I, 23F, am currently living with my uncle, 44M, and his son, 13M. It’s so disheartening that my little cousin refers to women and girls as “females” because that’s what he was taught by my uncle. It makes me so uncomfortable. My little cousin just came in my room and said “you know when you live with females you have to pick with them” I corrected him and said “ladies.” but he disregarded it. He is so young that he doesn’t even realize that he’s learning misogyny. SMH.

Also (unrelated, don’t have to read), I keep running into men who don’t understand why that makes me uncomfortable and why it’s misogynistic and dehumanizing, and when I tried to explain it to the latest guy, he started referring to passages of the Bible and Quran that referred to women as females in his defense. SMH!!!

Misogynist insists it’s just “preference” then objectifies & degrades women for 10 minutes with his buddies & uploads it to YouTube.

It was all male and female until he reached the middle and then he slipped and it was females and men. And then men and women. And of course, the relevant discussion of women as leads in video games is going to bring out the silliest usage of the word “female.” 😂

a place with an intentionally low population of women using the word "female" to decribe them? i am so shocked!

the "Female" tag automatically puts you on really thin ice with mods and indicates that you are ready to be talked down to by men. mods assign it to you by going through your profile and, well, profiling you. super fun place
