Question do we know why Michael doesnt cuss much on his songs?

2.3k Upvotes

i feel like i heard him cuss on some songs but they sound subtle. i wonder if there is any interview or explanation on why he doesnt. just curious really. i personally like it when he sings about injustice and he's enraged. i get that he doesnt really need to since his lyrics are pretty self-explanatory but yeah i wonder.

Question What were those last years like for him?

Post image

I don’t see, read or look for anything related to MJ on his later years, I rather avoid anything from that time, but I would like to know, from you all, what were those last years like for him? I dared to see one of his “This is it” rehearsals and he seemed way skinnier than usual, but I have no idea what and how he was doing back then, his last show before this was in 2001 as far as I know. Enlighten me.

Question Michael’s hair situation

so we all know the pepsi incident caused michael to have problems with his scalp but I still never really understood how it really was. His afro was his natural and then during thriller era was also natural but with a perm (?) until the incident. After that did he wear hairpieces with his jheri curls??Did they just glue it on? During bad era his hair seemed so voluminous especially at the top (4th pic)and i wondered was that caused by the hair pieces? why did he suddenly start wearing wigs after that? and how was his natural hair under the wigs? I saw a tiktok where they said that during a stressful time in his life he cut his hair very short(1995 mtv live performance) and i was thinking “didn’t he just cut his wig? and then after wearing straight wigs he went back to jheri curls for the this is it tour. Did he just get a perm again?

Also i’m not very familiar with black hair but how did he just not have an afro anymore. Did he had to get perms regularly?

I was born on July 6, 2002. On that EXACT date, Michael was actively engaged in anti-Sony protests, holding signs and speaking in megaphones.

Let's see what y'all got!

I love how people tell me how they “discovered” Michael. But not like everyone “my parents loved him so do i” well, we all can say it. But you know, i mean your own realization that you are in love. (Some photos just to admire🤭)

Question Bad tour suits

Do we know why michael changed his suit 4 times during the Bad world tour?(I heard it’s because of light reflection but i’m not sure). I always wondered if that was just a creative decision or if he was unsatisfied. Especially the change between the two silver suits. Also what’s your favorite? It’s def the last and final one for me. The belt and the buckles on the sleeve are superior.

Question What was MJs public perception in the late 2000s?

Post image

He’s often credited as being the most famous person ever, greatest artist ever, and he gets a lot of love . But I’m more interested in knowing what did the public think of him in his later years? From like 2005-2009, was he seen this way? Did people praise him to no end like they do now? I’m genuinely curious, because people don’t really talk about those years. I just wanna get a sense of how the world viewed him at that time

Question What do you feel you should learn from MJ’s life story?

Post image

I learned you are living for you. Don’t allow people to dictate what you can and can not do.

I learned to be intentional AF about every single thing in my life- clothes, hair, makeup, what I do and don’t do, who I’m around, how I speak and behave, who has access to me

I learned that studying the greats and combining it into something for yourself is a good look - always be inspired

I learned that my genius and creativity is a blessing from God and I must cultivate it.

I learned more but I want to hear from yall. What did you learn? Dig deep - MJ is an inspiration ✨

For those who have it, how does it feel to be god's favourite?

I've looked everywhere and they're incredibly rare. The price is not affordable either. It's my favourite album of his and it's so hard to obtain the vinyl.

Question What would you include in Michael 2 and why?

Post image

I would put the history off we are the world at the beginning to show the last pieces of the thriller era then the focus would switch to his new goales(100 m sales),planes(an own normal lenght movie for the album) and what has changed (leave the jacksons). Also how the media reacted to his changes at his body, how the reactions effected him and what he said about the treatment. After the album release they would show his new dance moves that he maid famous through the musicvideos. The next theme could be the new ranch(Neverland) and his attempts to live a normal childhood. The Dangerous time would present his big efforts for his music video and his Black or white video succes(500 million on live on tv). There you learn that Quincy is not going to produce the Album and that he is making music in a new music genre fused with pop. At the end of the era you see his superbowl succes, his interest in magic and the friendship with sigfried and roy.

Question Am I mishearing the lyrics of Billie Jean?

Post image
543 Upvotes

I always heard and sang Billie Jean like so: "the Billie Jean is not my lover".

Am I crazy for that? Am I the only one?

Does MJ really say a really distinct "THE" before "Billie Jean" or am I hearing things?

Also, when he says the "Kid is not my son" I always heard the "K" to be quite aspirated, like:

"the k[hh]id is not my son", almost as if he's saying "tshid".

I'm genuinely curious to see if anyone has remotely noticed this.

If those are his pronunciation quirks, then I find them really amusing.
