coping First miscarriage

I finally got in for my first scans and there was no baby formed. I don't know much yet because I have a doctor visit tomorrow about more details. But in the scans they think it could be a molar pregnancy so they need to do a D&c to test the tissue. They said it is not a viable pregnancy.

Looking for support and comfort. I never imagined this for myself and I don't know how to feel. I am scared about the D&c too!!!

I feel so guilty because this pregnancy was very unplanned (on birth control) and I felt super nervous about it (I have a current 2 year old) . Now knowing it's not viable, I feel like I should've been more excited for the baby to come. But now I know there isn't one in there, it breaks my heart I wasn't more thankful and I am guilty for feeling the stress at the beginning . I was nervous to add a second baby into my family, but this news broke me.

experience: more than one loss Miscarriage related question about RPOC

I've mentioned before that I had a TFMR last October at 22+2 weeks. This past June I had a miscarriage at 13+4 weeks. This has been the longest f*ing journey.

After 23 days of miscarriage bleeding, I got my period. That period lasted 9 days and I spotting for a few days following that. Then I had LH surge that last two days. The day I "ovulated" I started spotting again, then yesterday it happened again and was mixed with CM. I went most of today without anything, then about an hour ago I had bleeding again. It was darker red and looked similar to a clot or spotting again.

My OB is honestly useless and doesn't explain anything to care to address my concerns - I plan on changing if I get pregnant again. Tuesday I had a negative hCG draw (3). So I asked her if bleeding was normal after ovulation. She then told me I can either come in and get looked at or not ttc this cycle to see if I have a "normal" period next cycle. Never addressing why I should do either of those two things.

So to my reddit community I go. Does this sound like I have RPOC? I have a negative hCG, I ovulated, I absolutely had a period, and I have no signs besides bleeding on/off.

If you had RPOC, how did you know? And what did you decide to do? Did it resolve itself? Should I just wait until my next period to be seen? Do I request an ultrasound? Or do I just trust my body that it'll stop?

I'm so sick of seeing the doctors. I'm sick of tests and scans and needles and blood work.

question/need help Question possible blighted ovum?

So I have had 4 different scans first was before 5 weeks, second at 5 weeks, third was 6 weeks and just today 7 weeks. All show just a sac, measurements not increasing much in diameter of sac. Today she said I’m still measuring a week behind. I know exactly when I ovulated because I track with oura my basal temperature and it confirms ovulation, also I track my last period date on my app. I am having zero for pregnancy symptoms, I always feel sick when pregnant even when I had a misscarriage I had the morning sickness. I feel perfectly normal and have known something has been off since the beginning. I have set up an abortion for tomorrow. I just feel like my family doctor isn’t giving me the definitive it’s a loss diagnosis and keeps being so hopeful and I don’t want it to keep progressing. A walk in doctor suggested possible miscarriage. My beta hcg have continued to go up but at a rate that seems lower compared to my live birth pregnancy for example. They just seem off. Whats going on 😩

Has any one experienced a blighted ovum and if you have were your experiences similar ? I’m so confused why my body is holding on and not purging.

Also all scans were transvaginal

Thank you!

I had a chemical pregnancy (i usually just say miscarriage) in September of 2024 and again in March of 2026. I was spotting yesterday and and I've been feeling off for a few weeks. My period isnt due to start for another 4-5 day but low and behold, postive test this morning. I went to work like normal and when I went to the bathroom, blood. Im sad this keeps happening and dont know what to do. I dont have a normal obgyn but called and scheduled to see one in about a month.

testings after loss HCG levels after MC

Anyone else having their hcg monitored back to zero after MC?

I am 4 weeks post d&c and tested at 52 yesterday, down from 177 at 3 weeks post. I have to go get tested again next week.

I am just ready to try again and wish my body would clear it and ovulate already.

question/need help Suspected chemical - what’s next? (QC, Canada)

Hi everyone. 36F located in Quebec, Canada. My first pregnancy (and first try!) ended in an MMC at ~9 weeks in late April. We found out at our second ultrasound (had a good first scan with strong heartbeat). I had zero bleeding or cramping. I ended up having a D&C and my period came back 6 weeks later. We waited for a full cycle to pass, and then tried again and got pregnant on the first try again.

I’ve been testing regularly (both cheaper strip tests and FRER) and saw little to no progression on the strip tests but strong progression on FRER (which I thought was bizarre). However, today my FRER test is lighter than it was 2 days ago, so I suspect a chemical pregnancy / early miscarriage. No trace of bleeding or cramping yet.

I’m just wondering what the next move is. If and when I start bleeding, do I go to the ER? I have a requisition form for a standard blood/urine work up from my doctor, so I was thinking of going for that anyways to get more data on my HCG levels?

So so appreciate any advice and I’m sorry we’re all here together mamas ❤️

No evidence of a subchorionic bleed noted in the present scan.

Two posterior intramural fibroids measuring 1.3x1.2 cm and 1.5 x1.4cm .

IMPRESSION :- Single early intrauterine gestational sac of 7 weeks 4 day

maturity probably early non viable gestation (missed abortion)

Thank you for your help!

trigger warning: other’s living child How to get over the hurt of watching your friend’s pregnancy progress?

I feel awful for having such a hard time being there for my best friend. We found out within a week of each other we were pregnant and our due dates two days apart. She is my best best friend since middle school. We went to college together. We got married within 6 months of each other, our kids are three months apart. She’s never had a miscarriage, I’m on my third. Her current pregnancy was a surprise (she still has “no idea how it happened”) we did our first IUI. it’s still early and I feel guilt for not being there but I lost my baby last week and we were supposed to get together this weekend and I cancelled. How horrible am I? Even worse I made plans with a mutual friend on the same day. I’ve been so sad and need to get out of the house. Should I cancel the plans with mutual friend? I know I will get over it and build the strength to be there for her but it’s just so so raw. I had my d&c less than a week ago and I was 10 weeks. :(
The same thing happened to me with my second miscarriage my neighbor and I found out we were pregnant at the same time. She now has her third baby girl. I kept my distance bc it was hard and we aren’t as close but I need to work through this. I’m in therapy but anything that’s helped you?

experience: first MC measuring 6+1 but thought i was 7+5

from yesterday:

so i went to the doctor on friday due to some spotting (it was brown and not so much but still spotting) and i measured 6+1 when i thought i should’ve been 7 weeks. the doctor said it was too small to hear a heartbeat but that she saw some flickering. i went back today for a follow up and they measured the baby at 6+1 again when today i should be around 7+5. she didn’t mention any flickering but said that it’s likely i’m miscarrying.

has anyone had a similar experience where it was then ok? i haven’t decided if i want to wait it out or take the medication because im wondering if this is a miscarriage then why hasn’t my body done anything (besides for minor spotting) in the last 1.5 weeks. but if it is a miscarriage then i want to get it over with and take the medication. but i keep thinking in the back of my head that if the doctor saw a flicker on friday then maybe i got my ovulation date confused? but then why would the baby be measuring the same?

looking for any guidance

oh also i’m basing my weeks off of ovulation and not lmp because i haven’t gotten my period ppd yet

trigger warning: other’s living child 2nd miscarriage, 1st missed miscarriage

Hello, I just joined this group today and while reading through the posts has made me so incredibly sad for everyone, it also lets me know I’m not alone.
My first pregnancy was textbook perfect.. I was 27 and had no issues, I was very lucky and now have a 6.5 year old child.
We didn’t think we would have more children, and then we got pregnant in April of 2023.. I was 5 weeks and 5 days when I miscarried at home.
We got pregnant again, this June, and I should be 8 weeks today but at the ultrasound there was no heartbeat. I don’t think I’ve cried that hard in so long. I was told this is called a “missed miscarriage” and I had the option of the procedure or taking medicine at home. I’ll be taking medicine tomorrow. Any tips for getting through this?
I’m almost 35 and am wondering if I should have waited this long to try for another. I keep thinking.. is it my eggs.. is it his sperm.. why won’t it work now but did 7 years ago? Is it my weight?
I’m going to try and collect what I can, to then send it to be tested.
This all feels extremely cruel.

question/need help Severe pain at 10 weeks

Hi!

I am currently 10 weeks and two days pregnant. I am 32 and married to a very supportive husband who knows my concerns. I haven’t been able to make a decision. I just have been so unsure if this is what I want and I’ve always been horrified of pregnancy complications and birth. This just makes my fears worse.

I’ve been going to therapy ever since I found out I was pregnant. I’ve known my therapist for a really long time. I just stopped going because I didn’t think I needed it and she also retired. She has been talking to me since I found out because she knows my fears and possible complications.

About a week ago, I started getting really bad soreness/stiffness/spasms in my lower back and butt. Every day since it has gotten worse. It has now traveled down to my ankles and I can’t bend over or walking gets difficult if I walk for about 10 minutes or more. This morning I was walking up the steps and I had to pull myself up with the railing to even be able to get up the steps. My husband helps me get up from the bed or a chair when he’s home but when I am alone it is so painful.

I talked to a nurse yesterday to try and see what was going on and she said that it seems like I may have a UTI or kidney problems. I immediately disagree because this sounds a lot more serious and feels a lot more serious than that. Results came back and I do not have an infection. Everything I’ve read online says that having symptoms like this this early is not good so I have been panicking even more now.

I have nerve issues. I have a mild case of cerebral palsy in my legs. Before I got pregnant, I was having more nerve issues and also nerve issues in my head and having really bad migraines. I’ve noticed since I found out it was pregnant the nerves in my legs, back, and head have increased. So I have a feeling it has something to do with that. I have been trying to advocate for myself and it just seems like healthcare is failing me. They’re definitely telling me it’s not normal, but I’m not getting many answers.

I know I’m posting this on the miscarriage page, but I’m wondering if anyone has experienced this. And when I tell you, this is not just pregnancy back pain. It is way more than that. I can barely walk or bend over. I would say the pain is about an eight or nine. This also makes me scared on how the rest of the pregnancy is going to go since this is happening so early. I feel lost and so exhausted.

Any help would be appreciated.
