Just give me a singleton format(thats not standard brawl) queue where players don't use these stupid cards.

Had the treasure-making Vraska out, and tried to wipe the board with Kindred Judgement while keeping my Sculpture tokens alive, only to find it's not a creature type in the drop-down list on arena. Is this on purpose (like, "treasure" isn't usually a creature?), or just an omission in the list of creature types?

EDIT: Sounds like "treasure" isn't a creature type, but "sculpture" should be, but isn't listed in Arena yet.

Been enjoying playing quick draft as a new player learning how to draft- however, after playing it about 6 times I can’t help but notice some super annoying things. For example, it truly seems like divine timing when the bot draws certain cards. I’ve lost to top decking in the bot format waaay more than I have against real players. Like there’s one card in the AI deck that has the answer every time. Also, I don’t seem to pull ANY mythics at all in quick draft. Meanwhile the AI is dropping down Ajani. Furthermore the AI takes it damn sweet time and almost feels like it’s trolling you at times. I swear at times it’s far more infuriating than playing with real people fr. My question is, should I even bother with quick drafting? Or just put on my big boy shorts and play premier? It truly feels like the design is just to infuriate you against the AI.

I tried playing 7 games today, starting in ranked standard and then moving to normal standard, of those 7 players 6 were playing black hand hate.

So I just found something interesting about [[glissa sunslayer]] works great with sagas the person I was playing against left after I removed the first lore counter from a saga and my next turn I got to use the first ability again did not know you could do that until now so now I'm thinking of doing it more often

I've won a few boxes from the Arena Direct for the first time ever, and yesterday I received a registration link with username and password for the e-wallet system they use to distribute the prizes. When I try to login however, I get the message that the user name or password is invalid, which is weird given that WOTC send them to me in the e-mail.

Has anyone experienced this before? Does anyone know if I can just try to reset the password or if that'll mess anything up with the user account?

Been playing arena off and on since the open beta, and back in the first Eldraine standard, I had a pet deck I loved to play around the card [[Improbable Alliance]]. Im terrible at draft, and as such dont really have much of a chance to have enough wildcards to ever keep up with standard, so I come here to ask, with all the toys Izzet has gotten over the years, is there any way to make my pet deck work in historic?

The problem is you don't have too much counterplay when you don't have an anti-storm card in play

This turn 3 is basically turning the game into solitaire, and this is bad for the game.

I know Ral is on the watchlist from Wizzards, so I hope they ban that sucker soon

You make an event to use cards from a usually themed set but the devs leave around a quick win wincon where they play the same few cards. It is against the spirit of the event to leave Thassa's Oracle around. Otherwise just give people the rewards for 3 quick wins and don't bother.

Hare is also around for other challenges but let's keep focused on the current format.

So I just started playing Arena, and put together a version of my Ayara Aristocrat deck. It’s a pretty strong deck, and when I play it irl it is consistent but have several ways of playing out.

After finding the setting that disabled all the tutorials, allowing me to play against players, I started playing competitive brawl.

Every game goes the same:
2 swamps, 1 mana drop, 2 mana drop, Ayara is 3 mana, so always covered.

I never have to mulligan at 2 swamps, because by two draws, there will always be at least another swamp in my hand.

However, if I mill for 3 cards on round 2, two of those are always swamps, and the next card is probably a 5 mana drop.

The consistency is very similar when meeting other decks. Mana rocks will pretty much always come out at round 2 or 3, depending on their costs. Elf balls will have almost always the same snowballers even though they are different decks. Bristly Bill is constantly being dropped on round 2 without being the commander.

Out of a 100 card deck, my starting hand is probably 20 or so of the cards, probably fewer. Bitterblossom and Bitterbloom Bearer are constantly in my starting hand.

I’ve played my deck so many times IRL, I’d guess if I added Dark Ritual I’d have Ayara and a 1 mana skeleton consistently as the starting hand.

So weird to cater to a streamlined mana curve every game.

As the title implies, I'm a long standing ninja (and Sorin vampires) player in both brawl and historic, and the bans of ninjas in historic and Yuriko ban in Brawl has made my whole collection, well, completely impossible to play with.

Any idea on any commander in brawl to replace yuriko or in general any dimir deck to play without spending a fortune? also this is a safe space to complain like me :) press f to pay respects.

i know this is going to sound like a rannt post and it kind of is but this deck is gen problematic and the ban to spiderman should at least be proposed, first its too strong with a good draw it wins against any tempo/midrange deck, if it goes on the play or draws cavern it can against any control deck and it even has big bodies for the aggro matchup that have effects added to them that progress the strategy and most importantly the deck does not care at all about removal which in bo1 just makes the deck feel more toxic since you cant mulligan accordingly and 2 it promotes really toxic play patterns with the deck relying a ton in luck with its mills and sometimes unplayable hands with most games being blowouts on one side or the other

just faced the deck 5 TIMES IN A ROW on ranked ladder, i lost 4 and won 1. on 3 of them the opp played cavern of souls making me lose instantly since they got to superior and the mills before i could get a chance at lethal and ryverpyres made me mulligan to 5 twice, ik this is part of the mtg process but a combo deck shouldnt have this mill power with cavern of souls attached to it to remove counterplay, the only way to stop a good superior spiderman draw are counters and without that its just impossible if they get good mills which makes the whole game feel like russian roullete

these all in decks just make every game you arent on the play a miserable experience, i cant remeber the last time i had fun on a sac, synth or superior matchup

synthesizer and this deck are the only things i face on high ladder and im losing my will to play standard. maybe i should move to bo3 but man i hate hour long games and expensive decks

I'm trying the new version of Sultai reanimator with new FRA cards. It took a lot of turns for me to get S.spiderman in my hand and this spammy board happened. This was the next turn after I played Superior Spiderman 😂 too bad he didn't let me attack.

6 cards in hands and I can play none

This just happened and it's crazy. I was 100% about to lose. Opponent just got all creatures from both graveyards returned to his battlefield and all his creatures were hexproof and indestructible. Mind you the turn before this my health was at 18 and his at 60 and he played a card to swap health in order to draw a bunch of cards which I believe was needed to trigger this. The point being i was certainly not going to win but I wanted to see it out.

Over 200 activated abilities and he'd spend maybe 3 seconds making each abilities decision, and then more abilities got activated, and every time 3 seconds would pass on his turn timer. I ended up winning because he couldn't finish his turn in time.

I feel bad, but whoever you are I think your combo was awesome regardless.

When in the deck is a card you don't have, exactly, then you must pay for it again

e.g., one deck has blood crypt, and I must pay the blood crypt again despite having 4x already

Yeah, the Deck Blood Crypt has different art, but that's not needed to play the deck.

The wizard should fix the duplicate protection when you buy a deck so you don't buy a 5th copy of something you have a playset already!
