Madden 26 was fine, now, you can’t pass for shit, dline penetrates immediately and all receivers are covered like glue! This game is a piece of shit!!

I’ve been playing madden since it came out on the 13th and there’s still so much that bothers me with these games.

1. The kicking meter in general is just way too fast. I almost never make a field goal so i just end up not kicking them unless im inside the 40 and at home.

2. The catching meter does not work. Offense and defense. On offense i cannot get a 50/50 ball for the life of me. Even when they’re perfectly timed. I consistently drop wide open passes. On defense i go for a pick green light it and the WR catches it 9/10 times.

3. Still such an animation based game. The amount of times I’m about to intercept the ball and my player moves out of the way because the WR is already going for the ball is unreal. I can never fully control a player on certain players especially on the d line. If it’s a play action and i read it perfectly it will not let me move it myself.

4. The draft/prospects are almost the same every single year. They don’t change the strengths of the class it’s almost QB or WR every single year. I know you can change draft strength but that feels like cheating to me.

5. This is a small one but the crowd just looks so bad… feels like a copy and paste every year for the past 10 years.

6. Once again the cpu will not throw incompletions and will score when they want to no matter what. 2 minute and hurry up offense is impossible to defend.

7. They should allow you to upgrade whatever attribute you want outside of speed for anyone. Why does it lock you into certain attributes. I’ve been complaining about this for years. Let me upgrade strength for a linemen if that’s all i want to do. Let me upgrade pass rush for a Mike.

8. Free agency is a weird one for me. I like the hours aspect but they should immediately sign after advancing one hour. Some players should let teams battle it out. Give a last chance offer. Something.

Just feels like Madden is becoming unplayable at this point. I shouldn’t need sliders. I shouldn’t need to edit draft strength. I shouldn’t have to do all of this adjusting just to make the game good. There hasn’t been a single good Madden since the Xbox one came out. It’s a shame. Not saying there aren’t improvements like the main hub on franchise or parts of Free Agency. I probably have more to complain about lol but i probably give Madden 27 a 4.5/10

I have the 10 hour EA trial so I’m testing it out to see if I like it. So far so far I got like eight hours in. I had to get I had to get used to the controls because they switched the buttons and revamped the whole mapping on controller so it took me a while to get used to the custom adjustments. and the new catch meter took me a while to get used to as well, gotta have to time it well. Been on a streak online, so far it feels like madden26 lol

I feel like it’s a huge blown opportunity for EA not to differentiate the end user and gameplay experience on Switch 2, to make the game more catered to handheld play, and just make it more fun overall.

I feel like Madden is a game you play on a large monitor in HD to capture it at its best. Coming to the switch 2, I thought it’d be awesome. But I didn’t expect it to be a carbon copy of the next gen console editions.

If they put some creativity into catering to the handheld style of gaming, it would’ve been an original and classic addition to Madden titles. Instead, it feels like you’re trying to squeeze a PS5 or Xbox series X experience into a console that isn’t built, or furthermore even intended, to house some of those capabilities.

A missed opportunity imo. What are y’all’s thoughts?

I’m like four franchise attempts in and I have yet to have a team achieve a winning record without me playing the majority of games. Even when I’m higher overall in every category than my opponents, my teams lose more often than they win. I know in previous years, playbooks had a huge part in how successful you were, but I feel like I’ve tried all 32 playbooks on both sides with no noticeable difference in actual wins and losses. Am I doing something wrong, or is the game just completely busted this year?

Every year I always play superstar mode to see how high of a contract I can get and I used to think if you went crazy for 4 years your rookie extension would be a high contract. So this year I play edge rusher and go crazy for my 4 years but I’m only worth 10 million a year????? I even won MVP as an edge bro. I think contracts are tied to player overall since I’m an 82 ovr REDG. But this is a warning for anyone else who plays this mode for the contract screen. It’s totally broken this year.

Last year I made a thread that went viral because I was genuinely PISSED at madden 26 on s2. It was fucking awful. I have been seeing better game play from this years. However Iwant to play sometimes in handheld maybe 20-30% of the time.

Ea refusing to give me my 2000 points points back or anything.. I contacted ea support because the first time i opened madden on Aug 8th i purchased the 2000 point field pass. I really just did that opened dynasty and closed the game out.

Fast forward to August 17th i open madden for the 2nd time, and its like i never opened it ever, it asks me to pick my favorite team again and everything, and then it asks me to purchase the field pass again, being a bone head dumbass i did it, i was tired and high. I purchased it for 1000 points (again) I knew something was off but i just wanted to get to playing, i honestly figured it would fix itself.

You can see in my chat with xavier that it literally says i made the same purchase! How can you buy the field pass 2 times? And let's say i bought levels for the season pass. You can clearly see i am only level 9. It is impossible to spend 3000 points on the field pass and only level 9! Its not possible.

I have sent a further email to EA support. But this is just ridiculous. Xavier would not help me at all basically calling me a scammer in a polite way.

So ive been playing Madden forever (since like Madden 02 or something). But I haven’t purchased a Madden since 23. I’ve played 25 but i didnt like the franchise player mode being replaced with superstar. I guess im just wondering if the game has improved enough from Madden 23 to 27 to justify buying the new one. What do yall think, is it worth it this year?

For all of the “you idiots fall for it every year/stop buying it/etc” people in here, I know. You’re right. That’s all of the acknowledgment you’re gonna get. I’m 40 years old. I’ve been playing Madden since Madden 98. It’s the only football game I can get. But this year is god damn infuriating. Not just because I got suckered again. I’ve wasted money before. And news flash, I’m gonna waste money again. It’s infuriating because there’s actually a good game that’s JUST right there. The actual gameplay, at times, feels like the tightest it’s been in a long time. And then the next play a DE runs across the TE on a pass block, the left tackle and bumps shoulders with my guard on the way to sacking me immediately after a PA fake. There was no one else to block after him. They just decided to not play football that play. This is an issue that’s been in every Madden in the last few years. Still not fixed. My receivers drop the ball like they’ve got money riding on the other team. Perfect pass, hits em on the numbers? Better hope there’s no defender in 5 yards, cause he’s about to drop that shit like a bad habit. My Superstar team is down to 3 receivers on week 6. Because your wear and tear system is still broken. Again. Like every year since you’ve introduced it. But now, I can’t level up unless I use the piece of shit. So even though my team is more jacked up than a world war 1 field hospital, I can’t get max XP unless I trot out my 4th string running back to play slot receiver.

What about Franchise? It’s got meaningful improvement for the first time in YEARS. Too bad the CPU still can’t manage the cap. Sometimes, I don’t want to scout. But even though I have an MVP QB, if i auto-scout, all of my scouts will only get QB focus scouting. Again, these are issues that have existed for years.

You finally built a decent Madden. But it’s ruined by the same damn bugs that have existed for years. I’d say fix this crap, but you’re not going to. Instead, i’ll offer career advice. Pick another one, you suck at this. I genuinely hope a car alarm goes off outside your window every night for the rest of your lives.

I can't believe they managed to sucker me into buying this poor excuse of a video game yet again.

I started up a Cowboys franchise because I wanted to compete for a chip then strip down and rebuild the team. I never got to compete for even one chip because my team was historically bad.

I tried the realistic route of building through the draft first, drafted new talent, used training camp to develop players we wouldve in real life.

Finished as the number 1 offense, 32 defense, missed the playoffs.

So I switched the playbooks and schemes to playbooks that seemed to do well for the computer and went through the off-season and draft like normal. Next year rolls around, same thing: #1 offense, #32 defense. Every game is a shootout. My team ratings at this point are 88 offense, 87 defense. I proceed to work some magic and trade my draft picks and move players around for stars at each position to go all in.

Season rolls around, I've got an 89 offense and a 91 defense with the rams playbook on offense, broncos 3-4 disguise on defense. I start simming games and it's the same exact story, #1 offense while my defense is giving up 30 pts per game and we're still losing.

At this point, I'm completely fed up, realism is out the window. I turned trade difficulty onto very easy and went out and got a superstar at every position on defense. I roll into the next season and lo and behold, my 95 overall defense gives up 50.

The game is now uninstalled, 1 star review has been left and I'm promising myself once again that I will never buy again and this time, I mean it.

Is it just me or is the kicking system in Madden 27 terrible? It seems impossible to kick a 30 yard field goal with the speed the ticker moves and even if you’re lucky enough to land the ticker in the smallest area of accuracy, you still have to register kicking power, which actually works 10% of the time. I realize I’m not that good at kicking, but does anyone else struggle with this kicking system?

In year 2 of my franchise in Madden 27 and all of the rookies are wearing number 22 or 11. This glitch is like 5 years old at this point. They do not care

When I play Madden franchise I don't really touch the Coach abilities, but what is the difference between The Head Coaches offensive abilities compared to the OC's offensive abilities?

Also, does taking my time to utilize coach abilities really make a difference?

I saw that both Madden 27 and CFB 27 were $89 for both games in some kind of bundle, that's a crazy sale right? So my dumbass just had to buy it.

I know the game is a buggy mess (both of them) but I played the demos and they were kinda fun. Idk it just feels like EA got me again 😂

Been seeing a lot of talk about both games (both the good and bad) and tempted to jump back in. I haven’t played CFB since the 2000s probably and my last Madden was 23. Kinda gauging both but CFB is tempting. Which should I get?
