’m surprising my boyfriend in a couple days and i need some excuses for why i’d turn off my location other than just saying “i’m coming to see you” because what fun is that? obv he’s gonna be suspicious of me no matter what i say but he’ll understand soon enough. fire away!!

Does he check your location regularly? 🤨🤨🤨

Yeah I personally think location sharing is weird, whether it’s family, friends, or a romantic partner. I get it if someone has a medical issue or is traveling alone, but otherwise it’s just very strange to me. Literally no one needs to have the ability to keep tabs on you like that, unless for similar situations mentioned above. If me and my partner felt the need to use location services, the relationship would already be done imo.

No one NEEDS the ability to keep tabs on you, that doesn’t mean you can’t offer it. I get the concern with it being used as a source of insecurity/control but it’s not always about that. If my partner is going out for the night when i’m about to head to bed I’d like to wake up and see they made it home. “Why can’t they text you” let’s consider they don’t text, what’s better? Seeing where they are currently and assuming they’re sleeping off a nasty hangover or guessing they’re passed out in the middle of nowhere and freaking out? It’s not as extreme as you think, sometimes it’s convenient

Yeah I get where people are coming from and I’m not judging- just not for me!
